Misuse of Allowances in British Parliament

The bachelor thesis is called Misuse of Allowances in British Parliament and its theme is the Expenses scandal in British Parliament in 2009. The thesis is divided into seven chapters. First chapter brings readers into the problem and describes a system of rewarding British MPs and allowances scheme at the time before the scandal. It is followed by chapters focused on the scandal beginning and reactions on the scandal. Firstly, reactions of media are described and then examples of MPs' reaction are provided. Secondly, reactions of political parties, official institutions and actions taken by the democratic system are studied. The next chapter is dedicated to the impact of scandal on the results of the European Parliament election in 2009 and General election in 2010. Finally, major points of the scandal are analyzed in the last chapter.

A comparison of the legal regulation and position of rating agencies in the CR, EU and the USA

The aim of the thesisis an analysis of EU credit rating agencies legal regulation in comparison with regulation in the USA. This analysis outlines the crucial and less important aspects of regulation in EU and USA. One of Chapters of this study is also describing the reflection of EU credit rating agencies regulation to Czech law. The thesis is composed of five chapters. First of them explains basic context and position of credit rating agencies. Chapter two is focused on EU legislation. Chapter Three briefly describes the position of credit rating agencies in the Czech Republic. Chapter Four illustrates the credit rating agencies legal regulation in USA. The text is mainly focused on Two of the EU regulations and, regarding the US legislation, on the Credit Rating Agency Reform Act, part of the Dodd - Frank Act and some of the more important rules conducted by Security Exchange Commission. The comparison of both legal systems is placed in Chapter Five and completed with commentary.

The research library of South Bohemia in České Budějovice - present state and perspectives

Bakalářská práce pojednává o současném stavu Jihočeské vědecké knihovny v Českých Budějovicích (http://www.cbvk.cz/), se zaměřením na poskytované služby a akce pořádané pro čtenáře. V první kapitole jsou stručně nastíněny dějiny Jihočeské vědecké knihovny od konce 19. století do současnosti, zdůrazněny jsou klíčové momenty, jež ovlivnily její další vývoj. Dále je blíže představen současný stav JVK, její materiální a personální zajištění, budování speciálních fondů a přechod na nový automatizovaný knihovní systém Advanced Rapid Library. Jádro bakalářské práce tvoří podrobná charakteristika služeb a kulturních aktivit knihovny. Pozornost je také věnována publikační činnosti, za níž dostala Jihočeská vědecká knihovna významné ocenění. V neposlední řadě jsou popsány regionální funkce a činnosti v rámci Jihočeského kraje a snaha JVK napomoci rozvoji sítě jihočeských knihoven a zkvalitnění jejich služeb. Tyto aktivity jsou často hrazeny díky dotacím získaným z grantů a projektů vypisovaných v rámci České republiky i Evropské unie. V závěru je nastíněna budoucnost knihovny a její perspektivy, představeny jsou její plány ohledně stávající budovy a jejího využití. Načrtnuto je i několik návrhů na zkvalitnění a rozšíření služeb pro čtenáře.

The Constitution and Changes of the Ideal of Man in Ancient Drama

V úvodu naší práce vymezujeme jako základní cíl interpretaci obrazu cloveka v antické tragédii a s tím nedílne spojenou interpretaci rádu sveta, který cloveku urcuje jeho meze. Toto základní vymezení cíle práce nás vede k analýze dalších duležitých prvku, které údel cloveka v reckých dramatech pomáhají konstruovat. Jedná se zejména o vztah k bohum, fenomén osudového predurcení a náhody, zpusoby zakládání lidské viny a trestu za tyto viny. Krom techto vnitrních dimenzí díla venujeme pozornost i vnejším faktorum které se na konstrukci textu dramat podílejí. Jedná se zejména o promenu postavení Athén, které se z pozice suverénního hegemona, z konceptu vnímání sama sebe jako "spásy Recka", posouvají do role obce, která svuj potenciál musí užívat predevším na obranu vlastních korenu a posléze je zasažena vnitrním skepticismem, který radikálne problematizuje dosavadní neochvejné danosti. Zabýváme se rovnež vlivem nástupu sofístické filozofie, která prináší významnou zmenu perspektivy vnímání sveta, a uvádíme ji do vztahu ke konkrétním dramatickým textum. V úvodní kapitole Antické drama a jeho postavení v životech obcanu polis vrazujeme instituci divadla do struktury obce a sledujeme výsostnost jejího postavení, která nemá v dalších dejinných epochách obdoby. Monumental painting in Prague sanctuaries between late gothic and baroque

The submitted rigorous thesis represents the author's attempt at contribution to the study of the Czech Renaissance. It is devoted to a remarkable group of the Renaissance mural painting - the paintings in Prague sacral interiors. It is based the author's seminar works and above all on his diploma thesis from the year 2002. The earlier works came into existence under guidance of Doc. PhDr. Jiří Kropáček within the framework of his Renaissance seminar, as well as of Prof. PhDr. Lubomír Konečný within the framework of the Iconography seminar. The most extensive part of the thesis is the Catalogue. The author seeks to present a complete overview of works in each of the 34 sanctuaries presented in alphabetical order, most of the items consist of smaller paragraphs concerning particular paintings or chapels. The paintings included are both preserved and extinct, known only from sources listed mostly in the Text Appendix. Every item is accompanied by facts about the creation of the particular work, which is followed by the description, eventually also by stylistic and iconographic analysis as well as by comparison with graphic models, whereas only a small part of the material can be acccompanied by a hypothesis on the work's authorship. Creation of the information society in the European Union with emphasis on the Czech Republic

Cílem práce je vytvoření uceleného přehledu o evropské informační společnosti, o aktivitách Evropské unie týkajících se budování evropské informační společnosti a o oblastech, jež jsou těmito aktivitami ovlivněny. V počátku práce je stručně zmíněna samotná Evropská unie, shrnuty základní údaje o Evropské unii, připomenuty významné mezníky v její historii, základní principy fungování EU a její nejdůležitější orgány. Následují kapitoly nastiňující obecně problematiku informační společnosti a její definování, zmíněn je vývoj informační společnosti ve světě, historie informační společnosti v EU i aktuálně platný program i2010. Jádro práce spočívá v kapitole pojednávající o oblastech tvorby evropské informační společnosti. Tato kapitola je rozdělena na šest základních podkapitol, tedy šest oblastí, a sice Práce a ekonomie, Kultura a společnost, Vzdělávání a školení, Výzkum a vývoj, Kvalita života a Komunikační průmysl. Příklady z České republiky dokumentují celoevropské aktivity Evropské unie v oblasti informační společnosti. V závěru je vyjádřeno zamyšlení nad současným stavem informační společnosti v Evropě.

Contribution to studies of women's roles in Victorian family and society

Cílem této práce je analýza postavení žen v rodině a ve společnosti ve Velké Británii, zejména v Anglii, ve viktoriánské éře v rámci jednotlivých sociálních vrstev, jejich vztahú s blízkým i širším okolím i jejich postavení a možností aktivit a seberealizace v širokém sociálním kontextu. Nejprve jsem se zaměřila na stručnou analýzu viktoriánské společnosti obecně. Abych mohla analyzovat vztah ženy a rodiny ve společnosti, bylo nutné tuto společnost nejprve rozčlenit na základní vrstvy a poté je s maximální pečlivostí "charakterizovat". Právě tomu je věnována první kapitola práce. Prostudovaná odborná literatura mi umožnila analyzovat postupně se měnící společenskou úlohu ženy, zejména v oblasti přísné viktoriánské morálky. V této souvislosti jsem - pro srovnání - stručně nastínila i tehdejší postavení muže ve společnosti. V téže (druhé) kapitole jsem rozpracovala i téma rodiny, zejména vztahu rodičú a dětí, ale také významné rodinné události jako námluvy, svatbu a instituci manželstvÍ. Dúležitým tématem se ukázala být velikost rodiny, ovlivňovaná zejména měnícím se životním stylem. Do něj lze zahrnout i tak významný faktor, jakým byl tehdejší přístup k sexu, respektive k antikoncepci; jemu je věnována významná část této kapitoly.

Josef Fišer (Life and Work of Regional Historian)

Submitted diploma thesis shows the portrait of Josef Fišer (1878 {--} 1944), the headmaster of a grammar school, regional historian, chronicler, cultural worker and a member of a range of societies. Josef Fišer was born in Klenčí pod Čerchovem, but he spent the majority of his life in Moravské Budějovice, where he stood in the head of a newly established Czech high school. The aim of this work is the interpception of Josef Fišer{\crq}s life, historical work and the picture of his personality in the eyes of his contemporaries. This diploma thesis also describes Josef Fišer as a high school pedagogue. Josef Fišer is undisputedly important person for the region of Moravské Budějovice. Up to present days there hasn{\crq}nt been published any monograph about him. Therefore Josef Fišer{\crq}s personal works saved in the branch of the State district archive in Třebíč {--} in Moravské Budějovice {--} played the crucial role in the creation of this work. In the first line there were newspaper{\crq}s and periodical{\crq}s articles or studies published in the occasion of the Fišer{\crq}s death or birth jubilee. The whole text is divided into six chapters, which are subdivided into subchapters. Textual or picture enclosures are joined to the diploma thesis to enrich the whole text.

Salesian Youth Center in Pilsen Annotation This bachelor thesis describes the foundation and evolution of the Salesian Youth Center in Pilsen. It aims to provide the readers with a comprehensive view of how the Center works with specific target groups; how the basic type of work is expanding - the Center, oratory and parish. The work tries to monitor all of the Salesians who have worked for the project during its gradual expansion to its present form. It describes the impact on its surroundings and what specific activities can be practiced.
