VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION IN THE REGION OF SUŠICE - AGRICULTURAL AND INDUSTRIAL EDUCATION IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE 20TH CENTURY

The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of vocational education in the Sušice region at the end of the 19th century and in the first half of the 20th century. The thesis tries to find answers to the following questions: what kind of vocational schools were located in the Sušice region, what were their beginnings and development, who attended them, who supported them, what kind of education did the teachers achieve and what was the success rate of the students. The bachelor thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part creates a more comprehensive picture of the development of vocational education in the Czech lands in the context of Central Europe, it also describes the development of industry and deals with Jewish issues and Nazi occupation of the region. The practical part focuses on the Vocational Industrial School in Sušice and the Vocational School of Agriculture in Sušice. Dance and movement education as part of the curiculum

The bachelor thesis deals with the question of the inclusion of dance and movement education in the curriculum, especially in primary schools. It presents the basic concepts related to this topic. It also discusses the development of the child physically and mentally in relation to physical movement. The chapter about dance and movement education briefly outlines the origins of teaching in our country, presents its current form in curriculum documents, its content, basic positions, exercises and steps, the necessary equipment for its implementation and examples of teaching abroad. Furthermore, it deals with teaching staff, their personality and education, describes the current state of education of dance teachers. It also mentions the initiatives of many entities that are trying to expand dance and movement education in schools. The empirical part is based on data collected through questionnaires, which is supplemented by observations and interviews. The questionnaire and interviews are interested in how the public and the selected sample of respondents view dance and movement education. They find out the respondents experience with it and their views on this complementary discipline.
Vojta Beneš 1878-1951

The final thesis focuses on the Czech politician, teacher, writer and publicist Vojta Beneš, the brother of the second Czechoslovak president Edvard Beneš. The 73 years of his life belonged to the epoch that brought two world wars and the fundamental changes in the history of our country. We can find two major efforts in Vojta Beneš's life. Dedicated work for his homeland and help the Czechoslovak child. Beneš was an ardent nationalist in the best sense and subordinated all his life to the thought of independent, humanist and democratic state. He helped in its formation in 1918 as an active leader of the anti-Austrian resistance among our countrymen in America, fought to defend our country in 1938 and later in 1948, when his mother country was threatened by two totalitarian regimes. The second theme of Vojta Beneš's life, that this thesis deals with, is a quality education and social support of the Czechoslovak children, that he performed in his original profession, later in the service of high educational institutions in our country and also in the organizations, that provided social care to the people in need.

This bachelor thesis researches general problems concerning the development of pupil's attention. It searches for it's coherence in the context of modern society. It explains the basic terms of attention and other that are associated with this topic. It deals with conditions that affect the attention. This thesis focuses on Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and it's influence on pupil's behaviour and their learning results at school. This work offers appropriate teaching methods that help resolve the difficulties connected with teaching and learning. It offers useful activities and games to improve pupil's attention abilities. Competences and their development in the new scout educational program

The thesis deals with the development of key competences through Scout training. It focuses on the transformation of educational program in the Junák - Association of Scouts and Guides of the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The first part describes the history, the mission and ideals of Scouting. It deals with the development of Scouting in Czechoslovakia (or the Czech Republic) after 1990 and also explains how Junák is perceived by the public. It was found out by studies that were done in 2003. This thesis compares the historical and current educative documents that are used to support the development of children and young people's personalities. The thesis describes the initial impulses that led to the program's modification. Also the system of competences, which is essential for the new program, is developed in the thesis. The practical part contains instructions and suggestions for effective development of skills and deals with the further education for scout leaders. The work is accompanied by attachments that contain examples of previous and modern materials and a table summarizing the development of competences.
Analysis of typologic specifics of adaptation courses

The dissertation focuses on adaptation courses. They represent specific access to personal development of pupils and students. In the phase of pre-research the field of concepts was narrowed, the working typology was created and the criteria of dividing were defined. In the theoretical part connections between the European vision of education and Czech curriculumforming documents were found and analyzed. Mentioned facts stand for the theoretical base of this diploma, together with elaboration about the personal and social education, adaptation courses and the concept of group dynamics. In the pre-research discovered variables, didactic categories, were elaborated deeply in the final chapter of the theoretical part. Then they were used in the practical, empirical part where they served for formation of the verifying instrument. This instrument will help to verify the working typology of the adaptation courses.
The development of financial literacy of the youth leaving children's home

This thesis is focused on education of financial literacy of children living in children's homes. It is based on current state of education politics in the fields of financial literacy, the contents of educational programmes and qualitative research of real current state of education of financial literacy in children's homes. The research itself will be made via structured interviews with children from children's homes. The research is focused on discovering the level of financial literacy of older children (15 - 18 years old) permanently living in children's homes, searching for possibilities of improvement of education of financial literacy in children's homes and therefore increasing prevention of social exclusion of young people leaving children's homes due to over-owing which is usually caused by low level of financial literacy. The Animation of Culture in Education

Diplomová práce Animace kultury ve výchově a vzdělávání/ The Animation of Culture in Education Vypracovala: Kristýna Cihlářová 2011, KPED FFUK Abstract Nowadays, various cultural institutions realize their strategies of opening cultural services and the arts to the public. These strategies include the conception of educational programmes, particularly animation programmes for schools. The diploma thesis gives a definition of the animation of culture, its position and function in education. It focuses on a concrete type of an educational programme; an animation programme for the 1st and 2nd grade of basic school held in various types of cultural institutions. The thesis analyses the creation and realization of the animation programme from two perspectives; a theoretical and a practical one; by means of interviews with contemporary authors of animation programmes as well as by means of observation of the programmes. The two perspectives represent the confrontation of the ideal and real state of the issue. The conclusion offers practical recommendations in response to the articulated problems during the creation and realization of the programme. Additional project "Draft" for entrance of child to school

The thesis named "The benefits of the project "Draft" for children entering primary schools" is of theoretical/empirical nature. The theoretical part analyzes mutual cooperation and communication between the family and school. It deals with the development of the relationship between the two parties and the possibilities of its improvement. This part also presents the project "Draft", which prepares children and their parents for compulsory school attendance and represents one of the possibilities of developing positive relationships between the family and school. The practical part features the research problem and research questions, the characteristics of the research field, data collection as well as their analysis and interpretation. The empirical research reveals how the mutual cooperation and communication are assessed by the parents and teachers who have taken part in the project "Draft". The research also studies the effect of the project on the quality of children's preparation for their classes.
Media picture of the teacher in the Czech cinematography in the period after the year 2000

The thesis "Media Picture of a Teacher in the Czech Film in the Period Since 2000" is construed as one of a theoretical-empirical nature. Its theoretical part has set out two objectives. First, a process, through which media takes part in construing the reality and building up a discourse on the present teacher, is being described in such part. Another objective rests in a brief depiction of the current state of a teacher profession, and a description of the academic discourse, which is being presented by a pedagogical science with respect to a figure of the teacher. In addition, selected Czech films creating a media picture of the teacher that are subject to a critical discourse analysis in the empirically based part of the thesis are presented in the theoretical part thereof. Individual types of discourse, which these films propose with respect to a teacher, are being commented on at the conclusion of such thesis.
