The effect of atorvastatine on expression of selected markers of vascular endothel

Atherosclerosis, or sclerosis of arteries, is a degenerative disease of arteries. Sometimes it is called "the disease of 20th century". ApoE/LDL - receptor double knockout mice represent a new animal model for study of atherogenesis, which is characterized by severe hyperlipidaemia and atherosclerosis. Statins (or competitive inhibitors 3-hydroxyl-3-methyl-glutaryl-coenzym A-reductase) currently belong to the most efficient and the most useful hypolipidemic drugs for all over the world. They decrease mainly levels of total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol. The aim of this thesis was to describe the expression of eNOS in atherosclerotic plaques in apoE/LDLreceptor deficient mice. Moreover, we wanted to atorvastatin effects on its expression in the vessel wall. ApoE/LDLR-deficient mice on were subdivided into two groups. The control group of animals was fed with the cholesterol rich diet. The same cholesterol rich diet was used in ATV group, where atorvastatin was added to the atherogenic diet at the dosage of 50 mg/kg per day. The results of this thesis confirmed the expression eNOS in aortic endothelium in both control and atorvastatin treated mice. - 58 - Resumé: The purpose of my master's degree thesis is to analyse cross - border transfer of registered office of company. The reason for my research is developing European Community law and decision of European Court of Justice. The thesis is composed of four chapters, each of them dealing with different aspects of the cross - border transfer of registered office of company. Chapter One introduces the term office and its definition in Czech law system. Chapter Two examines relevant European and Czech legislation that regulate direct cross - border transfer of registered office of company. The chapter consists of two parts. Part One focuses on cross - border transfer of registered office of supranational legal form. Part One contains three sections. Each section investigates one type of supranational legal form. Part Two concerns cross - border transfer of registered office of national company. The part Two is divided into two sections. 86 Resumé Alternatives to unconditional imprisonment The name of my diploma thesis is The Alternatives to Unconditional Imprisonment. I chose this topic because it is the actual theme, the crime rate raises and alternative punishments represent new options how to deal with increasing criminality and matters related to it. Czech Republic and other countries are forced to deal with problems related to increasing amount of imprisoned persons. Unconditional sentence is accompanied with many negative consequences, such as interruption of social bonds, adaption to prison culture and difficult comeback into society after the imprisonment. This is very wide topic and I more concentrated on community service order, monetary fines and suspended sentence (including suspended sentence with supervision). The aim of my diploma thesis was summarize current legal regulation, mainly a new Criminal Code, and some problems in practice. The thesis is composed of eleven chapters; some of them are divided into subchapters. Alternatives to unconditional term of imprisonment

The name of my thesis is Alternatives of unconditional sentence of imprisonment. For this is a very wide topic, I concentrated on community service sentence, monetary fines, activity prohibition punishment and conditional postponement of the performance of a sentence of imprisonment. Further, I dealt with some new sentences of home confinement and ban on activities such as attending sport, social or cultural events, as well as diversion from standard criminal proceeding. The thesis is divided into ten chapters, some of which are divided into subchapters for better lucidity. First chapter concerns with a present situation in prison service in the Czech Republic as well as in the world. The sentence of imprisonment has besides undeniable positive also some negative sites, which can be minimized by various alternatives of this sentence. Hereafter I already deal with individual punishments. The most extensive chapter discusses community service sentence, which is a second most frequently imposed alternative punishment. Substantive law and procedural law presumptions of its imposition are analyzed, as well as postponement, suspense and refraining from this punishment and its regulation in a new Criminal Code. Memory model for a human-like agent

In this thesis we introduce a model of episodic memory for a human-like agent, who is designed according to Gibson's theory of affordances. Episodic memory represents personal history of an agent. It stores memories related to particular places and moments, their storage and retrieval depends on subjective feelings and current goals. In this thesis we discuss the believability of the agent as well as some technical issues concerning memory size and memory access time. As a part of our work, we implemented a human-like agent with hierarchical reactive planning, including some features of Belief-Desire-Intention. The agent remembers only important things, i.e. things which passed through the attention filter. Thanks to this filter, memory size can be significantly reduced. At the end of the thesis we introduce results of some tests, which were performed in our prototype implementation.

Image analysis of a selected travel agency

The corporate image represents an important success factor for every company, rather that there is a strong competition as in the case of the Czech market of travel agencies. The paper shows results of several surveys, objective of which was to explore particular factors that influence image of a selected travel agency.

Tasks of school methodology prevention

Téma sociálně patologických jevů a jejich prevence je v naší společnosti velmi aktuální. Hledají se účinné strategie vedoucí k předcházení výskytu sociálně patologických jevů. Škola je místem, zejména primární a sekundární prevence. Pokud chceme, aby tato prevence byla efektivní, musí být propracovaná a podílet by se na ní měly osoby, které mají určitý vhled do problému. Negativně je třeba vnímat malou vzdělanost metodiků prevence. Další vzdělávání pedagogických pracovníků a podpora jejich kariérního růstu je v kompetenci ředitelů škol, kteří mohou přidělené finanční prostředky směřovat žádoucím směrem. Tím prevence sociálně patologických jevů bezesporu je. Z výsledků dotazníků vyplývá, že metodici prevence se preventivní činnosti věnují průměrně 3,20 hodin.Za tuto svoji činnost jsou hodnoceni nejčastěji osobním ohodnocením. Obě funkce metodika prevence je často spojována s funkcí výchovného poradce. Funkce jsou častěji odděleny na školách poskytující vzdělání osobám se specifickými vzdělávacími potřebami. Sonda ukázala malou vzdělanost metodiků prevence. Vzhledem k tomu, že nejčastěji řešeným sociálně patologickým jevem - jevem, který řešila každá škola, je tabakismus, bylo by vhodné zařadit tuto problematiku do školních vzdělávacích plánů napříč spektrem vyučovacích předmětů. The impacts of legislative changes on revenues of small munucipalities

The bachelor thesis is concerned with legislative changes in the field of fiscal revenues of municipalities that have been introduced since the 1 january 2008. The changes touch shared tax revenues and real estate taxes. The goal of the thesis is to analyse these changes and to evaluate their impacts on the revenues of three chosen municipalities. In the first theoretical part the legislative changes are described, in the next part the analysis of impacts of these changes to concrete municipalities followes. The last chapter is synthesis, it summarises the most important knowledge and there is also evaluation of personal interviews with representatives of particular municipalities. The trend of recent years is the effort to increase revenues and in this way to increase independence of the smallest municipalities. It is also the the goal of accepted legislative changes. My analysis bear out that in 2008 the tax revenue of chosen municipalities was higher than in 2007 -- in Bechyně over 33 %, in Rataje over 35 % and in Březnice over 40,5 %. By that time I was able to evaluate only impacts concerning shared tax revenues because the changes in real estate taxes will be applied first time in period of taxation of 2009.

Beginnings of the communist repression in the Havlíčkův Brod region

Česká historiografie zmapovala v polistopadové době poměrně rozsáhle nejznámější excesy komunistického režimu. V souvislosti s procesy s dr. Miladou Horákovou, generálem Heliodorem Píkou, Rudolfem Slánským, babickým či číhošťským případem apod. vyšla celá řada odborných i popularizačních publikací a článků. O mnohých případech byly natočeny dokumentární filmy. Budeme-li však hledat literaturu k případům méně exponovaným s úzkým regionálním významem, zjistíme, že se jedná o oblast publikačně téměř nedotčenou. Přitom tyto procesy měly pro počáteční fázi budování komunistického režimu zásadní význam. Jejich prostřednictvím komunistický režim v jednotlivých regionech vyvolal atmosféru všeobecného strachu a tím víceméně úspěšně paralyzoval jakoukoli aktivní snahu o zvrat poměrů. Nedostatek většího množství literatury k dané problematice má celou řadu důvodů. Jako první nás napadne poměrně krátká doba, která uběhla od listopadové revoluce a tudíž omezené období umožňující svobodně bádat a psát. Podíváme-li se však, kolik bylo ve stejné době vydáno knih pojednávajících například o první republice, všimneme si značného nepoměru.
