Alternative pedagogy and adult education are two independent educational disciplines. They differ in the object of education. In altemative pedagogy it is child who receives schooling while in adult education the one being schooled is an adult. This text maps the history of both of these disciplines as well as their didactic aspects. Subsequently it compares both of these courses of study. In its first part, the work discusses the origins and evolution of a1temative pedagogy and adult education together with the most influentia1 representatives of these disciplines and movements, which have originated within these disciplines or have affected them significantly. This text also deals with interdigitation of the two disciplines over time. In the second part of this text I engage in discussion of didactic principles and didactic methods of a1temative pedagogy and adult education. Compare them, examine their analogy and on the basis of that, I try to provide an opinion on the possibility of mutual collaboration of these educationa! disciplines.

Figure of Josef Švejk
Krabsová, Veronika ; Mocná, Dagmar (referee) ; Peterka, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the main character of an unfinished four-part novel by Jaroslav Hašek, The Fateful Adventures of the Good Soldier Švejk During the World War. The protagonist of this work, Josef Švejk, is one of the most discussed issues in Czech literature. His character has stirred emotions since as early as the 1920's. The chapter "Classification of Interpretations" maps changes in Czech expert literary opinion regarding Josef Švejk (Švejk as a Sancho-Panza type, Švejk as a fairytale personality, Švejk as a storyteller and humorist, etc.). The longest part of the thesis is dedicated to the characteristics of the ambivalent hero: a physical characterization (it is interesting that Josef Švejk was never described in detail in the book; we mostly draw on illustrations by Josef Lada), a psychological characterization (readers have some misgivings about Josef Švejk; they don't know whether the figure is an idiot or a clever fellow) and a language (linguistic communication, diction and anecdotes describe Josef Švejk in large measure). This text also includes information about the genesis of protagonist Josef Švejk: The Good Soldier Švejk and Other Strange Stories - Josef Švejk before the World War; The Good Soldier Švejk in Captivity - Josef Švejk written during the War; The Fateful Adventures...

Regulation and supervision of the central bank over the financial institutions
Váchová, Barbora ; Bakeš, Milan (advisor) ; Karfíková, Marie (referee)
Resumé/Summary The goal of my thesis was to clearly map the system of central bank's regulation and supervision of financial institutions through defining different entities that operate in the market and risks they take. I tried not to limit my thesis to the Czech banking market but to assess impacts of significant EC directives regarding regulation and supervision on our legal order. The reason for my research was to solve a disputable issue concerning the suitability or even necessity of the financial sector regulation, compared to the claim of some economists who incline to the concept of avoiding the financial market regulation. In my opinion, banking regulation seems to be a completely natural phenomenon with positive impact on the entire economy, which mostly arises from the bank position that has to be different from other industrial or trade companies. The thesis consists of four chapters with each chapter focusing on specific aspects of banking regulation and supervision. Chapter one defines key institutions of the financial market, which are commercial banks, other financial institutions and regulated entities in the position of regulated and supervised persons on one hand, and the regulating and supervising authority on the other hand, which is the Czech National Bank in the Czech Republic. Mrklasová, Ivana ; Kuhnová, Věra (referee) ; Dvořáková, Hana (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the exercise of parents and children (PACES - parents and children exercise simultaneously) and its effect on toddlers and children of early pre-school age. It examines the development of locomotive skills and social competences of this age category from both theoretical and practical point of view. The introduction of the thesis focuses on the history of such exercise, or on psycho- social and physiological development of children. On this basis it formulates some rules for this type of exercise. The practical part verifies the benefits of the exercise by testing, measuring locomotive skills and comparing them with those of children that do not participate in the PACES. It maps the formation of children's social competences via socialisation games. The opinions of participating parents represent another view on the exercise of children and parents. The conclusion of the thesis puts the results of the survey into a wider context of research and measurement made on this topic in the past. 2
