EU energy alternative: renewable energy sources (photovoltaics)
Turek, Ondřej ; Vošta, Milan (advisor) ; Kašpar, Václav (referee)
Diploma thesis deals with current priorities of energy policy within EU region, where is a substantial emphasis placed on exploitation of renewable energy sources (RES). There is mentioned historical development in the first part as well as an actual approach to energy policy by EU. Further is evaluated exploitation of RES and their proprotion on electricity generation. I also provide analysis whether current energy objectives can be met. In the last part I deal with photovoltaic industry both in EU and Czechia. Energy extraction from sunshine is currently the most growing field industry all over the world and especially in EU.
The economy of renewable resources with orientation on photovoltaic power plants
Kollerová, Ivona ; Vošta, Milan (advisor) ; Němeček, Petr (referee)
The thesis deals with renewable resources, their history, development and support with special emphases on photovoltaics. The thesis turns to particular selected states, where the level and forms of support of renewables are analysed, again with emphases on photovoltaics. The thesis contains a chapter dealing with the support of photovoltaics in the Czech Republic, to which refers the applied part of the thesis -- the build-up of photovoltaic power plant in the Czech Republic in year 2008 in comparison with the one realised in 2010 from the cost-profit point of view.
Renewable energy sources and their exploitation for prosperity of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs)
Morovics, Martin ; Srpová, Jitka (advisor) ; Skopal, Pavel (referee)
The aim of the thesis was to examine the basic technical and technological requirements of photovoltaic technology in terms of economic characteristics, analyze the current situation in the use of renewable energy sources, especially photovoltaics in the Czech Republic with comparing to the world's situation. The thesis also provides an overview of laws and legal norms applicable in the Czech Republic and the European Union with regard to photovoltaics. The crucial part is dedicated to investment evaluation of the renewable energy (photovoltaic) projects. The author supports presented ideas with a comprehensive investment analysis of a specific rooftop photovoltaic project realized by medium sized company. In addition to evaluation process the investment recommendation is provided and the most significant risk factors of the project are identified. The conclusion of this thesis includes a single-factor sensitivity analysis of a net present value of the project.
Renewable resources, specialised on Photovoltaics in conditions of the European Union
Svobodová, Jitka ; Bič, Josef (advisor) ; Vondrušková, Barbora (referee)
I intend to describe the evolution of access to renewable resources (especially photovoltaics) from the perspective of the European Union, the Czech Republic and the energy mix. The purpose of the first chapter is to describe the important historical milestones of European legislation which applies to renewable resources and to set the most important events that have pushed the European energy policy towards renewable resources. Part of this chapter will be devoted to the evaluation reports of the EU Commission, that determine the rate of progress of member countries according to applicable directives. In the second chapter I will focus on the comparison of most used types of power plants, describe their advantages and disadvantages regarding to the environment, pollution, economic, and electricity prices. Attention will be paid to conventional fuels (oil, natural gas, coal) and also renewable resources (wind, hydro, biomass and photovoltaics), and at last nuclear energy. The third chapter will focus on the Czech Republic, the development of its energy policy and especially on the situation created by legislative changes in 2010, its direct and indirect impact, and eventual development in the future.
"Large" amendment to the Act on the promotion of electricity production from renewable energy sources and its impact on practice
Tzenkov, Ivan ; Štěpánek, Petr (advisor) ; Černý, Pavel (referee)
This Bachelor Degree Final Paper deals with the legal support of the development of renewable energy sources in the Czech Republic especially in view of the solar industry. The text includes an overview of basic legal norms of the area before and after the Czech Republic's accession to the European Union, relationship of legislation to unleashing a solar revolution and the impacts of the situation on business conditions in the industry. Next part is devoted to the amendment of the fundamental statute remedying the unstable situation, as well as to the new prepared statute, which will integrate the area of renewable energy sources into a single piece of legislation. The conclusion examines the impacts of legislative changes on the owners of solar power plants and also considers the investment opportunities for persons interested in photovoltaics.
Solar Boom in the Czech republic, Economical Contexts and Effects on Nature
Votavová, Martina ; Kouba, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Šulcová, Irena (referee)
The diploma thesis "Solar Boom in the Czech republic, Economical Contexts and Effects on Nature" is focused on a big raise of number of photovoltaics in Czech republic in last two years. This work informs about the present state of the use of solar energy in the Czech Republic, about the government interventions, about the economic and geographic conditions of solar energy in our republic. Diploma also analysis causes of solar boom and its effects on investors, on final customers and also on nature in case of land -- use planning. The end is dedicated to a case study of an exact plant (of its construction in the Czech republic). The main purpose of this study is to summarize economical and investment indicators and to introduce topic of the project of photovoltaics.
Legislative and Economic Problems of Solar Energetics in the Czech Republic
Knězů, Kristýna ; Hadrabová, Alena (advisor) ; Dvořák, Antonín (referee)
This work discusses the development of solar energy exploitation in Czech republic and partially in Germany. It contains basic definitions of terms in the area of renewable energy sources, such as solar energy, fotovoltaic powrplants etc. In next part it describes development of solar systems in Czech republic and birth of legislation that regulates it. The main part of the work analyzes status quo of solar systems in Czech republic, especially in relation to continuous development of legislative environment. Equal attention is paid to solar energy evolution in Germany and its simmilarities with Czech environment. Based on these findings potential trends are outlined.
