The methodology formulates a procedure for assessing the risks of the occurrence and spread of natural fires in the immediate vicinity of surface sources of drinking water. The methodology\nproposes methods for estimating the consequences of natural fires on surface water quality, forecasting the change in the risk of fires due to climate change and the procedure for determining the risk of secondary pollution of reservoirs due to changes in run off after a natural fire. On this basis, the methodology proposes and diversifies preventíve and operational measures. The measures were designed in connection to modeling results for the Hadce pilot síte near the Švihov reservoir and the experience with the adverse effects of extensive deforestation on the water quality in the Vranov and Vír reservoirs.
Training safety in mountaineous environment in the conditions of the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic
Hanák, Radek ; Michalička, Vladimír (advisor) ; Mašek, Michal (referee)
Title: Training safety in mountaineous environment in the conditions of the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic Objectives: The bachelor thesis aims to assess the level of training safety in the mountain environment under the conditions of the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic. The safety level is determined at the theoretical level according to the safety provisions treated by laws, standards, and regulations. The thesis also focuses on describing the current state of training execution in mountain terrain regarding safety measures. The current state of training execution is evaluated by comparing basic standards and their specific incorporation into standards, guidelines and other training documentation, with particular attention paid to the departmental training conditions within the armed forces of the Czech Republic. Finally, similar foreign documentation is analyzed and compared. Methods: The thesis is primarily based on reviewing laws, regulations, and other obligations mandatory for conducting training in the mountain environment. Results: It was found that general documentation valid for the entire structure of the Czech Armed Forces and specific documentation of selected specialties respect the basic legal standards approved by the Parliament or the Government of the Czech...
Design of the IoT weather station
Pala, Andrej ; Čech, Ondřej (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
A reader of this thesis is introduced into basic think about Internet of Things initiation, is informed about elementary meteorologic terminology, about meteorologic units and about their processing. The reader will also read about possible variant of IoT weather station design solution including hardware and software outputs, including guidelines and descriptions related to the design and including final summary of the problematics.
Meteorological station system
Čada, Jan ; Balík, Miroslav (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design and implementation of a online meteorological station system, which consists of individual weather stations that communicate via the Internet with the server. The first part of the thesis discusses the principles of measuring major meteorological variables and deals with the selection of suitable sensors for measuring temperature, atmospheric pressure, humidity, wind speed and rainfall. In the practical part, one of the weather stations based on Raspberry Pi Zero microcomputer is designed and realized. As a complement to the measured data, the station includes a camera that captures the view from the site where the meteostation is installed. 3D printing is used to realize most of the mechanical parts, it has the advantage of speed, accuracy and easy reproducibility. For the measurement of temperature, pressure and humidity, a combined sensor BME280 from Bosch is used, which is placed in a small Stevenson screen. The wind speed is measured by a cup anemometer whose rotation is sensed by an integrated Hall sensor. The output pulses are then counted using the PCF8583 circuit, which has an I2C interface for reading the values with a Raspberry Pi microcomputer. Special attention is paid to the construction of a custom calibratable tipping bucket rain gauge with a resolution of 0,5 mm, whose mechanical motion is also sensed by a Hall sensor as in the anemometer. The reading of the data from sensors and sending it to the server is handled by a Python script. For storing and presenting data to users, a custom server solution based on LAMP webserver is implemented, its source codes are written in PHP, HTML, JavaScript and CSS. In addition to the web interface, which displays the data in graphs, the measured data can be also presented to the user via an application for mobile devices based on Android. The application was developed in C# using the Xamarin framework in the Microsoft Visual Studio development environment. Among other things, it implements a widget for quick access to the measured values directly from the home screen. In the final part of the thesis, interesting findings obtained by observing the measured values are mentioned.
Use of meteorology and historical comparisons atmospheric conditions for yachting and water sports
Hájek, Petr ; Jindra, Matouš (advisor) ; Dvorský, Jaroslav (referee)
Title: Use of meteorology and historicalcomparisons atmospheric conditions for yachting and water. Objectives: At work I use two basic methods of research. The method of content analysis and interview. Content analysis, I get the information for the theoretical part of the work, using professional sailing and meteorological publications. Furthermore, the method of non-standardized interview, which I took while visiting Mathematics - Physics Faculty at Charles University, Department of Meteorology and Climatology. Here I have discussed his work with Dr.. Joseph Brechler, PhD. Furthermore, with top windsurfing in the Black foothills and Nechranické dam. Methods: At work I used as a basic research methods method of content analysis and interview. Content analysis, I gained information for the theoretical part, the professional sailing and meteorological publications that deal with the issue. Non-standardized interview method I used when visiting Mathematics - Physics Faculty at Charles University, Department of Meteorology and Climatology. Here I discuss my work with Dr.. Joseph Brechler, PhD., Then Ing. Ružbatský in the foothills of the Black and F.Kasík of Nechranice. For wider acquaintance with the issues I was trying to get other sources of information on various internet portals related to...
Platform for Measurement of Atmospheric Quantities
Hanák, Jiří ; Vlk, Jan (referee) ; Chudý, Peter (advisor)
This work is dealing with the design and implementation of an embedded system for aerology measuring. The aim of the system is to monitor atmospheric states during an ascent in the suspension under an meteorological balloon.   First of all, attention is given to the Earth's atmosphere and its quantities, then an overview of existing systems for performing aerological measurements. The core of the work is focused on the choice of measurement techniques and the selection of suitable measuring elements for a given scenario. The aerological probe is using atmospheric sensors HIH-8131-021-001, MS5611-01BA03 and PT1000-550 for temperature sensing, while GNSS data is received using the MAX-M8Q-0 module and the measured data is stored on a microSD card and transmitted in parallel using the MTX2-434.650-10 radio module. The system is controlled by STM32L1 from STMicroelectronics programmed in C using  HAL abstraction layer.
Volumetric Clouds
Barvíř, Marek ; Matýšek, Michal (referee) ; Starka, Tomáš (advisor)
This master thesis deals with creation of library for volumetric clouds. The paper describes specific techniques for creation and rendering volumetric clouds as clouds and atmospheric scattering. For rendering this type of effects we have to cover theory for participating media.
Description of basic meteorological principles and measuring instruments
Klusáček, Ondřej ; Klimeš, Lubomír (referee) ; Prinz, František (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the description of basic meteorological principles and their impact on everyday life. There is a brief description of the atmosphere and then detailed description of basic quantities and individual principles taking place in the atmosphere. In the end of this thesis is given measuring instruments for each quantity.

Emo Weather
Drštičková, Hana ; Šlesingerová,, Eva (referee) ; Sterec, Pavel (advisor)
The artwork was created by linking two thematic areas, mental health and atmospheric phenomena aka weather. I am examining forms of alienation and emotional numbness, which I follow by thematizing the isolation of people from the external environment and manifestations of local weather. I touch upon the topics of current weather representations, such as meteorological satellite images, and last but not least, I contemplate the fact of climate crisis. The work takes the form of a 100-minute long video, a set of 21 paintings by aniline colors on paper, sound track played in a loop and additional literature, texts and sketches available for public.
