Deletion in coalesced hashing
Mrkva, Lukáš ; Koubková, Alena (advisor) ; Skopal, Tomáš (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with operation DELETE in coalesced hashing. First of all we talk about principles of hashing itself and we describe some basic types of hashing. Chapter 3 is devoted to coalesced hashing and creating the corresponding hash table using di erent inserting methods with or without cellar presence. Then, three algorithms for deleting records form hash table are introduced. Their implementaion is discussed in detail for every inserting method of coalesced hashing. Simulated data experiments follow the theoretical part of the thesis. They are focused on comparing time consumption of the delete algorithms as well as search performance before/after delete. The presented algorithms are implemented in C language and are available on enclosed CD together with the measured results.

Cognitive deficiency of depressive patients in remission
Marčíková, Tereza ; Šípek, Jiří (advisor) ; Šivicová, Gabriela (referee)
The aim of this study is deeper understanding of cognition in people with unipolar depressive disorder in remission. First, we introduce relevant research on the cognitive functions of depressive patients in various periods of their illness and we employ this part as a theoretic background of our study. Using qualitative methodology we try to map the cognition in several patients su ering from the unipolar depressive disorder. Our research consist of in depth semi structured interview from six informants, from which ve had passed the criteria for enlistment in the sample informants are patients of Psychiatrické centrum Praha (PCP), su ering from the unipolar depressive disorder according to MKN 10, which in the time of the interviews were not hospitalized and were in remission (scored less then 12 on the MADRS scale). We created an outline of an interview consisting of 9 key areas concerning the main cognitive functions. We were interested in the self-perception of the level of the cognitive functions in comparison with the period before the onset of the depression. Futher, subjects were administered the MADRS scale. The informants were interview from half an hour to an hour, the interview were recorded and later transcribed into written form. Five categories were devided based on the transcribtion: Long...

Developement of tax burden of dependent and independent activity
Doležalová, Ivana ; Vančurová, Alena (advisor) ; Charvátová, Jana (referee)
This thesis deals with the development of tax-dependent and independent activities. The main aim is to demonstrate significantly higher taxation of tax-dependent against independent activities. The partial objective is to summarize the development of taxation from 1993 until the end of 2009. Thesis first discuss the question of fair determination of the tax base, further examines the legislative regulation of taxation of both activity. In the analytical part the development of taxation is analyzed since 1993 where the numerical calculations show the impact of changes on taxpayers. The thesis records all the important changes that have taken place in connection with the method of calculating the tax liability, development of the tax bands gliding progressive taxation and the subsequent change in the "flat" tax in relation to the amount and way of using tax discounts and deductions, the impact of changes in the development of minimum and maximum tax base, the impact of the existence of a minimum tax base, etc. The calculations are performed on three types of taxpayers who are divided by the amount of their income to low-, medium-and high income taxpayers. Most of the results shall provide a comparison of the impact of tax on taxpayers performing dependent and independent activity.

Theory of Non-Democratic Regimes (Barma)
Tejrovská, Pavla ; Kubišová, Zuzana (referee) ; Stracený, Josef (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to describe the current theories concerning undemocratic regimes. It focuses on individual authors, on the subjects they treat and the typology of undemocratic systems. The first part of the work defines the basic terminology and theory of undemocratic systems itself. The main point of interest is to develop an appropriate characteristic that would distinguish two most important types of undemocratic regimes - authoritarian and totalitarian. The second part deals with the practical analysis of a particular example of a non-establishment state - Burma - and approaches the atmosphere prevailing in the country. Included are also diary records of a journey across the country. Finally, the work trys to bring answers to questions of what, even in the technically advanced 21st century, allows the possiblity of existence of undemocratic systems that violate the most basic human rights; why the citizens do not dispose of the power to alter the situation; why, despite of their attempts, the most powerful countries remain unsuccessful in their deeds; and finally, whether there are any ways of changing the system. The appendices also include authentic photographs taken in Burma. The thesis has shown that the theoretical approaches as well as the real forms of undemocratic systems are varied....

Problems of description of electronic online resources in contemporary library cataloguing practice
Jelínková, Lenka ; Bratková, Eva (advisor) ; Drobíková, Barbora (referee)
The topic of the thesis is bibliographic description of electronic online resources in foreign and Czech contemporary cataloguing practice. The first part of the thesis analyzes the development of description of electronic online resources in 90th of the 20th century along with an introduction of important foreign projects which contributed to this development. The paper analyzes in detail all areas of bibliographic description according to ISBD(ER) and the fields of MARC 21 format used for description of electronic online resources. The thesis also evaluates cataloguing practice of the National library of the Czech Republic within WebArchiv project and building of subject gateways. The heart of the thesis is detailed analyze of illustrating examples of description of electronic online resources including cataloguing records with comments clarifying some difficult questions of desciption of this resources. Final part of the thesis analyzes alternative approaches in the field of bibliographic description of electronic online resources, escpecially metadata formats and their most widespread representative within library community - Dublin Core. The thesis deals also with possible future perspectives of cataloguing practice and shortly introduces new cataloguing standard RDA.

Development of European regulation against the abuse of legalization of crime proceeds
Palková, Markéta ; Zemánek, Jiří (referee) ; Tomášek, Michal (advisor)
The purpose of my thesis is to record the development of the legal regulations focused on the fight against the legalisation of the proceeds of crime with particular emphasis on the regulation within the European Union. I have chosen this topic because of the recency of money laundering phenomenon and the missing comprehensive outline of the development of the legal regulations in this area. Money laundering may be loosely defined as all actions and procedures intended to conceal or disguise the source, nature, ownership or real beneficiary of the illicitly gained funds in order to create the impression that the proceeds have a legitimate source. If this process is successfull, illicitly generated funds will seem to be absolutely legal and become easily available for the criminal. The thesis is composed of six chapters. Chapter One is introductory and contains the basic information related to money laundering and illustrates the aims of my paper. Chapter Two consists of two parts which characterises the very concept of money laundering. Part One contains various definitions of money laundering which can be found in law. Part Two describes the three stages of money laundering - placement, layering and integration and shortly demonstrates the methods usually used for money laundering (e. g. smurfing, money...

Reconstruction and model of postglacial spread of subgenus Alnus in Europe
Jelenová, Hana ; Barták, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Mandák, Bohumil (referee)
Many paradoxes exist about postglacial tree migration and they dont solve for many European trees. One example is wetland trees subgenus Alnus, which spread across Europe during the last glacial very quickly according to fossil records. The aim of this thesis is detection their migration potential, with the help of empirical evaluation of interpolated pollen data (interpolation method IDW) and a simulation model based on environmental characteristics of the species. The results of interpolated maps are similar to the rate previously estimated speed and the results of simulation model achieve these speeds only by A. incana but with specific extreme environmental conditions. The mason of this may be adapting its seeds to anemochorii because the simulation model confirmed their good potential to spread by the wind. Results of model for A. glutinosa don´t confirm the ability to rapidly spread by the wind and the observed rate must have another explanation. Maybe rivers can explain the empirical spread rate. This suggests visualization of migration lines and river networks. The model has also been disclosure of environmental properties that are related to migration potential. Within the parameterization of the model is demonstrated, that R0 of A. glutinosa is significantly better than A. incana. But main parameters of anemochory model are terminal velocity and generation time, which is shorter by the A. incana, and therefore is probably able to spread faster than A. glutinosa.
