Diese Diplomarbeit beschäftigt sich mit dem zeitgenössichen Trend des Körperkultes und mit dem Mythus der Schönheit, mit seinen biologischen und kulturell historischen Wurzeln. Ich versuche aufzuklären, warum die Schönheit in der heutigen Gesellschaft so geschlechtsbedingt ist. Und warum gerade die Frau mit dem schönen Geschlecht identifiziert wird. Weiter studiere ich gesellschaftliche Mechanismen, die eine Jagd nach dem perfekten Körper legitimieren. Ich beschreibe auch ihre Folgen auf der individuellen und gesellschaftlichen Ebene.

Abundance trends and range dynamics in European bats.

Bachelor thesis sumarizes available data about bat abundance in middle Europe, especially in the Czech republic. Populations of bats are usually dynamic, which is given by their high sensitivity to environmental changes. Many of these changes are man made, for instance landscape management, agricultural intensification or disturbing bats during hibernation. Impact of global warming on bat abundance and range distribution is also discussed, because it could explain the occurance of mediterranean species Hypsugo savii in Moravia In my thesis, I focus on possible causes of strong population decrease of Rhinolophus hipposideros in 70's in the middle Europe, which led to establishement of monitoring programms accross Europe. Project "Monitoring bats in underground hibernacula" has started in Czechoslovakia in 1969, and it has provided valuable and relevant data. I also compare methods for monitoring bats, because there isn't any effective universal method for censusing all species under all circumstances, due to their specific behavioral habits. Counting bats in underground hibernacula appears to be the most efficient, especially for species such as Rhinolophus hipposideros, Myotis myotis and Plecotus spp. Statistic methods are used to estimate colony size, Lincoln-Peterson method seems to be the most suitable...

The Transition from the Working Process to the Retirement

This work deals with the changes that take place in people already have retired. It addresses in particular the impact on their life in the last stage of life. Subsequently, a managing retirement as it is when people feel, describes the changes that take place in humans. Then mentions about retirement, pension types. Describes how it can be prepaired, adaptation. It talks about the roles that one has prior to retirement and beyond. Describes the reaction of older people themselves, their perception of this stage and at the same time, how they react to their surroundings. All information has been collected from respondents who have passed retirement. The structured interview was made with them and the obtained informations were subsequently processed.

Changes of regional and settlement pattern of Serbia after 1991 in the context of the split of Yugoslavia Abstract This thesis presents changes of regional and settlement pattern of Serbia with a special emphasis on migration after war events evoked by splitting of former Yugoslavia in the 90's. It researches age structure of refugees and internally displaced persons and mainly their influence on demographic growth of Serbia and analyses their dependence of their location on chosen geographical and economical indicators. It will also show the situation of refugees in the new millennium considering their repatriation or naturalization. The last part finds out, if there is a noticeable amount of refugee population living in temporary conditions and how works the cooperation between the state and organizations, which are supposed to reduce number of refugees and internally displaced persons. Russian geopolitics - constants and changes after the split of the USSR

As the diploma's thesis it was chosen the theoretical analysis of the geopolitical position of Russia. The primary objective of this study is the evaluation of current geopolitics of the Russian Federation after the collapse of Soviet Union and outlines its future development. This work tries to answer a few basic questions. What is the current geopolitical situation in Russia, in what direction it develops, and whether we can declare a major shift to any direction. The work is divided into several main parts. Introduction is followed by a theoretical grasp of key concepts and the main actors involved in geopolitics. The other two parts contain an analysis of the relationship of Russia to key actors such as the US and NATO, the EU, China, the near neighborhood in Central Asia and the Transcaucasia and geopolitics of oil and natural gas. The last is practical part, in which the information from the previous sections are applied to specific examples in Russian foreign policy. Holešovice, landscape changes in 19th and 20th Century

This bachelor's thesis, entitled Holešovice, landscape changes in 19th and 20th Century deals with the development of city district Holešovice in Prague. The main period of research was narrowed down to period from 1820s to the end of 1970s because of the accessibility of sources. This bachelor's thesis is divided into ten main chapters which describe urban and housing development of this city district. Chapter one contains information about all sources and literature that was used here and second chapter is about methods of processing. Chapter three describes basic information about Holešovice and their administrative development. Chapter four is about historic development of this district from its beginning to 1820s, which is the turning point. Next chapters deal with progressive changes of the district from 1823, when the first factory in Holešovice was built and because of it Holešovice started to change from agricultural village into industrial district. Chapters five to ten represent particular periods of development defined according to important events or construction of important buildings and other compounds. Changes in the presentation of teachers in Czech newspapers

Thesis "Changes in the presentation of teachers in Czech newspapers" explores how teachers have been presented on the pages of Czech newspapers in several phases of Czech history since the "First Czechoslovak Republic". For the purposes of the analysis twelve years and three dates in each year have been chosen. Thesis includes the comparison of the media texts from different years. The narrative analysis has been selected as a method for analysing several prominent Czech newspapers: Národní politika, Národní listy, Rudé Právo, Lidová demokracie, Mf Dnes and Právo. Thesis is divided into three main sections: the first section provides definitions of terms related to the media representation, the second one describes the methods which have been used and the third one is the most important part which contains the analysis. There are changes but also similarities in the media presentation of teachers in the Czech history. The changes occurred mainly in the transitions between these four periods: the First Czechoslovak Republic, Second World War, the period of socialism and the period after 1989.

Runoff Changes in the Šumava/Bohemian Forest Region

RUNOFF CHANGES IN THE ŠUMAVA / BOHEMIAN FOREST REGION Abstract: The goal of this thesis is to the evaluation of possible causes of changes in runoff regime in the Šumava region from time and spacial point of view. The thesis includes research and applied part. The research part is dedicated to methods of evaluation of runoff changes and their possible causes in teh Šumava region such as anthropogenic factors (changes in the river network, dams, drainage, land - use changes), natural factors (climate changes, peatbogs influence) and disturbances (wind calamities and bark beetle outbreaks, floods). In the applied part there is an analysis of precipitaion - runoff regime for long-term time series of average annual, monthly and minimal daily discharges and monthly precipitations for selected gauging stations in upper Otava, Ostružná, Volyňka, upper Blanice and Teplá Vltava basins using simple and double mass curves and Mann - Kendall test. In conclusion the achieved results were evaluated, discussed and compared with subject publications. Tool to trace websites contents changes

The purpose of this thesis is to design and implement a tool to trace websites contents changes. The output is to be a web page modified to reflect the changed areas. The application must allow the user to set relevant parts of a web page and therefore define areas, which are to be ignored. The text of the thesis describes how to install and use the tool, the structure of the source code, the issues which had to be solved during the development, some possibilities of further improvement of the application and its comparison to other tools available. 1
