The present situation of public libraries in the region of South Bohemia

Diplomová práce pojednává o současném stavu veřejného knihovnictví v Jihočeském kraji. Cílem práce je podat přehled o současném stavu veřejných knihoven v kraji a analyzovat a zhodnotit činnost vybraných knihoven. V úvodu je stručná charakteristika vymezené oblasti, nastíněn zdejší vývoj knihoven a knihovnictví, ale také vývoj národnostního uspořádání, protože otázka vztahu soužití českého a německého obyvatelstva zde vždy hrála významnou roli a ovlivňovala rozvoj tohoto kraje. Poté následuje popis současného stavu veřejného knihovnictví z pohledu plnění regionálních funkcí a následně je rozebírána činnost pěti vybraných městských knihoven - dvou z vnitrozemí a tří z pohraničních regionů. U všech knihoven je pojednáno o jejich historii, jednotlivých odděleních a službách v nich poskytovaných a zajímavých akcích, které knihovny pořádají pro dětské i dospělé čtenáře, případně příklady zajímavé spolupráce knihovnen s ostatními kulturními, vzdělávacími a občanskými organizacemi. U knihoven z pohraničních regionů je ještě zmiňována jejich přeshraniční spolupráce s německými a hornorakouskými knihovnami. V analýze jednotlivých knihoven je převážně zohledňováno časové období posledních dvou až tří let. Scenic Designs of High Baroque in the National Collections of the Czech Republic

Scenic Designs of High Baroque in the National Collections of the Czech Republic The thesis deals with the Baroque scenic designs which are situated in public collections of the Czech Republic. These are mainly the works by Josef Hager and Josef Redlmayer, whose production was inspired by the Italian baroque scene designer Giuseppe Galli Bibiena. The aim of the thesis is to describe inspirational sources which influenced the artists and to comprehensively classify their production within the European context of the Baroque period. The diploma work also explains the history of Baroque theatres in Bohemia as well as in the whole Europe. It shows their connection with the pompous cellebrations so popular in Baroque period. The thesis also informs about the progress of Italian scenography and scenic designs with the explaination of stage decorations. The thesis is divided into five general chapters which show the local and time consequences. The first part brings the general introduction into the baroque theatre and baroque theatrality. Effectiveness of Breathing Retairing in Asthmatics

Name: Effectiveness of Breathing Retraining in Asthmatics Objectives: To assess the evidence for the efficacy of breathing retraining in the treatment of patients with asthma and to form and present a well-founded system of breathing and compensatory exercises with the utilization of expert literature and own knowledge. Methods: to fulfill the mentioned goal, I proceeded following tasks: 1. studying literature from different databases 2. looking in the books for the basic information about asthma 3. searching the web for the prevalence of asthma in different countries and in the world 4. analyzing the expertise offoreign countries 5. arranging a variety ofcorrect exercises Results: Dueto the small number of studies meeting the criteria for inclusion into this review, the small number ofpatients in the studies and the use of diverse interventions in the included studies, no reliable conclusions can be drawn as to the beneficial effects ofbreathing retraining in asthma. However with the introduction oftwo further studies trends for improvement in an increased number of outcomes were found. Litoměřice region - the garden of Bohemia: through Dolní Poohří region

The thesis deals with the state of the landscape of the Litoměřice region focusing on cultural and natural monuments of the Lower Ohře river area. The first part of the thesis is devoted to a brief description of the historical development and the present state of the culturallandscape of the Litoměřice region with a special emphasis on urbanization and the important places which have shaped this process, and an attempt at outlining the reasons of their being selected in the past. As the region in question is relatively large and very diverse, the second part of the thesis focuses in greater detail on the Lower Ohře river area and especially the premises of a remarkable cultural monument - the Doksany convent. The purpose of the thesis is not only to describe the present state of the landscape, but also to outline the possibilities of rehabilitation resulting from the conclusions reached, and also recommendations in relation to structure planning of the region. Using the available literature and other material, but also walking and cycling around the region, the author contemplates the possibilities of negotiating the unfortunate heritage of the second half of the 20th century and suggests measures that should - instead of being postponed - be accelerated in order to contribute to deeper revitalization of...

Enthroned Madonna from the Church of Our Lady of Tyn

This pies disserts on famous wood sculpture enthronend madonna from Church of Our Lady before Tyn in Prag comes from 15.centenary and about typology of enthronend madonnas from the beginning to the first half 15.centenary. The problem is the age determination of taynien madonna which comes from master of Tyn crucifixion workshop. There are two scholastic theory. The first one place the sculpture ago the 1420 and the second one to the end of thirtieth years 15. centenary. In terms of study specials literatures I am inclined to the seconde theory, which is preferred by the younger group of researchers. I employ myself in complicated period of Hussitism in Bohemia, in theological thought especially about theological views to artefakt. I use also formal analyse and iconography. The second part contains the development enthronend madonnas with set to the sculpture production on the Occident.

The implementation of folksonomy into user interfaces of information and library systems, presented upon an example of the project of Uniform Information Gateway of the Czech Republic

This thesis introduces two core principles of Web 2.0 - folksonomy and social tagging, as new and alternative means of subject classification, their current applications and potential within information and library systems. Such principles bring up powerful extensions to current subject classification and information retrieval practices. Furthermore it brings up much more enhanced user-friendly interface and retrieval engine efficiency and effectiveness. The particular concept is based on the implementation of these principles into Uniform Information Gateway, one of the most important scientific information resources in the Czech Republic. However the architecture of the system is very unique in compare to common online library catalogues it does not restrict the potential of the implementation of folksonomy and tagging. The intended feature is to introduce secondary parallel subject classification system, which does not limit the current classification practices, and brings up new added value in terms of terminology evolution and users' needs observation. Besides the Uniform Information Gateway, there are many more alternatives with the potential of the implementation of folksonomy tagging, e.g. subject information gateways as parts of the Uniform Information Gateway project, or university information systems.

It focuses mainly on regional meals, major food industry companies in the region and on local gastronomic events. The final part tries to analyze the offer of regional gastronomy and the awareness of local inhabitants about South Bohemia cuisine.

To královna Konstancie se stala matkou významné světice Anežky České, k níž i v roce 2010 obrací svou pozornost mnoho občanů České republiky, neboť s obnoveným výzkumem, který nedávno proběhl v pražském kostele sv. System - Stigmatization of Psychically Disordered

Rigorous thesis "System - Stigmatization of Psychically Disordered" aims the analysis of the system - stigmatization after the year 1989. As a part of the research tasks some fields related to the psychiatrical treatment/care reform in Czech Republic are discussed. Among the most important fields of disputation lie the general prerequisites of the system - stigmatization sequencing the present system of the treatment/care, the principles of the persisting psychiatrical treatment/care system that emphasizes psychiatrical institutions such as mental homes or the specific interests and acts of the people involved in compared to declared sponsions that were published in the strategical documents. As a solution by the working the problem out the people involved analysis, analysis of the legal frame and relevant strategical documents analysis. The koncept System - stigmatization is, for the purpose of that thesis, understood as an origin and a development of the stigmatization - mechanism that originated in the system of psychiatrical treatment/care and psychiatric institutions. Gottfried Daniel Wunschvitz's collection in the context of genealogical and heraldical studies in the first half of 18th century (Study of the fond and its usage analysis)

The main theme of the thesis is the analysis of the genealogical and heraldical collection of Gottfried Daniel Wunschwitz (1678-1741). It is the important set of information conceming more than 1400 noble houses. These house s (more as well as less important, contemporaneous as well as extinct, knights as well as prince s) are presented by many types of materials - from common used genealogical diagrams, through voluminous collection of correspondence and excerpts from newspaper, to paper hatchements and sketches of tomb stones. Some of the most characteristic materials are presented in the thesis through the catalogues and editions. The thesi s contains also several chapters dealing with history of the Wunschwitz house, of the history of the genealogical work in Bohemia (till 18th century) and the comparative synopsis conceming another genealogical collections originated in Bohemia from 18th till 20th century.
