Valentová, Hana ; Hendrychová, Michaela (advisor) ; Šustek, Petr (referee)
The presented thesis provides a comprehensive view of the current legislation on family and parents-children relationships, including insights into past and future. Being a still hot topic is the reason why I chose it for my thesis. Two introductory chapters discuss historical context of family and development of legal relationships between parents and children to date. The family has evolved over time, developed and changed and so has the status of its individual members, which was all reflected in legislation (paternal power, parental power, parental rights and duties, parental responsibilities). The current concept of family is described in Chapter 3, followed by Chapter 4 which gives general characteristics of family law and legal relations within the family, including the definitions of basic concepts used in the rest of the work. Key Chapter 5 discusses the concept of parental responsibilities brought into our law by the so-called "big amendment" to the Family Code (Act No. 91/1998 Coll.). In exercising these rights and duties, parents are obliged to protect the best interests of the minor child, to control his or her actions and to exercise supervision over him or her. The parent-child relationship is equal and both its parties are holders of complementary rights and duties. In all actions, child's...

Kimáková, Barbora ; Barša, Pavel (advisor) ; Gladkova, Hana (referee)
The main objective of the thesis: "Language and National Identity. The Case of Language Policy in Bosnia and Herzegovina" is to demonstrate how language has been used as an instrument of national identity formation - ethnic or territorial - on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is achieved by the description of laws, foremost constitutions, concerning the use of language and by putting these laws into the context of the debate on the relationship between language and national identity in Bosnia and Herzegovina. One of the principal assumptions in the thesis is that this debate is closely linked to a similar one which was developing in former (socialist) Yugoslavia and even in the 19th century. The thesis is divided into four chapters. Chapter one introduces the theoretical framework for the description of the language-national identity relationship. It defines the concept of nation, nationalism and national identity, their division into ethnic and territorial and describes the influence of language on development of such identities, especially in the case of language-based ethnic nations. Finally, the concept of language policy and language...

- Agency employment The name of my diploma thesis is the agency employment. Nowadays, the institute of agency employment is a widespread phenomenon on the labour market. It is a very popular institution for employees as well as for employers, which is being changed under the demand of society needs and according to valid legislation. The thesis is divided into 6 chapters dealing with different aspects of agency employment. The first chapter provides the basic notions of agency employment, defines key terms associated to it. The second chapter focuses on the historical development of agency employment. It also outlines the view of international adjustment of agency employment, gives a short excursion into European legislation and provides an approach of the valid legislation in the Czech Republic.
