Elektronická hrací kostka
Michalik, Martin ; Strnadel, Josef (referee) ; Bidlo, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design and implementation of an electronic dice using Raspberry Pi Pico W, accelerometer and communicates with supporting android application through Bluetooth connection.
Autonomous RC ship model
Jevická, Barbora ; Marada, Tomáš (referee) ; Zuth, Daniel (advisor)
This Master’s thesis deals with working on development kit, which is used for RC ship model. The basis are programmable Nucleo STM32 microcontrollers, to which other used modules are connected. The goal is to test each component and create system for navigation of the ship and wireless communication between controller and ship. GPS module and compass are used to navigate and determine the direction of the ship. Controller and ship can communicate through bidirectional wireless modules with antenna. The RC ship model can be switched between manual and autonomous modes. The main result of this thesis is autonomous movement of the ship on to a predetermined GPS coordinates and parallel communication with the user.
Wireless Control of Presentations by Pocket Computer
Liška, Jan ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Novosad, Petr (advisor)
This work deals with design and realization of an application for Pocket PC which controls presentation on notebook or desktop PC. The goal of this project is to free person from staying behind the computer during presentation. With this remote controller this person can move freely in the whole room and can be in better contact with audience. This document consists of short introduction to Pocket PCs and development tools for this devices. The main part describes concept and implementation of this application by client-server architecture. In the end there are suggestions for future development of this application.
Access Controll for USB Bus
Krajči, Martin ; Malinka, Kamil (referee) ; Očenáš, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis addresses the matter of controlling USB devices in operating system Linux. The main objective consists of making an application, which analyzes USB devices based on their attributes and decides, whether they should be allowed or blocked, while it is necessary to finish the inspection before a device is given a chance to perform potentially harmful activities. The thesis also discuses the need of blocking certain devices in terms of security. The final application was implemented as two independent modules. The first module represents an interface for defining specific rules to be used in order to determine the harmlessness of the device. Second module uses created rules to control USB devices discovered by kernel messages designed for subsystem UDEV. Based on the result of the control, the application decides whether the device should be authorized or unauthorized and informs the user about the performed action via terminal.
Development of a system for measuring the motor skills of small animals
Ryšavá, Michaela ; Götthans, Jakub (referee) ; Frýza, Tomáš (advisor)
The main objective of the project was to explore methods of motion measuring using sensors, select a suitable method, create a system and a application for measuring the speed of small animals. It is a dedicated project to measure a research in coperation with Masaryk university, which aimed to explore the the mobility of lizards living in the Czech Republic. In particular, commercial systems provide a solution by analyzing camera data. For the desired speed measurement of various shapes, the implementation of image processing is cost-ineffective and more complicated than using electronic sensor solutions. The most appropriate solution an infrared optical gate appears, due to constant results accuracy when changing the colors and sizes of measured individuals, small size and relatively easy implementation. Furthermore, a straight track and an electronic system using the selected optical gate concept has been constructed and implemented software for control and evaluating the entire measurement.
Library for Profiling and Visualization of Memory Consumption of C/C++ Programs
Podola, Radim ; Peringer, Petr (referee) ; Fiedor, Tomáš (advisor)
Performance is an important and, for some classes of programs, even critical aspect of user experience. The current approaches to performance profiling are, however, far from being satisfactory. The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to extend the current state-of-the-art of profiling and visualization solutions, with novel techniques which can be used for a more efficient search of performance bugs in C/C++ programs and their subsequent interpretation to the end user. Thesis briefly introduces existing tools dealing with similar problems and then proposes a novel solution to collection of profiling data and their illustrative interpretation. The resulting implementation is, moreover, integrated in the Perun --- Performance Control System --- platform for profile versioning. The functionality of the implementation is demonstrated on a series of non-trivial programs.
Application of RFID Technology for the Registration of Vehicles
Kraus, Zdeněk ; Lukáš, Roman (referee) ; Koutný, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis considers using of contanctless identification technology - RFID onto practical objective for vehicles registration. It describes basic principles of this techonology, components construction, process of communication and used frequency bands. Additionaly it describes complete system and process of it's development with solutions of difficulties, which has occured during the implementation. Finally it describes progress of system implementation and further additional possible development of the system. In conclusion it evaluates contribution of the whole thesis.
Moving Persons Detection and Tracking
Johanová, Daniela ; Zahrádka, Jiří (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the person detection using RGB-D Microsoft Kinect sensor. Human body detector is based on the method Combohod which uses both color and depth information from Kinect sensor. The aim of the thesis was to create a person detector whose functionality is demonstrated by proposing a statistical application that collects statistical information about the people who passed the shop window. At the end of the thesis the experiments with the detector under varios different conditions are described.
Ball Trajectory Estimation from Images
Heřman, Zdeněk ; Materna, Zdeněk (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
Main goal of this thesis is to design a method for ball trajectory estimation from images, and to evaluate the proposed method using an experimental setup. Both the method and the experimental setup were designed to be suitable for a golf simulator. The proposed solution uses a stereo camera for flying ball tracking. Accurracy of the ball detection in images is further improved by using a pulsed light source. A solution reaches an accuracy that can be compared with cheaper simulators that already exist. Nevertheless prize is lower.
MIDI over Ethernet
Lukáš, Vojtěch ; Říha, Kamil (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
This paper is about designing and building a device to adapt MIDI protocol for use on a standard computer network. The paper also includes a brief description of a network editor, which controls the whole system.
