Rosůlková, Gabriela ; Pecháček, Stanislav (referee) ; Hurníková, Kateřina (advisor)
The thesis focuses on introducing the personality of the choirmaster Milan Uherek, a founder of the Severáček children's choir. In the first chapters, it tries to capture the importance and specifics of children's choir singing in the pedagogical sphere (with respect to ethical, esthetical and hygienic aspects) and in the specialized, educational sphere. They show that the success of choir work and internal harmony of the choir are dependent on the choirmaster's personality. The following chapters therefore deal with the description of professional, character and organisational prerequisites that should be represented in the choirmaster's personality. Based on the identified general findings, the personality of Milan Uherek is introduced, his life story and lifelong artistic activity associated particularly with the foundation and leadership of the Severáček children's choir. The last chapters of the thesis try to capture both musical and non-musical principles on which Milan Uherek built the many-year successful activity and existence of his choir.

The pharmacological influencing of motor skills in juvenile laboratory rats
Stehlíková, Mariana ; Bitnar, Petr (referee) ; Mareš, Pavel (advisor)
Ganaxolone is a new potencional antiepileptic drug, synthetic analog of allopregnanolone which is a metabolite of progesterone. Preclinical and clinical studies point out its anticonvulsive effect in the treatment of both partial and generalized seizures including refractory epilepsy. The aim of our research was to investigate changes in the motor performance of the immature rats after administration of ganaxolone. We also focused on the relation between motoric impairment and the age of the rats which correlates with the age of children. 90 immature rats of age 12, 18 and 25 days were tested. Rats were divided in three groups injected with doses of 20 mgGNX/kg or 40 mgGNX/kg and the control group. The tests for assessing motor performance were chosen with respect to the maturation of sensorimotor reflexes from the following batery of tests: righting test, bar holding test, wire mesh test, negative geotaxis test and open field test. There were no significant differences before and after injection of the drug and in comparison with the control group not even in comparison of classes of age. We have demonstrated that the dose of ganaxolone effective against epileptic seizures does not markedly affect the motoric performance of the immature rats. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Children of African immigrants in Portugal: strategies of identity construction
Kraftová, Barbora ; Šatava, Leoš (referee) ; Pargač, Jan (advisor)
In my thesis I deal with processes of identity construction among the children of immigrants from Lusophone Africa (Portuguese-speaking African countries) living in Portugal. The group in focus serves as a starting point for an examination of how the new hybrid and syncretic identities are constructed in today's globalized world. The children of immigrants, balancing on the edge of two or more cultures and identities and not fitting in any of the categories through which people normally identify themselves, are an ideal group for the illustration of these phenomena. In the course of my field work I was able to identify three main strategies by means of which the children of immigrants cope with their ambivalent position in society and try to find their place in the world: the strategy of identification with Portugal, the strategy of identification with their parents' country of origin and the strategy of mixed identification. Through the analysis of the functioning of these three strategies I try to find out the factors that determine which strategy each of the informants chooses and what is the impact of this choice on their lives. The results tell us a lot not only about the children of immigrants themselves but about the Portuguese society in general as well.
