Comparison of site preferences of 57Co at grain boundaries in Fe-Si and Fe-Al alloys
Schneeweiss, Oldřich ; Jirásková, Yvonna ; Čermák, Jiří ; Lejček, P.
Emission Moessbauer spectroscopy was applied to the study of grain boundaries in the polycrystalline samples of iron rich Fe-Al and Fe-Si alloys. The results obtained on Fe-Al samples indicate complicated phase and chemical composition along grain boundaries (GBs). Neither homogeneous increase in Al concentration at GBs nor important site preference of Co atoms is observed. A large fraction of Co atoms occupy positions of lower symmetry. The results on Fe-Si show differencies in the chemical composition in grain interiors (GIs) and at GBs. An increase in Si concentration at GBs is observed there. In Fe-! & at.%Si sample a strong site preference of cobalt atoms at GBs is detected. The diffusing Co atoms prefer the lattice sites, which are expected to be occupied by structural vacancies in the D03 superstructure.

Folklorism in Bohemian Architecture at the turn of the 19th and 20th Centuries
Fišerová, Hana ; Novotná, Eva (advisor) ; Rakušanová, Marie (referee)
Folklorism in Czech architecture at the turn of the 19th and 20th Century The bachelor thesis deals with the influence of folklore on architecture in the Czech Republic at the turn of 19th and 20th century. It describes the situation in Czech architecture at the end of the 19th century, when the new style Art Noveau appeared. The folkloric movement comes from Art Noveau but it has many other sources, such as the influence of Arts & Crafts or the process of national awareness in Bohemia. The thesis follows different approaches of Czech architects to this phenomenon. It also regards the reception of folkloric movement in the regional building. The thesis focuses on the area of Moravia, where we can see very strong relation to the folk culture. Moravia has also become the background for the formation of different artist associations. In my thesis I point out work of Dušan Jurkovič and Joža Uprka, who represented this phenomenon in painting. Klíčové pojmy: Czech Art Noveau, folk architecture, national awareness, Dušan Jurkovič, Moravian architecture Přibližný počet znaků: 81 200

Regional Development and EU Structural Funds Utilisation
Burešová, Simona ; Vrzáček, Petr (advisor) ; Skalický, Michael (referee)
This work provides information about the system of drawing financial means from EU structural funds at the turning point of two program periods. The theoretical part briefly describes the system of drawing financial means on the level of Czech Republic and subsequently on the level of Pardubice region. It projects the expected changes in the system of drawing financial means in the program period 2007- 2013 in comparison with the years 2004-2006. This theoretical fundament is important for understanding the continuity in the practical part. The practical part of the work describes the current situation in managing the projects financed from EU funds on the level of Pardubice region. It's main focus is the identification of strong and weak spots. Based on the findings of a qualitative research (focus group method) it provides a proposal for engaging the change process.

Geometric Brownian motion in Hilbert space
Bártek, Jan ; Beneš, Viktor (referee) ; Maslowski, Bohdan (advisor)
The present work describes the relation between solutions of a special kind of nonlinear stochastic partial differential equation with multiplicative noise, driven by fractional Brownian motion (fBm), and the solutions of deterministic version of this equation. Solution of the stochastic equation is given explicitly by means of solution to the deterministic equation and trajectories of fBm. The geometric fractional Brownian motion plays an important role here. The solutions are considered both in strong and weak sense. Stochastic integral wrt. fBm with Hurst index H can be defined in various ways. Here we consider a Stratonovich type integral for H > 1/2. The results obtained are used for the study of properties of solution of stochastic porous media equation - the expected value of total mass of the solution and the long-time behaviour of the solution.

Personnel marketing
Loudín, Tomáš ; Dvořáková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Kleibl, Jiří (referee)
Thesis "Personnel marketing" deals with the use of marketing approach in the management of human resources. The theoretical part is describing the role and growing importance of personnel marketing in the management of human resources. The practical part introduces all of the Big Four companies, including a description of their activities in the personnel marketing. Part of this work is formed by a survey of the attitudes and expectations of participants of the labour market in the form of a questionnaire. The survey results are analyzed from the perspective of students and graduates, as the target group of the Big Four as employers. Based on the analysis of attitudes of students and graduates recommendations for personnel marketing of the Big Four companies are suggested.

Corporate Performance Management Based on Business Intelligence
Křepinská, Veronika ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Zajíc, Ján (referee)
Nowadays, corporations run their business on dynamic markets with really harsh competition. If they want to survive, they need to manage their business effectively and increase corporate performance. Management is today highly supported by information and communication technologies that develop and bring new solutions and technologies continuously. One of these new solutions is Corporate Performance Management based on Business Intelligence technologies that enables complex and integrated view of business performance and its management. This thesis is devoted to this new developing approach in IS/ICT. Readers will become familiar with its basic principles, advantages, particular components and process of implementation. After this more theoretical part, follows the practical issue - realization of this solution for an existing organization in order to get expected results and effects. The solution is designed for a company that provides consulting and software development in Business Intelligence technologies. According to the cycle of CPM, firstly, a Performance Management method is chosen, after that the corporate strategy and concrete KPIs as they enhance the goals and strategy achievement. Afterwards data sources are identified and optimized as needed. On these data sources, all the visualization tools for Performance management are developed. In this case we are talking about interactive scorecards and dashboards. After this phase, the solution is ready for the developers to create it in the concrete application. In this case the Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server 2007.

Příspěvek k rakouské teorii hospodářského cyklu: Nejistota a cenová očekávání
Frömmel, Tomáš ; Ševčík, Miroslav (advisor) ; Potužák, Pavel (referee)
Common critique of the Austrian business cycle theory states that the Austrian cycle could not be initiated under the rational expectations hypothesis. This thesis therefore investigates the role of price expectations of entrepreneurs in the Austrian cycle theory. We conclude that this theory might be compatible with rational expectations only under several assumptions. The rational expectations hypothesis is, however, evaluated rather critically concluding it is quite strong and unrealistic assumption. Various regimes of monetary policy are discusses in the context of price expectations.

Growth hormone - IGF - 1 axis, it's regulation and function. Plasma ghrelin levels in certain pathologic states
Jarkovská, Zuzana ; Marek, Josef (advisor) ; Hainer, Vojtěch (referee) ; Mareš, Jan (referee)
Ghreliu is a peptide hormone with a strong stimulatory effect on growth hormone (GH) secretion. Ghrelin was origiu;i!íy isolated from the rat stomach as an endogenous secretagogue for the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHS-R). Although the fírst coinpoimds of the group of growth hormone seeretagogues were synthesized already in 1997, the isolation of the GHS-R and ghrelin is a matter of tlie last decade. Our study was aimed at the determination of the physiological role of endogenous ghrelin in GH secretion in certain pathological conditions and its associations with tlie GH/IGF-1 axis compounds. Our study was the first one detecíing also active ghrelin coucentrations. We assumed, that ghrelin secretion is aflected by the GH secretory statě. In patíents with acroinegaly we expected low ghrelin coucentrations (hypothesis 1) aud in patients with GHD we presuined, that ghrelin concentrations will be elevated (hypothesis 2) in comparison with healthy subjects as an effect of the negative feedback regulation by GH. Our findings however did not support tliese hypotheses, active and total ghrelin concentrations did not differ between patients and healthy controls. These data do not support an important role tor ghrelin in GH secretion in these conditions as well as the existence of a negative feedback...
