Motivation of parents in choosing alternative nursery schools - Maria Montessori

The aim of this bachelor thesis entitled: "Motivation of parents in choosing alternative kindergartens - Maria Montessori" is to describe and analyze in more detail the reform pedagogy of Maria Montessori, the development of preschool Montessori facilities in the Czech Republic and comparison with traditional kindergartens. It also aims to present the specific use of the principles of Montessori pedagogy in the selected facility and outline other alternative pedagogical directions. The empirical part uses the research method of interviewing parents in Montessori kindergarten. The interview is purely anonymous and the aim is to find out for what purpose they put their children in the kindergarten, what they expect from it and if they apply Montessori pedagogy outside it. The bachelor's thesis refers to the official assignment of the management of the school Na Radosti in Žďár nad Sázavou. It is a democratic school where the teaching system is based on freedom of decision and non-archiving of individuals in the community. This school is now located in various locations in the city and needs a new quality space that meets current requirements and standards. The school with a capacity of about 100 pupils should create a pleasant space for teaching and support concentration. The demarcated plot of land directly encourages the direct connection of the school with nature, which is also required by the given system of teaching, as the teaching is also distributed to the outdoor areas.

The final bachelor's thesis responds to the request of the management of the Na Radosti school in Žďár nad Sázavou to design a new building for a democratic school. Due to the unsatisfactory current situation, where the school is located in several places in the town, it needs a new suitable space corresponding to their specific requirements and needs. A democratic school is a system of teaching based on the free choice of the individual. The new school, with a capacity of approximately 100 pupils, is to create a suitable space for learning, play and sport. Thanks to the designated land, it will also offer a connection to the landscape and create a creative and learning environment within it.
Comparison of the integration proces of children at common primary schools and at schools with programme Step by Step

The aim of the thesis is to describe in great detail the process and organization of integration (inclusion) of common primary school children and those of primary schools with the educational programme Step by Step. The focus of the thesis is to put these two school types side by side and compare their attempt to the issue. The results should work as an help for parents' to choose the right institution necessary for the elementary education of their children suffering from any kind of handicap, they should help also the educators searching for many initiatives to integrate all the pupils to a group. Another important output of the thesis is to find out the level of primary school teachers awareness with the process of the pupils' integration.
Role of teaching assistant at primary school with Montessori program

This bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of the role of teacher assistant in a primary school classroom with Montessori program, focusing on the inclusion of pupils with special educational needs and on the position of a teacher assistant in Montessori learning environment. We defined the education of pupils with special educational needs, including the most frequent diagnoses we encounter during the research. The whole paper is grounded in the legislation of the Czech Republic in the field of primary education. The paper also describes alternative education and its most common varieties and includes the characteristics of the education following Maria Montessori philosophy. This part is dedicated to the principles of the Montessori method, to the role of a Montessori teacher, to the characteristics of the classroom environment as well as to the teaching organisation, including teaching forms and methods. The object of this research was to find out about the current situation in educating pupils with special educational needs and in their support in the alternative classroom environment.
