Cartoons political commentary: Freedom of speech and accusations of defamation

This thesis deals with the genre of political cartoons, which is a relatively understudied genre today. The thesis tries to review the past and also the present position of the genre under question, to describe its functions and possibilities; however, it namely focuses on the potential collisions between freedom of speech and other freedoms, rights or interests that might come up in the cartoonists' work. This thesis shows the way these collisions influence the position of the whole genre and analyses the sources and reasons for the attempts to limit cartoonists in their expression. Two different areas are examined here - continental European and American - as areas with different legal tradition and history, which is a fact that manifests itself in different approach to the concepts of freedom of speech. Through analysis of three different cartoon controversies from the past that came up in these areas, this thesis reaches the conclusion, that one of the greatest challenges the cartooning craft is facing today is the phenomenon of political correctness, mainly in the American territory, which has a chilling effect on the genre of cartoons. The thesis completely summarizes single steps that need to be done before opening one's own company and contains the business plan of a new rising restaurant with an estimation of whether the plan is realistic, feasible and if it has a chance to succeed. The thesis consists of the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part focuses on the explanation of fundamental concepts related to this issue -- what business and company are, description of a successful businessman, activities which should be done before you start your own business and activities which should be avoided. After that there is the description of the most important aspects of a business plan -- its meaning, users, rules of correct elaboration, detailed structure and its appurtenances. The practical part contains of a concrete business plan of a restaurant in the region of Mělnik. It deals with a choice of a legal form of a company, optimal placing of a restaurant and its establishing, market analysis, creation of a product, planning of a proper marketing strategy, and making plan of management and financial plan with a prognosis of developement of economy for next years. The plan was created in a way to be tabled to financial institutions while a businessman needs money subvention and also to be a fundamental document for owners while they need to lead their business.

Reducing Automata and Syntactic Errors

This thesis deals with reducing automata, their normalization, and their application for a (robust) reduction analysis and localization of syntactic errors for deterministic context-free languages (DCFL). A reducing automaton is similar to a restarting automaton with two subtle differences: an explicit marking of reduced symbols (which makes it possible to determine a position of an error accurately), and moving a lookahead window inside a control unit (which brings reducing automata closer to devices of classical automata and formal language theory). In case of reducing automata, it is easier to adopt and reuse notions and approaches developed within classical theory, e.g., prefix correctness or automata minimization. For any nonempty deterministic context-free language specified by a monotone reducing automaton, both prefix correct and minimal, we propose a method of robust analysis by reduction which ensures localization of formally defined types of (real) errors, correct subwords, and subwords causing reduction conflicts (i.e., subwords with ambiguous syntactic structure that can be reduced in different words in different ways). 64 6 Závěr V závěru této práce se pokusíme shrnout nejvýznamnější shodné i rozdílné prvky obou právních úprav jak z hlediska formálního, tak i obsahového, materiálního. Vzhledem k tomu, že jak český, tak francouzský právní systém vychází z tradic kontinentálního práva, které navazuje na kořeny práva římského, nalezneme v obou případech řadu institutů upravených obdobně a rovněž formální zdroje poznání práva se budou díky totožnému vlivu shodovat. Nejinak tomu je i v případě právní úpravy ochrany lesa. Další skutečností, částečně ovlivňující obě právní úpravy bylo i uzavření dohody o přidružení mezi Českou republikou a Evropským společenstvím, jehož zakládajícím členem Francie byla, čímž se dovršila povinnost závaznosti acquis communautaire i pro Českou republiku a byl určen minimální právní rámec ochrany životního prostředí. 6.1 Shrnutí shodných a rozdílných rysů z hlediska formálního Zaměříme-li se, byť i jen zběžně na ochranu lesa ve francouzském právu s již minimální znalostí lesního práva českého, na první pohled jsou nám zřejmé rozdíly. The objective of the thesis is a merger in czech business environment. The first chapter focuses on the history of mergers and motives of mergers. The next part concentrates on the characteristics of the transformation of the companies. The thesis includes description of mergers according to the international accepted standards, mainly IFRS 3 (IAS 22). There is a description of mergers from the legal, accounting and tax point of view. After the theoretical part the thesis describes a real case of a merger of two companies combined with the transformation of legal form.

However and therefore - their occurrence and use in official documents of the EU

This thesis aims at discussing two connectives however and therefore. It focuses on their occurrence use in legal and official materials. The main reason why this topic was chosen is the frequent occurrence of these connectives in the language of law and political diplomacy and the fact that the use of these connectives does not always facilitate the reception of the texts and may be confusing at times. The materials used for the following analysis are taken from documents that the Council of the European Union has made available on its websites. These materials include treaties, agreements, legislation in force, preparatory acts, or case law. Treaties and agreement may include annexes and protocols, legislation in force may include acts of law as well as their amendments and addenda, and case law may include judgements, opinions, official speeches, statements, and so on. All these materials have to do with law, business, economy, and all represent a formal or very formal style. Financial management of municipal waste in municipality Dacice

The graduation thesis concerns on questions of financial management of municipal waste in municipality Dacice. Profits and costs, related to waste management, are analyzed. Relevant economic theories are presented in the first chapter. Consequent chapters describe economic instruments and legislative regulation of waste policy in Czech Republic. The practical application of the theoretical findings is presented in the final chapter. Pursuant to analysis of waste management the deficiencies are mentioned and recommendations are given.

Creating a Methodology for Correct Compilation of Final Accounts and Final Statements for the Selected Non-profit Organization

The aim of the thesis is to develop a methodology for the proper compilation of accounts and financial statements for a selected nonprofit organization. For a non-profit organization is selected territorial self-governing unit, the Town of Oloví.
The theoretical part of the work on the basis of study of scientific literature and current legislation is first engaged in the management and it is division on the management of private and public, where the biggest emphasis on territorial self-governing units, the municipalities. In the next part of the work explains the basic concepts related to the issue, which gradually builds the process cut off entries, the work ending with the financial statements and the obligations resulting from it.
Own part of the thesis uses both theoretical experience acquired by studying the professional literature and practical experience gained within professional practice. The practical part gradually passes through the different steps of the cut off entries work and their follow-up of the financial statements. Individual activities are first practically described how after page of postings, so after the site specific calculations, when they are used the specific data of the financial statements of the City of Oloví for the year 2015. Subsequently, for each step created a detailed methodology for easy and correct assembly of the accounts and financial statements of the Town of Oloví. This methodology is prepared for the specific needs of the Town of Oloví, and therefore not every municipality to fully comply.
