Integrated teaching has found its place at the Czech schools particularly during the last years. By using of this method we can reach for increasing of students' knowledge and especially it can help to understand the relations between subjects and better connect one information with another one. The integration of subjects leads to the development of key's competences of pupils. In my thesis I'm dealing with possibilities of integration of geography and art which haven't been comprehensive processed yet. The interconnection of subjects is possible in terms of contents or as an alternative to didactics games or as a mean to the development of knowledge and skills of the pupil. This way of integrated learning has also a motivating effect and helps to improve a lot of key's competences. In my thesis I'm analysing the curriculum documents and searching for common themes for geography and art but I'm also dealing with the suggestions of concrete activities and their application into practice. The part of my thesis is a presentation of a model lesson and the evaluation of benefits and effectiveness of the studied teaching method through a didactics test.

Herman, Zdeněk ; Šiška, Jan (advisor) ; Květoňová, Lea (referee)
PEDAGOGICKÁ FAKULTA UNIVERZITY KARLOVY Abstract Education and preparation for the profession of people with mental disabilities in Teplice region 21.4.2011 Zdeněk Herman Abstrakt Despite all the problems in the Ranks of the cultural environment and the composition of the people after the unemployment I was led to believe it is not always the main factor in recruitment. Or maybe education is not the main determinant, though primarily affiliated, but the nature of personality, diligence and hard work are determinants, which are the quintessence of the employer's requirements. Sometimes such values in the family of people with mental disabilities are more problematic to implement, then the values would lead the school. The success of the equipment of the positive values depends on the quality of the school and its leadership. I knew that in Teplice there are that at least two schools are for high quality and fully prepare people with mental disabilities in practical life. However several shortcomings need to be improved. the largest work can be motivation of pupils with mental disabilities to individual decision-making, working and not being comfortable, aware of the need to work and not wanting to stay at home when they have rent. Motivation is the key factor for improving the quality of life of people.

Reuven Feuerstein's instrumental enrichment program as the option of learner's learning competency development
Švárová, Kateřina ; Krykorková, Hana (advisor) ; Koťa, Jaroslav (referee)
This thesis presents the question of development options in the process of school leaming. This question is solved in the context of changes that are related to the transformation of school curriculum. The most important aspect of those changes is the conception of the school leaming as a pupiľ s cognitive as well as personal and social development. The process of education starts to insist on pupils' s intellectual activities as well as on achievement of practical knowledge and skills. The school programs distance from memory leaming and emphasize using those ways of instruction where pupils become active participants of instruction. Oficial school documents express these thoughts as a concept of leaming competency. However, concrete methods to form leaming competency are not available in these documents. Thaťs why this thesis tries to present one option how to stimulate pupils and how to develop their skills and abilities that are considered to be crucial.

Peštová, Ilona ; Rajsiglová, Ina (advisor) ; Fraiberk, Martin (referee)
Infectious diseases are a very hot topic nowadays in society. In recent years, there were several epidemics, infectious diseases (hepatitis A, Avian influenza, pandemic influenza A) and nobody knows when will the next "new" infection. At the outbreak of epidemics, there is great interest in the company to obtain information about the disease, but often also to unnecessary panic, because the media often publish incorrect information. It would be preferable, in order to improve public awareness and prevent the unnecessary spread of disease. Great emphasis should be given to prevent the disease - primarily on immunization, hygiene rules and principles of safe sex. Quality information should be mainly from teachers in teaching their pupils, as is clear from research books, infectious diseases are only mentioned in textbooks and the number of substantive information in them is missing. The fact that pupils of primary schools and grammar schools with basic information on infectious diseases do not meet in the classroom, evidenced by the results of a survey carried out in the 6th classes and first year at selected elementary schools and grammar schools in Prague. To raise awareness of the pupils in school was to create a methodical manual for teachers, which summarizes information about bacterial and...

This paper titled: "Usage of local green environment in teaching nature science for 1st-4th grade at elementary schools" focuses on the local environment and its surroundings. It deals with the practical use of local regional knowledge when teaching nature science at elementary school (1st-4th grade). In the theoretical part, I look at green vegetation division and the role of nature science as a subject at elementary school. In the research part, I analyse whether there are enough ways for recognising timber species, and evaluate children's awareness of timber species. In the practical part, I highlight how I intergrate theoretical findings in teaching with practical applications in the classroom and expand on this further through the use of walks as work methods in nature science. This pedagogical approach develops students' relationship with their village and its close and distant surroundings.
