Methodology of Implementation of Complex Retail Solutions in Life Style Retail
Příklenk, Lukáš ; Novotný, Ota (advisor) ; Pour, Jan (referee)
The retail companies have a very conservative approach concerning IT expenses and innovations. Maybe for this reason, it is now the best time for changing an IT infrastructure and a complex retail solution. Most of the companies need to optimize their processes due to the financial crisis to achieve a competitive advantage. There are many differences among the retail companies - these differences may cause that an implementation of a software solution is tricky. It is important to be aware of such aspects when implementing the software solution. The main aim of this work is to design, extend and optimize a methodology of implementation of a complex retail solution. The new methodology is quite general - it might be used for an implementation of any POS solution. The goal of new methodology is to improve top line and margin. Finally, it shall bring a bigger satisfaction to the customer. I divided this work into several main chapters. First chapter is dedicated to the specifics of retail companies - how they work, which processes they use, how much they invest into the IT. The second part contains an analysis of POS solutions available on the Czech market and a brief description of the particular software solutions with their market share. The third part is dedicated to the RIM methodology designed by Microsoft Corporation. The fourth - and the main part of my work - contains an extension of the RIM methodology. In the final part I sum up the main achievements of this work and evaluate the new extended methodology. In the appendix, I compared some examples with the real figures to the new methodology.

It sets out to answer the following questions: (i) Can the central bank of Egypt (CBE) achieve the goal of price stability under the currently applied monetary targeting regime? (ii) Is the legal independence granted to the CBE under the latest legislation promulgated in 2005 factual? (iii) Does the CBE maintain an implicit target for the FX rate? Does the CBE follow an independent monetary policy? Which variables have priority in the reaction function of the CBE? How far can foreign economic shocks explain the behavior of real GDP and price level in the Egyptian economy compared with domestic economic shocks? And which monetary transmission mechanism channels play a dominant role in the Egyptian economy? The main conclusions of the study came as follows: (i) Neither the demand for money function nor the velocity of circulation of money is found stable in Egypt. Thus, the study concludes that the CBE cannot achieve price stability under the currently applied monetary targeting regime. (ii) The legal independence granted to the CBE under the latest legislation is not factual. (iii) By estimating the monetary transmission mechanisms (MTMs) using a structural VAR model the conclusions of the study were as...

In this thesis, I described the evolution of the traditional clothing from the half of the 19th century until the 21st century. It was my concern to achieve a work of not only descriptive content, which I found so frequent. I sought also for the occasions for wearing the traditional costume, on what occasion, the way the traditional costume changes when the original materials changes. I looked for the reasons why and with what functionality it is still worn by people living today. Among the historical evolution, I put emphasis also on the recent form and function of the traditional clothing.

Management tools utilization for disclosing firm's constraints
Grégr, Jiří ; Chocholatý, Drahomír (advisor) ; Volráb, Ondřej (referee)
This diploma thesis is focused on the use of management tools and practices specialized in finding organizations constraints that limit their performance and make it impossible to effectively achieve their goal. The tools can be divided into static ones that describe relationships between causes and their effects using causal relations and dynamic ones that are oriented on cyclical relations that appear in periods. Although those dynamic tools are not suitable enough for validating causal relations they can better visualize these relations in time. Both of the tools are based on the principle that the user has to change the way of thinking when looking for undesirable effects in the system. The theoretical part of the thesis is extended by Greiner growth model that describes growth phases of organizations and typical problems that appear in each phase. Thus this model can be used to help uncover causes of organizations constraints. Practical part of the thesis is focused on application of the tools and on finding the main constraint in a small software company. It is divided into a few parts: company description, proposal of requirement collection and its implementation, description of relationships between the company and external systems, proposal of an improvement of a notation that is used for diagramming current state of problems in a company, diagramming the current reality tree and finding the main constraint. The contribution of the thesis lies in depicting advantages and disadvantages of the tools used for finding company constraints and in application of one of the tools including the proposal of improvement. The conclusion includes recommendations for improvement implementation that help to eliminate main company constraint and increase the system performance.
