X-ray imaging methods in veterinary medicine
KRONUSOVÁ, Kateřina
In modern times, the X-ray examination already has a permanent position in veterinary medicine when diagnosing various diseases. It is possible to use it to obtain detailed information about the shape, size, boundary, placement and even the internal structure of different organs. In order to get the largest amount of diagnostic information possible it is necessary that the X-ray examination be properly directed and executed with technological perfection. The results, i.e. the X-ray images, must be systematically, thoroughly and objectively analyzed and correctly incorporated into the overall clinical diagnosis. That{\crq}s why each X-ray worker must have a good knowledge of both medicinal and physical chemistry. The introduction of this thesis is dedicated to the general principles of a veterinary X-ray imaging such as exposure parameters or the geometry of a picture. Of course, the necessary protection against ionising radiation is also mentioned in this section. The central part of my work is composed of a summary and description of projections used in veterinary examining labs and clinics. I have focused primarily on dog and cat projections as they are the animals most frequently examined in veterinary clinics. Besides native projections, a certain part of my work is dedicated to examinations using contrast mediums. Another part is dedicated to the X-ray examination of exotic and small animals such as reptiles and birds. Throughout the paper, I have tried to use pictures as much as possible because I consider their example to be necessary in order to correctly understand the making of the projections. Since my goal was also to find out and analyse the utilisation rate of X-ray imaging methods in veterinary offices and clinics within the territory of the capital city of Prague, in the other part of my work there is elaborated information which was obtained with the help of questionnaires from veterinary work places and also information which was given to me by the State Office for Nuclear Safety.

The evacuation plan of the health care ward block in the mode of general evacuation {--} the analysis of the principle of the evacuation plan of the inhabitants and their application to a health care ward block.
SKÁCELOVÁ, Lada
Population evacuation plan is one of the plans of specific operations, which are covered within the region's emergency plan according to Decree No. 328/2001 Coll.Evacuation belongs among the basic methods of population protection, being a summary of principles and organisation measures to ensure moving the persons, animals and material assets from the area endangered by an extraordinary event to other area. In the case of an extraordinary event endangering larger territorial unit, not only the populated agglomerations and industrial facilities may be included in the area evacuation, but also the inpatient healthcare facilities, where the situation difficulty is amplified by the patients depending on care by medical personnel and provision of healthcare services. Presently, there is no clear legal standard imposing an obligation on organisations to elaborate a complete evacuation plan. This issue is covered only partially in the sphere of legislation concerning fire protection. Nevertheless within the region's emergency plan elaborated for solution of extraordinary events requiring declaration of the third level (in the case of endangering more than 100 and less than 1,000 persons) and special level of alarm (when more than 1,000, a part of a municipality or enterprise grounds are endangered), all organisations with more than 100 persons should have the evacuation plans prepared. In the case of inpatient healthcare facilities, elaboration of evacuation plans is absolutely inevitable. The theoretical part of the dissertation describes the general principles and methods of performing the population evacuation. Attention was paid also to professional coverage, evacuation authorities and organisations and their structure according to the scope of the taken measures. In the chapter called "Application of the evacuation plan to inpatient healthcare facilities", the general principles and procedures concerning evacuation were applied to the inpatient healthcare facilities. In the practical part of the dissertation, an analysis of preparedness of the inpatient healthcare facilities for possible area evacuation to all-nation extent was made and the hitherto experience of the personnel of the inpatient healthcare facilities with any type of evacuation and their preparedness for possible complete evacuation were examined. Such examinations were made by questionnaire surveys. The collected data have been processed by statistical methods. The evaluation of results is presented in the "Results" chapter. On the basis of the acquired knowledge, a proposal of evacuation plan was drafted for the inpatient healthcare facilities. At the end of the dissertation, the procedures are suggested that may help manage perfectly the potential complete evacuation. Expected utilisation of the dissertation results was directed to definition of the optimum procedures and measures leading to successful management of evacuation of an inpatient health care facility. The dissertation conclusions may be used not only as the document for creating evacuation plans for other health care facilities, but they may contribute to considerable extent to elaboration of uniform evacuation preparation methodology within the emergency preparedness of the healthcare services.

The Stock Exchange
Schicková, Pavla ; Kotáb, Petr (advisor) ; Kohajda, Michael (referee)
1 ABSTRACT Stock Exchange The contents of the notion "stock exchange" change in time. Factors inducing these changes are intertwined and influence each other. The introduction of modern telecommunication technologies in 1980s brought about a process of change in the notion of "stock exchange". This factor mainly influenced the territorial aspect of said notion. Modern communication technologies allowed for integration of capital markets within Europe. This integration required unification of legislation in EU Member States. The crucial piece of Czech legislation implementing European norms in the area of stock exchange markets is the Act No. 256/2004 Coll. on Business on Capital Market. The greatest influence on the notion of "stock exchange" has had the transposition of the EU MiFID directive into that act in 2008. The changes introduced by this directive have led to vacating tne notion of "stock exchange" in legal terms with the term itself being replaced by "operator of the regulated market". Over the past decade the supervision and regulation on both European and national levels have undergone substantial changes. The changes and innovation in the investment instruments market have called for changes in institutional setting of supervision and regulation. These changes in supervision and regulation have...

Effects of orography on spatial distribution of heavy precipitation in the north-east of the Czech Republic
Průchová, Kateřina ; Müller, Miloslav (advisor) ; Šercl, Petr (referee)
The dissertation deals with the influence of orography on the spatial distribution of heavy precipitation in the territory of the northeast Moravia and Silesia. The area was chosen because of the specific distribution of daily precipitation for heavy rainfall events in the past and also in May 2010. Cases of heavy rainfall for the period 1961 - 1995 are balanced with morphometric characteristics in the place and in the surrounding the station, defineted in face of direction air flow. For the calculation of the direction air flow are used data from 850 hPa level from reanalysis ERA-40, topographic characteristics are calculated by ArcGIS and they are correlated with the rain gauge data from stations ČHMÚ. The results show us that only the altitude does not have effect on the spatial distribution of precipitation, but it should be think over more topographic parameters. During the north and partially during the west air flow, where the precipitation are mostly from the stratiform clouds, appears a stronger orography influence on the measurement and on the spatial distribution, if we consider the morphometric characteristics behind the station in the direction of air flow. The case of south and east air flow showed us a weaker orography effect, which can be perhaps explained by a higher part of...

It follows the most remarkable members of Markwartingian family, among them surpassing all Havel z Lemberka and his brother Jaroslav z Hrutice, the direct ancestor of the lords of Waldstein. The second part of our work deals with genealogy of the Waldsteins family and their pro- perty. It divides the family into three basic stems, the lords of Rotstein, the lords of D tenice and the lords of Waldstein. The lords of Waldstein are then divided into three consecutive stems: that of Lomnice, that of Waldstein and that of t panice. The work also describes the gradual decay of the first two stems and, on the contrary, the increase of the last of them. The third part of the work follows the political activities of chosen members of the Wald- stein family within the Hussite wars and shortly...
