A comparison of stressors between high school students in the Czech Republic and Vietnam

This bachelor thesis deals with the problem of students' stress in high schools, specifically in the Czech Republic and Vietnam. The aim of this thesis is to find out the factors that students consider stressful in two different cultures. The thesis consists of three main parts. The theoretical part is initially focused on stress in general terms. Some important terms such as stress, stressors, symptoms of stress and effects of stress on a human body are defined. Then it devotes various ways how to prevent stress. Further the culture dimension by Geert Hofstede will be briefly mentioned. The methodological part presents the aim of the thesis, describes sample of respondents and the methods of data collection. In the practical part the results from both countries will be compared on the basis of a survey questionnaire, including explanation of differences by intercultural factors.
Stress Management in Conference Interpreting

The present thesis focuses on stress management in conference interpreting. It explains the biological purpose of stress, stressors - aspects inducing a stress reaction, and the physiological, behavioral, emotional and cognitive symptoms and effects. Special attention is paid to occupational stress, namely in relation to interpreting, to the requirements on an interpreter's personality, and to stressors interpreters generally face. The thesis presents a detailed dscription of stress management- and coping styles, strategies and techniques. The empirical part explores the positive and negative expectations of interpreting students in the earliest stage of their studies in terms of stress, and aims at discovering whether students of interpreting as well as professional interpreters consider interpreting a stressful activity, whether they feel that stress management- and coping strategies and techniques should constitute an integral part of interpreter training, and whether this is or is not the case. The research concerned university institutes and departments of selected universities in the Czech Republic and abroad. Teacher beginner. Factors leaving education

The final work is focused on the beginning teachers and analyses factors of their leaving from this profession. The bachelor work is divided into the theoretical and the practical - research part. The theoretical part deals with a personality of teachers and basic stressors, which make their work more difficult and which can be one of the reasons of resignation. In the practical part author used the questionnaire to find the rate of the stressful situation for the beginning teachers and the role of the trainee teachers. Except summery of the questionnaire results author tried to suggest solution how to prevent or ease the stressful situations, which are affecting negatively the teaching profession. The work is based on the literature listed at the end and on the questionnaire survey, which was performed with 40 respondents.

This bachelor work examines stress factors and effects of stress on work performance of employees in a chosen company. The specific company sells products through phone calls. First was the need to explore the literary basis for the themes that dealt with stress, stressors, stress management at work etc. This information formed the basis for the creation of a questionnaire that was available to employees in a small company with 30 employees. This questionnaire was filled out by 20 respondents and the results were used to precisely analyze the situation that was required to propose solutions for executives. The solutions are in the end of this work.

My bachelor´s thesis will be on the subject of stress. During this theoretical overview I will first deal with the characterization and definition of the concept of stress and it´s effects. I will then describe each stage the symptoms and effects of stress. In my work I will also address the question of whether stress is harmfull and how it can be damaging to our health, specifically the harmfull effects and how to prevent them.This will lead me to conclude which disease is the most commonly associated with stress. A crucial part of my bachelor thesis is devoted to strategies and procedures, how to cope with stress, manage it and especially how to prevent it

The thesis deals with load, stress and related questions of the working life. Work-related stress brings numerous difficulties not only to affected individuals, but as a result also to organizations. The thesis follows symptoms, impacts, somatic and mental aspects of stress, its types and also types of stressors, which cause this problem. It is concentrated on workload as a specific area of work-related stress, individual resistance to the load, factors of workload and work-related stress and also on coping with problematic situations. The specific topic related to the stress is burnout syndrome. The thesis describes its formation and development, its causes, symptoms in three main levels - mental, physical and level of social relations and then influence of important factors such as personality and work conditions. It is also focused on professions endangered by burnout syndrome and its prevention.
