Unemployment in the Czech Republic and EU: methodology, trends and structure

Unemployment in the Czech Republic and EU: methodology, trends and structure Abstract Unemployment is one of the most debated issues of our time. The aim of the thesis is to analyze and describe the development of unemployment in the Czech Republic by demographic attributes and then make a comparison with selected countries of the European Union. The work is divided into theoretical and analytical part. The theoretical part describes the methodology and unemployment. The analytical part deals with the development of unemployment in the Czech Republic from various demographic characteristics using data from the Czech Statistical Office and the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. In the second part of the analysis compares the evolution of unemployment in the Czech Republic and in selected European Union countries using data from the European Statistical Office. Progress in trends of foreign pre-primary and primary schools

This dissertation deals with new approaches of alternative schooling in foreign countries which recently became very popular. These three schools and approaches chosen for this dissertation are not known in Czech Republic yet. The dissertation presents these alternative schools and proposes alternative brushing up of the ideas to the maintain schools. The first school and the first approach of alternative is democratic school or also free school. The oldest democratic school is Summerhill in the east of England. The second interesting approach and school is Te Whāriki from New Zealand. The framework deals with education through socio-cultural context. The last representative of schooling which dissertation deals with will be Reggio Emillia, which is from Italy and based on ideas of Loris Malaguzzi. The dissertation applies to main philosophies of these three alternatives, which appears abroad and mainly in Great Britain. This piece of work evaluates similarities and differences of these alternative schools. According to from which country the concrete school comes from and circumstances influencing the origin. Goals: The aim of the diploma thesis is to critically analyse the golf surrounding in the Czech republic and generally in the world. Further goal of this thesis is to analyse the work of a specific czech golf club the Golf Resort Karlštejn, especially is going to be aimed at it`s marketing. The conclusions are going to be mainly made out of the secondary dates. The acquired information will be consequently used for outlinig of recommendations for the golf area generally and formerly mentioned golf resort. Communication activities of luxurious brand Prada and Gucci in 2013: comparative studies

The purpose of this diploma thesis is to penetrate the surface of communication activities and strategies of luxurious brands, including description of the brands and analysis of their contents. It aims to determine the way of communication of luxurious fashion houses. The exemplars for the attempt mentioned above will be the advertising campaigns and communication activities of the two world well-known Italian fashion brands Prada and Gucci. The first part establishes the theoretical base of the general marketing and communications and marketing strategies of luxury brands. The sources of the study are the Czech and international publications related to this topic. The opening session also includes basic information and historical development of both fashion houses, which will help to understand the context of events leading to complex understanding of the communication strategy. The second part contains the comparative analysis of the chosen campaigns of both fashion houses and the final conclusion.
International conglomerates of luxury goods and their specifics

The main theme of this thesis identifies the specifics of international luxury good conglomerates and their functioning. The aim of this work is to clearly map and describe the conglomerates' functioning, their brand's position, and the positive and the negative effects of their presence. The content of the thesis includes the definition of luxury and luxury goods, and also a brief overview of the worldwide trends and consumer preferences in the luxury segment. The following part contains an analysis of strategic brand management and its influence on the brands, and an analysis of the internal communication activities within the three biggest luxury groups: LVMH, Kering and Richemont. The next part concerns the Czech Republic and the local perception of luxury. The final part is dedicated to the articulation of trends in the luxury market, specifics of groups and its working, and finally, the results of their external communication and existence in the Czech Republic.
HAS THE CLIMATE CHANGE IN CENTRAL EUROPE BEEN ACCELERATING OR DECELERATING?

6 Abstract The thesis deals with detailed analysis of the climate change rate throughout the European continent with an emphasis on Central Europe in the period 1951-2005. The main aim was to find out whether the rate of climate change is getting lower or higher during the monitored period and identify when the changes in the rate occurred. Changes of three climatic elements - minimum air temperature, maximum air temperature, and precipitation, were described for climatic seasons of the year. Other climatic elements were also available, however, amount of data is insufficient for such a detailed trend analysis for the entire second half of the 20th century. First part of the thesis summarizes current knowledge of changes in climate change rate, which is so far rather scarce. Most scientific articles are limited to detecting warming or cooling, decrease or increase in precipitation during a certain period. They, however, do not research when these changes of climatic elements occurred. For my analysis, which tries to offer a detailed insight into changes in European climate, daily records from European Climate Assessment and Dataset (ECA&D) database of 122 stations (spaced as evenly as possible) were used. Culinary trend and Czech magazines dedicated to gastronomy in the years 2004-2012

Diploma thesis Fenomén labužnictví a časopisy věnující se gastronomii na území České republiky v letech 2004-2012 is devoted to the questions of publishing gastronomical magazines in Czech republic in the years 2004-2012 and describes the culinary trend which is frequent issue of the Czech media discourse in the year 2012. The first parts of the thesis deal with the sociological perspectives on food, its role within society is explained as well as its ability to produce the meanings and symbols and to express social differentition. The attitude of Czech population towards food and lifestyle is characterized. The following chapter focuses on the culinary trend in various kinds of masmedia content, it reveals the context of the trend, its impact and the way it is represented in Czech republic. The last two chapters of the thesis deal with the gastronomical magazines, which are divided into two main categories according to their content. The current situation on the Czech market with magazines is explained. The final chapter focuses on selected gastronomical magazines F.O.O.D. Apetit and Gurmet which are analyzed from the point of their sections arrangment, graphic design, advertisement and language. Short semiotic analysis of selected articles is presented.

Marriage duration specific fertility trends Abstract The aim of this Master thesis is to describe the development of the marital fertility in the Czech Republic with focus on the analysis of the period between the marriage and the birth of child of a given order in the current marriage. It shows trends in the marital fertility in the time period between 1974 and 2011from transverse and longitudinal view. Using selected indicators the thesis describes different development of the marital fertility in the given period, which is closely connected with the distinct social and demographic situation in the Czech Republic prior and after the year 1989. In the whole monitored period the number of marriages is decreasing significantly. There was a significant increase both in a number and ratio of the children born alive outside of marriage, and on the opposite, decrease in the number and ratio of children born alive within the marriage. Within the framework of the current marriages substantial changes of the reproductive behavior occurred with an obvious breaking point in 1989. Since that time significant decrease in number of children, both in total and in the number of children of a given order has started. Model of Development of the Czech Agriculture

The main goal this master thesis is the identification of key factors influencing the performance and production of Czech agriculture. The work contains into three parts. First part summarizes theoretically background concepts for construction models with looking historical contexts. The second part builds a data base for another work. The third part of the thesis is computational, formulates specific numerical models of possible answer. This part contains a discussion of the results and definitions of possible limits.
