Havránek, Pavel Jaroslav ; Ottová, Michaela (advisor) ; Macek, Petr (referee)
(EN) The Bachelor Thesis will map the fond of the Late Gothic Era made up of the works connected to the Martinitz's residential city of Smečno. The fond includes: the castle chaple of St. Anne and its furniture, the Ledce Altarpiece, the Smečno Madonna etc. The aim is to base the core of the thesis on archival research and the stylistic analysis of the artworks. Space will be further given to a survey of the artworks' further fates before and after the year 1918, in which the influence of the Martinitz family, or, since 1792, the Clam-Martinitz family, was interrupted in Bohemia and therefore also at Smečno. Due to historical events some of the artworks from Smečno found their way to other places and institutions, like the National Museum or the National Galery in Prague, by which their coonnection to Smečno was often severed. I will try to connect the artworks with specific locations at Smečno, the Church of the Holy Trinity and the castle chapel of St. Anne, and with the commissioning activities of the Martinitz family. Keywords: Smečno, Late Gothic era, Sculpture, Wood carving, the Martinitz, the Clam- Martinitz, Master of Doksany Altarpiece.

The main source is mainly the three-volume biography of Josemaría Escríva by the Spanish historian Vazquez de Prado. It also describes the legal development and organizational structure of Opus Dei. In the second part of the thesis, the historical context is explained, specifically the situation of the Catholic Church between 1945 and 1989. The somewhat specific background of the situation of the Church in Czechoslovakia before the arrival of Opus Dei is outlined. Alluvial gold placers from Klínec area - morphology and nature of gold
Fox, Simon ; Zachariáš, Jiří (advisor) ; Štědrá, Veronika (referee)
The search for economically viable gold deposits remains a significant pursuit requiring skilled expertise. The first part of the thesis establishes essential concepts related to gold ore deposits and placer gold, including its elemental properties, genesis in an orogenic environment, transportation by natural forces, and deposition in a fluvial setting. The study particularly focuses on the Klínec area in Central Bohemia and offers an insight into the geological region characterized by a Neoproterozoic basement uplifted during the late Miocene due to tectonic movements that played an integral role in the placer gold deposition. The historical context of gold mining in this Bohemian region is also presented. The practical segment of this thesis aims to establish connections between statistical and observational methods and the relationship between placer gold and its orogenic gold deposit. The methodology involves fieldwork for collecting gold particles which were then subjected to optical observation and microscopic photography. Morphological features, particularly sphericity and roundness, are analysed to identify trends indicating proximity to the primary gold source. The findings reveal that gold particles closer to the primary source exhibit sharper angularity, larger grain size, and greater...
