Regional languages in the French educational system

Beginning section of this thesis named Regional languages in the French education system is focused on a terminology concerning regional languages. Further content is focused on the history of languages in France since the Roman campaign on Gaul territory and the latinization of this region until the democratization of regional languages towards regular French. An important role in French education system development was played by education laws that are thoroughtly discussed in text of this thesis. The current distribution of regional languages in France and teaching of these languages in French schools is described in the next part of the thesis. This part is primarily focused on the four regional languages: Basque, Breton, Catalan and Occitan. Laws that permited the education of regional languages in France and faciliated the foundation of institutions intended to support these regional languages are also covered within this section. The research of today's state of Occitan in everyday life of Nîmes residents is covered in final part of this thesis. Occitan was chosen as the representative model of regional language. Transition-related Roles and Responsibilities of Secondary Special Educators

he main aims of this research was to find out: what were the transition-related roles and responsibilities of secondary special educators while preparing youth with intellectual disabilities for employment and the specific challenges or difficulties they face while performing these transition-related roles and responsibilities. Secondary special educators were also asked to rate the effectiveness of their teacher training programme and make recommendations to improve their programme. And finally, they were asked what kind of support from the school they received to help them perform their transition-related roles and responsibilities effectively. Both qualitative and quantitative research methods were used in this study. Through this research it has been found that there exists quite a high percentage of secondary special educators (i.e. overall 59% and above) who felt that they performed 20 out of the 23 transition-related roles and responsibilities while preparing students with intellectual disabilities for employment. The findings of this research also reveal the specific challenges or difficulties that secondary special educators experience while performing their transition- related roles and responsibilities. 5 out of the 12 secondary special educators rated their teacher training programme as good and...

Study of Children with Cochlear Implants

This diploma paper is a summary of my knowledge and experience from ten-year observation of a child with a cochlear implant. The child was one of the first implanted children in the Czech Republic. The observation started during the nursery school attendance, then continued at the basic school and will be finished in the first year of the practical school. I was interested in child's language, personal development in school and family environment, including interpersonal relation. The theoretic part of this theses covers a brief history of the cochlear implants, their technology and possibilities and introduces selection candidates of the candidate for implantation. It handles also with methodology of subsequent rehabilitation. The practical part includes description of logopaedia therapy process in the context of the complex therapeutic incidence. A Book in Two Languages

The dissertation contains as a basic analysis of bilingual book, which is one of the book form with already crucial position on the Czech book market. It describes its major functions and categories that are indicated from one-language book and contains information about bilingual books production in the time of communist period of the Czech Republic history (samizdat). Work consider as a first bilingual textbook Orbis Sensualium Pictus from Jan Amos Komenský. Final part of theoretical investigation is trying to answer a basic question if this book form can be used in multicultural/ intercultural education in the Czech Republic and Europe. Part of the work is disclosing outcomes of analysis, which aim was to find out what is the standing and prediction of bilingual book in publishing houses and also talking about usage and position of the bilingual book as an education tool in schools in the Czech Republic. Education part offers methodology and conclusions from two art themes realized at basic school and one proposal of education procedure, where book (bilingual book) could be used as a tool in intercultural education. Adolf Liebscher 1857-1919

Adolf Liebscher belongs among the artists known as the "National Theatre Generation." Like ist foremost representatiwes, F. Ženíšek, M. Aleš and V. Hynais, Liebscher also produced an oeuvre of great diversity - he created decorative paintings and historical compositions, was interested in folklore painting, his drawings were published by the major journals of that time as Zlatá Praha or Světozor and rus illustrations appeared in many albums, books of poems and novels. Liebscher was bom on March 11, 1857, into a family of a Provincial Committee engineer Josef Liebscher. His older brother Karel (1851 - 1906) later became an appreciated landscape painter, with whom Adolf often cooperated. In 1875 - 1878, Adolf Liebscher studied at the School of Applied Arts in Vienna, in the three-year course for hand-drawing teachers under F. Laufberger. After obtaining a diploma, he entered the studio of E. A. Donadini for half-a-year, where he prepared his proposals for the competition for the National Theatre. In 1879, he was awarded in the competition and was commissioned to carry out some of his proposals in the passage of the theatre. Here he created eight lunette allegories of Dramatic arts.

Negotiations and processes of dividing of the Czechoslovak Federation

Themes of this thesis are negotiations and processes leading to the division of Czechoslovak federation. At the beginning this work describes common history of Czechoslovakia till the year 1989. This part of the thesis is primarily focused on problems and common issues of both nations present in Czechoslovakia. There is also brief analysis of national policy towards other nations. Second part of the beginning is dealing with the political history of Czechoslovakia between November 1989 and June 1992. This part describes in detail the biggest difficulties both nations had to solve. Special attention is paid to the "dash-war", dispute about competence between republics and federation, negotiations about state agreement and constitutions. From the opening analysis results, that till the election in June 1992 was achieving a compromise between both nations difficult but still possible. Next part of this thesis describes its main theme, the negotiations between political elites of ODS and HZDS, rule parties elected in the year 1992. In this detail interpretation of conferences is revealed role of each of the main politicians involved in the process of the partition, starting with problematic role of Václav Havel, who unwillingly but significantly contributed to the division, continuing with uncompromising...

The dissertation is focused on cross-cutting curriculum Man and the world of work in economic fields of education and its integration into the educational system. The theoretical part is devoted to information on the general and school education programs, cross-cutting curriculum Man and the world of work, its history and its inclusion in school curricula and teaching. The practical part is aimed to analyze the completed achievement tests and questionnaires by students of business academies and interpretation of the results with subsequent own proposals for the integration of cross-curricular curriculum Man and the world of work into the educational system in economic fields of education.

Attention in preschool children

English abstrakt The main task of the thesis is to identify and measure the attention of children of preschool age. It is divided into two parts. Theoretical part, which is devoted to the definition of attention, provides a comprehensive overview of the history beginning with the issue, describes the different types, characteristics, attention disorders and conditions affecting the attention. An integral part is a description of the preschool child and work with children of preschool age. The second part of the research, then engaged in empirical research with preschool children. Children in kindergarten were placed on various characteristics of the tests of attention. These tests were then evaluated and processed. Were investigated differences in tasks between children and between the three established groups of children Bachelor thesis aims to answer the question, what are the differences between the four-year, five year old and six year old children and compares the performance and level of awareness among different groups of children.
