Částková, Ivana ; Pavelková, Isabella (advisor) ; Hadj - Moussová, Zuzana (referee)
This final paper focuses on high school senior's motivation and their future time perspective. I will attempt to describe the students' motivation in general, not only their educational motivation. I will endeavor to ascertain such things as if the students can already envision their future education and profession; and, if they are more ambitious about their career versus raising a family. This paper has two sections: the theoretic and the research. The theoretic component describes the adolescent and early adulthood periods of the students' lives. It also discusses most of the major changes in their life at this time. This section will also concentrate on the students' perception of time. I wrote about the historical perception of time and the theory of motivation, and analyzed how they are related to the behavior and motivation of juveniles. The emphasis is on the perception of psychological time and the subjectivity of time. I also relate the main concepts of life-span psychology. The theoretic part functions as the crucial building block for the research section. The research was done February to March of 2006 in Prague. Word-formation by ablaut vs. word-formation by suffixation in diachrony
Hejná, Michaela ; Klégr, Aleš (referee) ; Čermák, Jan (advisor)
The present bachelor thesis deals with word-formation by ablaut vs. word-formation by suffixation in diachrony, namely in Old and Middle English. The reason for choosing this theme lied in its general marginalization in grammar books, in which the reader finds detailed descriptions of the grammatical function of ablaut in Old and, to a lesser extent, also in Middle English. The aim of the thesis was to describe ablaut formations during these two stages of the language in a typological perspective. The analyses focus on introflectional features of the roots of the formations and show the decrease in various combinations of the individual realizations of the roots that display ablaut with inflectional (-a, -e, -o/-u; -) and purely derivational, agglutinative, suffixes (-lic; -full; -scip; -had; -d, -t, -). The thesis further focuses on whether the various realizations of the roots are connected with the selected suffixes also semantically, i.e. whether there exist formal and/or semantic correspondences in the combinations. The analyses themselves were preceded by determining morphologically related families on the basis of the Dictionary of Old English: A-F, the most recent and detailed dictionary of Old English, which covered entries under the letters A-F when our analyses were carried out. The same was done...

Kusovská, Marie ; Fialová, Ludmila (referee) ; Šídlo, Luděk (advisor)
The Influence of Military Area on Population Development of the Town Milovice Abstract The objective of this study is to describe population development of the town Milovice, which was influenced by the existence of a military area in its neighbourhood. There were situated several armies during its 88 years history. Each army, especially the last Soviet Army, built many housing units in the area. New residents have been moving into the town since the ongoing building reconstructions started, in the 90s. The residents are mostly young couples or families witch children, which is a typical phenomenon for suburban areas. There have been a significant rejuvenation of the town's age structure, for example in 2008 the average age was 29,8 years. The study is focused on the period of 1991-2008, in which the particular components of population development are described using selected indicators. Their level is compared with the level of the Czech Republic. A finding is being concluded that a high proportion of people at young age in the population of Milovice causes differences in the development of certain indicators, such as the total fertility rate, which was significantly higher than in the Czech Republic. In conclusion, there are outlined possible variations of the town's future population development.
