Life Goals - An Intergenerational Comparison

This thesis deals with the subject of life goals. It presents selected life goal theories and possible life goal classifications. Attention is also paid to developmental characteristics of life goals in the context of Theories of life-span development. Another related subject is meaningfulness of life - which is closely related to life goals. It outlines philosophical roots of this concept and some psychological theories. The last subject of the theoretical part is psychological construct of well-being, which is presented by selected theories. Empirical part of this thesis is trying to verify the hypothesis that there is a significant difference between the content of important goals of younger and older adults. It also examines the connexion between intrinsic and extrinsic aspirations and Life satisfaction. In order to attain this aim, we used two methods trough two different questionnaires - Satisfaction with Life Scale and Aspiration Index (AI). Samples were made by assessing answers of 962 Czech adult respondents, and the survey packet was distributed to participants online. We found significant differences between younger and older adults in the importance attributed to different goals which concerned: Affiliation, Sense of community, Physical health, Financial Success, Image, Popularity,...

The Study of hydration models on platinum complexes important in anticancer cure

In this work, there are studied some biologically important platinum complexes, cisplatin analogues, with central platinum atom in state Pt(II), or Pt(IV). I concentrated on the hydration processes of the examined complexes. Thermodynamical and kinetical aspects of reactions were studied and NPA charge analyses were carried out, too. All computations were performed on DFT level with B3LYP functional. All reactions were considered in vacuum. Supermolecular approach was used for energy calculations.

V jednotlivých kapitolách jsou uvedené výhody a nevýhody jeho použití, typy dokumentárních akreditivů, použitelnost akreditivu a dokumenty používané při akreditivních operacích. Poslední kapitola je zaměřená na eUCP, elektronický akreditiv a systémy elektronického akreditivu.

Impact of culture elements on the marketing. Specifics of New Zealand culture.

This Diploma paper deals with topic of cultural impact on the Marketing. Connections and significance of cultural elements are explored in marketing perspective. The methodical section of this paper is focused on the Culture of New Zealand, when its specific traits are described and main cultural elements related to the marketing are analyzed. In the first part of the paper it discusses the culture in general terms as well-dynamic process and takes up with the main elements of culture. Extraordinary attention is paid to the specific symbolic perception of colours in various cultures as the most important visual factor, which is also connected with the marketing. Theoretical section of this paper is closed up by analysis of the Model cultural dimensions, which was invented by Dutch anthropologist Geert Hofstede. This model provides measurable data about main cultural traits and differences in certain cultures over the World. The Analysis of Hofstede`s model also includes relation to the various religions. The second part of the paper deals with the process of significant culture elements application on the marketing field. Primarily attention goes to the marketing mix and its tools -- product, price, place and promotion. This section defines and explains main aspects and perspectives of multicultural marketing, which are necessary to respect. The final methodical part of this paper focuses on the Culture of New Zealand and its fundamental elements related to the marketing as well. It provides overview of the main culture traits, which are essential to be adapted to launch New Zealand market successfully. Research of the visual symbol perception in Czech and New Zealand culture completes this topic. This was done through questionnaire using cultural based print advertisements. In conclusion it presents summary of the main goals found in this diploma paper.

Personality Typology of Ice Hockey Player

Název diplomové práce: Osobnostní typologie hráče ledního hokeje Název diplomové práce v angličtině: Persona! typology ofice hockey player Cíl práce: Cílem práce je zdokumentovat rozdíly v temperamentu hráčů ledního hokeje juniorské kategorie z hlediska jejich role, výkonnosti, věku a úrovně ligy kterou hrají. Metoda řešení: Zkoumaný vzorek tvořilo 5 družstev z 1. juniorské hokejové ligy a 5 družstev z extraligy juniorů. Hráčům byl předložen Eysenckův osobnostní dotazník (EPI), který byl vyhodnocen standartním způsobem. Získané hodnoty extraverze a neuroticismu byly z hlediska statistické významnosti srovnávány v hlediscích výkonnosti (reprezentant- extraligový hráč - prvoligový hráč), úrovně ligy (extraliga- l.liga), věku a specifické role hráčů (útočník - obránce - brankař) ve statistickém programu CNSS 6.0. Jako statistická metoda pro srovnání hodnot byla použita MANOVA analýza. Výsledky: Statisticky významné rozdíly v hodnotách extraverze a neuroticismu určujících temperament hráče jsme zaznamenali při srovnání hráčů z hlediska úrovně ligy kterou hrají a jejich výkonnosti. Statisticky nevýznamné rozdíly v hodnotách extraverze a neuroticismu JSme zaznamenali při srovnání hráčů z hlediska jejich role a věku. Code Assertions Verification Using Backward Symbolic Execution

In order to prevent, detect and fix errors in software, various tools for programmers are available, while some of them are able to reason about the behaviour of the program. In the case of C# programming language, the main representatives are Microsoft FxCop, Code Contracts and Pex. Those tools can, indeed, help to build a highly reliable software. However, when a company wants to include them in the software development process, there is a significant overhead involved. Therefore, we created a "light- weight" assertion verification tool called AskTheCode that can help the user to focus on a particular problem at a time that needs to be solved. Because of its goal-driven approach, we decided to implement it using backward symbolic execution. Although it can currently handle only basic C# statements and data types, the evaluation against the existing tools shows that it has the potential to eventually provide significant added value to the user once developed further. MOŽNOSTI VYUŽITÍ PROJEKTOVÝCH TECHNIK V PROCESNÍM MANAGEMENTU A NOVÉ SMĚRY PROJEKTOVÉHO MANAGEMENTU

Tato práce se zabývá vzájemnou provázaností projektového a procesního řízení. Jejím cílem je zjištění možností přenosu technik a metod aplikovaných při řešení projektů na řešení problémů v procesním řízení. Po prozkoumání společných a rozdílných rysů projektů a procesů jsem v první části práce dospěl k závěru, že mezi instanci procesu a projekt lze, s jistými omezeními, položit ekvivalenci. V následující části práce mapuji vzájemné interakce mezi projektovým a procesním řízením. Jsou zde uvedeny jak obecné způsoby vzájemných interakcí mezi oběma typy řízení, tak vybrané metodiky, které získávají v posledních letech na významu, ale prozatím nepronikly do obecného povědomí (Six Sigma, Lean). Práce má také za úkol čtenáře seznámit s novými trendy v projektovém řízení. Do této oblasti spadá a významnou částí na práci se podílí pojednání o Human Interaction Managementu. Práce se pokouší o zmapování jeho možností a přínosů, ale také možných problémových oblastí, se kterými se může uživatel tohoto přístupu setkat. Do práce jsem zahrnul také seznámení s prvním Human Interaction Management Systémem, který prozatím není běžně dostupný. Cílem bylo přiblížit čtenáři způsob práce s takovýmto systémem, seznámit jej s výhodami tohoto nového přístupu na konkrétní aplikaci, ale také nastínit možná úskalí.

The Effectivity Analysis of BI using Oracle database

The main goal of this diploma thesis is to provide advice and recommendations to increase the effectiveness of Business Intelligence using Oracle database. More specifically, the focus of the thesis is the optimization of ETL processes and objects in a data warehouse. Tests to compare different optimization techniques are performed to meet the defined goal. These tests are based on common tasks solved in data warehouses on daily basis. Tests are also supported by publications of leading authors in Oracle environment. The second goal of this work is the implementation of appropriate optimization techniques to real ETL pro-cess in order to increase its effectiveness. Performance changes are compared and measured using metrics defined for the ETL process and requirements from client. Optimization techniques presented for main objectives are used to achieve the second objective. Contri-bution of the thesis is to show the most important optimization techniques and tips that every developer should know and be able to use effectively. Another added value is au-thor's practical experiences in real data warehouse environment.

Analysis of the development of the Cypriot banks in years 2010–2016

This master thesis is based on analyses of the Cypriot banking sector from 2010 to 2016. The aim is to describe the effects of the recent financial crisis in Cyprus to locally operating banks, to assess the assistance provided to Cypriot banks and especially to analyze the development of systemically important Cypriot banking institutions, namely the Bank of Cyprus Group, Cooperative Central Bank, Hellenic Bank and RCB Bank Ltd with emphasis on the most important banking institution in Cyprus. The work draws mainly from published financial results of the systemic banks and from the Central Bank of Cyprus representing the consolidated banking sector. Furthermore, for the purpose of this study was used the Eurostat database, EBA and the IMF periodicals, along with the websites of the credit rating agencies.
