Kůrka, Pavel ; Rejchrtová, Noemi (advisor) ; Zilynská, Blanka (referee) ; David, Zdeňek V. (referee)
This thesis analyzes self governing elements in administration of the Utraquist parishes. It is based on of medieval legal order and shows, how it was changed under the influence of Hussite and later reformational ecclesiology and by secular developments in the 16th Century. Besides the election of the parish priest it focuses mainly on lay administration of parish property, it deals with position and authority of chantry officials. Regarding the state of sources, the focus is on the situation in Bohemian Royal towns around 1600. The thesis concludes that the most important factor for penetration of the lay element into the administration was the secular law usage, not the confessional evolution. HAVEL, David
The issue associated with the migration of foreigners, with the positive and negative aspects that inevitably bring, is a phenomenon that can not be left unnoticed by the authorities, regardless of whether they are migrants residing at the territory of the Czech Republic legally or illegally. Especially nowadays, when most countries are in the global economic crisis, it is the issue that deserves proper attention (with due regard for the possible impacts on the internal security of the Czech Republic, the economy, the social sphere and the citizens´ behaviour). The Czech Republic is aware of the risks associated with the high flow of immigrants. As a proof of that is, that this area has been evaluated as one of the possible non-military threats (or crisis situations) and as such it was defined in the crisis planning as a part of the Plan called {\clq},The Migration Wave of a Large Extent`` drawn by the National Security Council. This work on the topic of The Influence of Both Legal and Illegal Migration on the Internal Security of the Czech Republic and the Crisis Management contains an interpretation of the basic concepts and the development trends in the field of migration in the theoretical part and it also defines the authorities resposinble for solving of the individual issues related to the migration of foreigners. The practical part contains a situational analysis of the presence of foreigners in the South-Bohemian Region compared with the Czech Republic and also the rate of criminal activities committed by foreigners also compared with the Czech Republic as a whole. The research was conducted between the years of 2003 and 2009.

Cereal in the medieval culture of the Czech lands
Freiová, Kristýna ; Czumalo, Vladimír (advisor) ; Hubáček, Ondřej (referee)
Agriculture makes its first appearance in human history about 12 000 - 5 000 years ago. Around that time, people took to a sedentary way of life so they could primarily till the land and grow the grains which they had come to know in their wild varieties. This new way of life gradually changed the social and cultural order. A return to primeval living was not impossible, though. Before the Slavs arrived on the territory of what is today Moravia and Bohemia, various Indo-European tribes had already pursued agriculture in our part of the world, chief among them the Celts and the Germans. The Slavs, which came from the eastern part of Europe, probably in the second half of the 6th century, built upon the farming of these erstwhile peoples. After the rise and fall of proto-states, for which evidence has survived only in the case of Great Moravia, an early Bohemian state took hold. In the local culture, grain played an indispensable role. Farming was the main livelihood of the entire populace. Crops of choice at the time were millet, einkorn, and emmer wheat, which gradually gave way to common wheat and barley. The land was tilled with wooden hoes which merely cut furrows in the soil. The grain, which was harvested using sickles, was stored in pits in the ground. To improve digestibility of the grain...

This work deals with one of the most important central European print designers of the latter half of the 17th century, the painter and draftsman Martin Anton Lublinský (1636- 1690). A native Silesian, who settled in Olomouc, where in 1664 he entered a cloister of the Augustinian canons, and then devoted the rest of his life to the creation of art. Lublinský has been at the forefront of Bohemian art history research in the last decade. This was due to several reasons. One of them is Lublinsky's scattered and in some ways founding role in the baroque painting and drawing of 17th century Moravia. Another is an increasing number of Lublinsky's known art realizations.
