Cannabis drugs among students of Prague medical faculties: prevalence of use and related risk behaviour

Objectives : The main goal of this work is to find out prevalence of use cannabis drugs among students of medical faculties in Prague and also find out a relationship between cannabis drugs abuse and risk behaviour. Sample : The research sample consisted of 686 medical students First, Second and Third faculty of Medecine of Charles University in Prague. The main criterium for entry into the research was that students had to be enrolled in first through fifth year of medicine. Students of medicine sixth grade were excluded from research because of their limited time schedule, which related to their studies. Methods : Research was provided by quantitative methods - questionnaire, which was structured and anonymous Results : It was found that lifetime prevalence of cannabis use among medical students compared with the earlier results of different studies significantly increased. The prevalence of cannabis use over the past 12 months was higher in men than in women. It was confirmed that men on average achieve higher scores on the CAST questionnaire, which maps the risk behavior regarding the use of cannabis. Evaluation of leaflet campaign about internet-based prevention targeted on parents of elementary schools students in Prague 15 city district

My bachelor's work engages in finding out the level of interest of parents of elemntary school childern in the Prague 15 city district about internet-based prevention. This web contained program Prevention Smart Parents which incuded 10 chapters with infromation about prevention and how to applicate this information in daily life. In the theoretic part I clarify terms which are connected with the name of the work mainly therms like primary prevention, risk behaviour and evaluation. This part contains also information about prevention in schools, prevention in families and preventive programs for parents. The main goal of whole work was to find the effectiveness of whole campaign which was realized at schools in Prague 15 city district. The secondary goal was to find the level of interest of parents in preventive website. The research was made thanks to questionnaires. As the most important result of whole work I consider detection of effectiveness of campaign. This effectiveness was very low- according to answers in questionnaires only 17 % of parents visited the website. And according to counter on website it was only 5 %. Leisure time activities as a prevention of social undesirable phenomenon

The work is focused on leisure time of youth and the risks associated with its use of poor quality. The first part deals with definitions, functions, environment that affect free time. Further notes on the developmental characteristics of adolescence, lifestyle and quality of life as the highest human value. Emphasis is placed on the importance of social prevention of youth risk behavior. The practical part describes leisure opportunities in a specific location - Prague 14 - Cerný Most.

The analysis of the primary prevention programmes in Liberec region

Topic of my thesis covers the analysis of programmes, related to primary prevention within the Liberec region. Theoretical part of my thesis comprises the identification of basic terms that are related to the development of socio-pathological phenomena and risk behaviour of children and youth. Furthermore, the thesis depicts the prevention system, which is focused on primary prevention of the risk behaviour. An important part of the thesis is the primary prevention as a part of the upbringing process. The theoretical part of my thesis ends with a chapter that is dealing with the community planning process of villages. By means of an empiric investigation, practical part of the thesis analyses the situation within the primary prevention at elementary schools, information on the number of providers and programmes for primary prevention are investigated in the thesis as well. Another important output lies within the needs and attitudes of the villages in the given region.

Internet social networks as a part of the system social relations among school age children

This thesis deals with the social networks, especially on social network Facebook. It surveys the basic principles of Facebook and points to the risks arising from the use of social networks and disruptive behavior on the Internet. The work is a treatise on the prevention of cyberbullying and safe behavior on the Internet. In the empirical part, through a questionnaire survey, it examines the risk behavior of students at the second stage of two primary schools in Prague, in relation to life satisfaction. The empirical part also determines life satisfaction associated with the object and method of communication on Facebook. Measurement of using alcohol among adolescents and its causes

Bachelor thesis "Measuring alcohol consumption among adolescents and its causes" deals with creation of a methodological tool that will reliably and efficiently measure the risk and harmful behavior of young people committed during consumption of alcoholic beverages - and therewithal pointing out the causes of this behavior. This is achieved by a synthesis of theoretical sources, dealing with alcohol abuse in adolescents and the factors that influence such behavior, preceded it or stimulate it. There is also used some foreign studies which were conducted on similar topics and the results are incorporated into this work and builds on them in sub-sections or socialization dimensions. Finally, this work is also inspired by some of international methodological tools created specifically to measure the behavior associated with the alcohol and allow a respondent self-reflection. Completed methodological tool is tested first at piloting and pilot interviews with respondents, followed by pilot probe conducted on a larger sample of the target population, and according to them is further adjusted in terms of reliability and validity to the final form, which should already be fully usable in a practical research and investigation testify about the specific causes of socialization that influence or give rise...

TITLE: Motherhood of Under Age Girls AUTHOR: Pavla Skasková DEPARTMENT: Department of Psychology SUPERVISOR: PhDr. PaedDr. Anna Kucharská, Ph.D. The dissertation is focused on phenomenon of motherhood in adolescence. In the Czech Republic nearly one thousand children are given birth every year by mothers who according to current law are not full-aged. A very similar number of teenage girls decide for abortion. The study searches for answers to broad varieties of particular research questions. Qualitatively directed research outcomes reflect motives involved in young women's final decisions to become an under-age mother, the determinants of the decision making process in the context of sexual reproductive health. They watch as the participants prepare for the role of mother, what helped them solve the situation and what is it difficult to evaluate their experience and maternity and parental competence. The work focuses on the reflected experience of the new role in the self, and the identity of teenage mothers. College students and hazardous behavior in relation to addictive substances

The work deals with the relationship of a young man to drug addictions, what high school student is the term "addiction" and "drug", or coming into contact with drugs, and so as to be able to resolve the issue and how to cope with it. At first I was writing about risky behavior in different areas of life factors, and not least addictive drugs, and dividing their effects on the body. In the second part, I analyzed the questionnaire focused on the relationship young people to drug addictions and to compare students with medical and paramedical focus. The last part is devoted to various proposals for improving the prevention against drugs and the end of the dissertation.

Risky Behaviour of Injecting Drug Users in Prison Settings

Risky behaviour in prison is very frequently international theme in last twenty years. Epidemic situation in some foreign prisons, which involved IDU too, asked for details studies and introduction certain measure. There are missing quality researches and good knowledge about this area in czech setting. The goal of my bachelor work is to probe into this problem. I want to find out the information about incarcerated persons, especially if they show some types of risky behaviours and if duration of the punishment and using patterns before incarceration influence these behaviours. I use a method of a quantitative research, the questionnaires. My research was realized in 2010 between active drug users released from prison. There are 22 respondents in my research so it is not possible to generalize acquired data. I recommend next continuing in this study, especially linking-up with more institutions and raise funds for extensive study.

The theme of this thesis is to assess the behavior while using the public communication network Facebook. The number of users of social networks increases, as well as number of photographs, videos and other input that is stored on the Internet. Particularly, young people try to maintain or further develop their contacts by this way. Perhaps it is a new type of social convergence, which is more or less based on voyeurism, or just an expression of self- realization. In any case this behavior impacts shaping the social relationships of networking users and their free time in a real life. Through a research of Facebook users, this work is looking for uncovering the thinking process of people when publishing private matters via the Internet. Its main goal is to explore the usage of Facebook, depending on the knowledge of its surround. First of all, it is interested in users' network settings experience. Because the adjustment of Privacy Policy may prevent risk of misuse of the social networking, which may lead to disruption of the privacy of all users involved.
