Evalution and self-evalution function in the management process of the schools

The final thesis is focused on the analysis of the proces of evalution and self evalution in the school management proces. This proces is on of the important activities of the school. If done corectly ,it often leads to effective regulation of school activities developement, it creates quality schools and to the satisfaction of all parties. The theoretical part of the thesis expains the basic concepts of the evalution process. They are besed on knowledge of literature and its legal basic in the context of recent changes. The research includes a metaanalysis of works that deal with the process of evalution and self evalution. Based on these investigation, the researchers have created a general approach to the evalution of school headteachers for the school founders and the main principles of school headteachers have been named which leads to the improvement of their management activites. The thesis "School self-evaluation and transformation of school education programmes" deals with elementary school self-evaluation. It is primarily focused on analyzing outcomes of self-evaluation activities that are indtended to develop schools and adjust school education programmes. The research is based on interviews with directors and teachers from elementary schools in Prague and could be used as an overview of the current state of Czech schools. It also offers recommendations for improving schools.

The central theme of this thesis is auto-evaluation or self-evaluation of the school. The author discusses this issue in a comprehensive concept and interrelations - from theory to practice. He presents a fixed theoretical foundation, as well as analysis and interpretation of results from field mapping to professionals and practitioners. He offers to schools methodological guidelines for auto-evaluation activities. It also includes analysis of legislative framework, the discussion of the risks associated with auto-evaluation processes and current developments and planned changes (as of May 2011) in this area. Particular attention is devoted to the role of managers in schools in the autoevaluation process and its planning, organization and management. In detail, the author deals with some methods that can be used well in practice. The thesis is based on the current state of auto-evaluation of the Czech primary and secondary schools. It tries to grasp the issue in the broadest view. It also aims to provide schools the seizable platform of evaluation and auto-evaluation. Presented text adds on the topic new views, attitudes and perceptions.

In the theoretical section there are reported some basic terms related to self-evaluation, school management and the legislative framework. The subject of the research was to map how the managers of individual schools and units of the merged primary and nursery schools evaluate an area of the management. The result is a summarization of approach to school self- evaluation procedures in view of schools, which points to continuing problems in the evaluation of management of nursary schools and which opens a new way to understanding and doing self-evaluation more effective in the area of nursary schools. Level and Efficiency of External Controls of Schools in Liberec Region (Focused on Founders' Competences and Mutual Cooperation During the Inspection)

My thesis analyzes and evaluates the status and functioning of the education system in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, it analyzes the causes and consequences of influence of each factor on its quality. The found knowledge is summarized in the proposal of the new external school evaluation. Conslusions are based on the results of inquiry of directors, founders and employees of Czech School Inspection of Liberec region, based on the results of the national project Road to Quality Improvement realized in the Czech Republic, as well as the conclusions are based on results of international teams interested in implementation of evalution of school systems, for example Organization for Economic Cooperation Development (OECD), McKinsey & Company and Standing Conference of Central and General Inspectorates of Education (SICI). The aim of this thesis it to find the scale of competences and responsibility of each subject in educational politics. It is focused on qualification of founders and drawing of consequences coming from all indentified aspects. Not only evaluators' assistance and support to schools, but as well the mutual coherence and cooperation of all participating objects are very important parts of the process improving the quality of schools. Evaluation of means spent on monitoring assesment (evaluation) quality of education in years 2005-2011 in Vysocina county

The thesis is focused on the selection of the best evaluation tool for Vysocina County Department of Education to facilitate the evaluation of the quality and level of education in this region. The work pays particular attention to the explanation of basic concepts related to the process of evaluation and further concepts associated with quality and quality management. Bachelor thesis identifies various methods of evaluation, and describes in detail the process autoevaluation. Subsequent analysis of secondary education in the Region evaluates and analysis of current evaluation tools leads to the most appropriate recommendations of the evaluation tool.

The Creation of a School Curriculum for preschool Education

The aim of my work is to confirm the benefits of the creation of the school curriculum and to improve the education in the particular kindergarten. The theoretical part contains a starting point of the current preschool education, the school curriculum and principles and progressive steps of the creation of the school curriculum. In the practical part a student checks the consecutive steps in her workplace. She qualifies the appropriateness of certain teamwork techniques which were recomended in the literature and describes a particular course of the creation and the program´s impact on education in the kindergarten. The final school curriculum for preschool education is a part of this work.
