Negative impacts of the Internet on human society and communication
Pershina, Mariya ; Froehling, Kenneth (oponent) ; Sedláček, Pavel (vedoucí práce)
At present, it is possible to speak of the Internet as one of the most significant inventions of humanity. The Internet is not only a worldwide system of integrated computer networks where a huge amount of various information is stored. It is a whole virtual world. The Internet is used almost in all spheres of human activities – home (Smart Home usage), communication, education, transportation system, etc. With the emergence of the Internet human life became easier. Carrying a huge amount of advantages, this invention, however, also possesses certain disadvantages that affect human life. The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to examine the main negative impacts of the Internet on human society and communication. This thesis discusses the Internet phenomena that affect society in the most negative way. Also, the thesis analyses the Internet as a communication channel. It deals with the influence of the Internet on the language system, and with the impact of impunity on communication. The information was gathered by studying literature and conducting the research in the fields connected with the topic of this thesis.
Cybercrime: Concept, Detection and Prevention
Tureček, David ; Froehling, Kenneth (oponent) ; Ellederová, Eva (vedoucí práce)
This bachelor thesis deals with the concept of cybercrime. It begins with a description of the historical development of cybercrime and computer technology relating thereto. Then it continues with giving reasons for cybercrime and describes cybercrime from a more practical point of view while analysing various cyber threats and attackers, including illustrative examples. The theoretical part concludes with a chapter concerning the prevention and detection of cyber threats. The purpose of the practical part is to demonstrate the impact of a simple Denial of Service attack.
Negative impact of Smart Cities on human society
Sakharova, Daryna ; Froehling, Kenneth (oponent) ; Sedláček, Pavel (vedoucí práce)
The concept of Smart cities is predicted to be a future model of human dwelling. The main task of this work is to determine the role of Smart City’s key components in order to estimate whether a smart technology always brings comfort and encompasses the area where people feel safe. In my bachelor thesis, I am going to present the concept of Smart City, by analysing and considering different definitions. In addition, it was important to include the chapter dedicated to the history of the term in order to trace its appearance and understand the reasons for the concept invention. Later in the thesis, I add key components and factors that influence the scientific perception of this term, in order to understand the concept Smart Cities and the way of its negative influence. The description of the main disadvantages of the Smart City realisation is presented in last two chapters of my work, where I provide the detailed description of the existing problems, representative examples, and reasons for their occurrence.
Renewable energy sources from oceans
Krišková, Mahulena ; Froehling, Kenneth (oponent) ; Sedláček, Pavel (vedoucí práce)
Renewable resources are nowadays a serious topic in terms of ecology and energy savings. Renewable resources, wave technologies, wave converters, tidal technologies, tidal power plantsThe dominant producers of clean energy are hydro, wind and solar power plants, however, this paper deals with a less covered type and that is the ocean energy. The efficient harness of energy using ocean power can be distinguished into a wave and tidal technologies. However, this paper covers the background of renewable resources and their worldwide production of electricity, as well as the function of wave and tidal power plants. The result is a summarization of information about wave and tidal converters in order to increase the awareness of this form of utilization of ocean energy.
