Sport policy and public financing of sports in Finland

: Title: Sport Policy and Sports Funding from Public Sources in Finland Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to describe how works sport culture in Finland. The thesis shows a high level of attention devote to sport and physical activities with focus on funding of the sport from public sources and lottery business (Veikkaus). The thesis provides knowledge and new information about sport culture in Finland. Methods: I have used methods of case studies and explanation, which allow me to analyze system of sport funding and sport organization in Finland. The methods were combined with secondary information to obtain furthur insight into the sport system in Finland. Results: A high level of sport policy and sports funding from public sources is proved in Finland. Satisfaction of Finns with sport conditions are documented in Eurobarometr survey. Public funding of sport in Finland is above average compere to other EU states. Due to lottery Veikkaus, state funding in to sport has long term increasing trend. Finnish sport culture highlights and characterizes providing precondition from municipalities and Finnish sport culture is driven by voluntary sector. Healthy lifestyle of young population

The thesis is focused on the verifying if the organization occupying with support of children from troubled families fulfils its public function. In the first part, there are clarifications and definitions of the terms such as young population, healthy lifestyle, institutions for leisure time activities, obesity and pathological effects (for instance juvenile delinquency and poor social habits). Furthermore, the thesis gives information about leisure time activities and their role in preventing negative impact of pathological behaviour of young people which is partly due to a lack of commitment in the interest groups of the young generation. The thesis is also focused on the definition of a non-profit organization, its characteristics and methods of financing. The second part deals with the main idea of the organization, namely the Salesian Youth Center in Pilsen, mainly with its mission, history and possibilities of the leisure time activities of the young people under eighteen. There is an analysis of the organization by Bronislaw Kasper Malinowski. The objects of study are space and equipment, personnel, rules and financing of the organization, the Salesian Youth Center in Pilsen. In the conclusion, there will be evaluation of the situation if the organization fulfils its mission and the proposition of possible improvements.
The load bearing steel building structure of the gym for ball games

Work includes design of steel structure of the single- object sports hall , which is designed for sports activities around the city of Brno . Building plan dimensions are 30 x 48 m. The main structure is formed with the help of a planar cross ties . Crosslink forming trusses which are on both sides hinged on fixed columns . The main beam is made of trusses , which have an arch shape with the construction height max. 4 m composed of a single arc. Crosslinks are spaced 6 m . The spatial rigidity provides a system of longitudinal and transverse stiffeners . The structure is designed as a purlin . All the truss rods are tubular profile , the draft of which is made according to standards EN . The columns are made of rolled profiles HEB . As a material of bearing elements is steel class S235 .
Application for Searching for Fitness Buddies (Android)

This thesis is concerned with the development of a application for smartphones. It's purpose will be to help find sports partners, no matter the sport activity, although it is aimed mainly on weight lifting activities in fitness centres. The development of the application for Android operation system and implementation of the server part made with the help of Ruby on Rails framework is analyzed in the thesis. In practice the application should enable its users to find a suitable sports partner anywhere and anytime.
