Cooperation of teachers on small school with composite classes: case study

v anglickém jazyce ABSTRACT This thesis aims to analyze and describe how the cooperation of pedagogical workers in selected a Little Class School, how cooperation works in practice. The theoretical part deals mainly with characteristic of Little Class school in the Czech republic, further focuses on teacher's personality, on the school climate and its environment where pedagogical employees work together. In the last chapter of theoretical part, cooperation as a topic is mentioned. It defines the basic concepts that are related to cooperation between educators. These concepts include Little Class school, teacher personality, professional development, climate and school environment, cooperation. In the theoretical part, cooperation between teacher and teaching assistant is also mentioned. The empirical part of the thesis contains a case study of a selected a Little Class school and how the cooperation takes place at this school. In the diploma thesis, these collection methods were used: observation, interview and questionnaire. Following is an analysis of the data collected and an assessment of the situation. The atmosphere of school in the context of pupils with different mother tongue

This diploma thesis deals with the school climate in the context of pupils with different mother tongues and the process of integrating pupils with different mother tongues into the school. The practical research examines a specific Prague primary school, which is attended by a large number of pupils with different mother tongues, and the school has therefore long-term been involved in the integration and education of pupils with different mother tongues. The aim of the thesis is to describe the process of integration and to monitor the support in education and adaptation of pupils with different mother tongues. The aim of the thesis is to find out what help is beneficial for these pupils and also to find out what is the view of teachers, parents and pupils of a specific school on the presence of pupils with different mother tongues in the school. The empirical part of the work uses methods of quantitative and qualitative research. The research was conducted using the interview method with the coordinator of pupils with different mother tongues and selected pupils with different mother tongues. The job of child educators in Czech day-care centres in terms of accountability

Marie-Anna Bitnerová The bachelor thesis Summer semester 2021 The bachelor thesis is concerned with the present situation of Czech pre-school care for children from one to three years of age. The research focuses on the job of child educators in Czech children's day-care centres and on their relationships with other participants in such organisations (parents, colleagues, superiors and children). This phenomenon is described using the concept of accountability, which means responsibility for performed services (social connection between two participants, where one participant accounts for his/her services to the other) and through one's own moral responsibility felt towards other participants while working. The research was carried out using five in-depth interviews with child educators of five Prague-based day-care centres. Based on that data set it appeared that child educators seem to feel most accountable for their services towards the children's parents and most morally accountable towards the children themselves. Care about climate of classes at primary school

The diploma thesis assesses the effectiveness of selected forms of care for classroom climate. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with class and school climate and explains what factors influence them positively. It describes the risky periods and situations at the primary school, in which the pupil's adaptation problems may occur. Shows adaptation programs as a form of care classroom climate. The practical part investigates how two concrete schools react to risk periods and situations at the primary school and how do they try to prevent adaptation problems. It also includes the action research on the process of creation, implementation and reflection of adaptation stays for pupils of the third and first year of primary school. It presents the observation of two adaptation programs in two different primary schools. In interviews with teachers from both primary schools surveyed summarizes how teachers perceive the impact of climate adaptation programs in classrooms. It deals with activities in adaptation programs that focus on cooperation between pupils. At the end of the practical part there are methodological instructions for the preparation of adaptation programs for beginning teachers. Development of prosocial behavior in kindergarten through reading preliteracy activities

The diploma work is focused on the development of prosocial behaviour in a kindergarten by means of reader's preliteracy. The theoretical part clarifies the terms related to the issues of the development of prosocial behaviour in a kindergarten, reader's literacy and preliterasy. It as well briefly describes the differences between heterogeneous and homogenous structure of the classroom in a kindergarten arranged according to the age and deals with the kindergarten as well as the classroom climate. The aim of the practical part was to describe in what matter the particular kindergarten develops pro-social behaviour of children with the support of reader's preliteracy. During the whole school year there were particular activities established and consequently implemented into an age-heterogeneous classroom located in a one-classroom kindergarten and upon consequent reflexion and feedback the activities were further provided with a possibility to work further with a given activity. To gain the reflexion and feedback the methods of interviews, monitoring and self-reflexion were used. Prevention of bullying in elementary schools through personal and social education

This thesis is focused on the prevention of bullying through personality and social education courses Projekt Odyssea in elementary school. The goal of this work is to determine how pupils, educators and school leaders perceive the courses Projekt Odyssea and whether preventive courses have impact on collectives of individual classes. Data was obtained from interviews with pupils, teachers, school management and the questionnaire survey with pupils. Questionnaires detect the climate of individual classes, relationships between pupils in the classroom, or how students perceive community circles and classes Projekt Odyssea. The results of the research show a positive effect of classesProjekt Odyssea on the personality and social development of pupils. The effect of courses of personality and social education positively promotes good relationships between pupils themselves, between pupils and teachers and this is benefit to the overall school climate.
Attitudes to Society and School of Students in Secondary Vocational Schools

The thesis focuses on the issue of civic attitudes adopted by students of vocational schools. The author presents an overview of previous Czech research which shows that students of vocational schools are placed at the bottom of international surveys inquiring civic and political knowledge. Moreover, the results reveal that the students of vocational schools express their support for democracy as a way of government the least. The goal of the thesis is to describe civic and political opinions of concrete students and show who influences them and how. It is designed as a multiple case study. Six students of vocational schools from Prague, a smaller town and a village in Central Bohemian Region were chosen to participate in the study. The core of the work is the description of the individual cases in a detailed context including their family, community, school and friends. The findings indicate that the studied students are usually not interested in politics. Their political beliefs are heavily formed by their family and peers. School as an institution does not have any influence, not even through civic education which is compulsory during the first years of high school education. SCHOOL CLIMATE: A QUALITATIVE STUDY OF ONE SELECTED SCHOOL

This thesis deals with the psychosocial climate of the school environment, especially the possibilities of its exploration. The work presents important sources of qualitative sociological research with a focus on the ethnographic approach in the first part. The first part follows the research report from the conducted research on the psychosocial climate of the elementary school in Nová Bystřice. The conclusion of the thesis concerns the recommendations for the school based on the identified characteristics. Completed school climate surveys mainly use qualitative data collection methods. This thesis uses qualitative methods and tries to show that such research methods are suitable for schools climate research.
Family and school cooperation

The diploma thesis deals with the mutual cooperation of the family and the special elementary school. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part I deal with family and school cooperation, defining the concept of family, its functions and duties. The second chapter of this part consists of education of pupils with mental retardation. Here I'm going to explain the term of mental retardation, the causes of its origin, the dividing and the characteristics of the special elementary school. The last chapter of the theoretical part presents the model of the school holding the "Parents welcome" certificate. In the practical part I deal with specific research of family cooperation and special elementary school in Čáslav. The research is conducted through questionnaires and interviews. Also, I compare the requirements for awarding the "Parents welcome" brand to the forms of collaboration of a particular school. I'll find out if the Special School in Čáslav meets these criteria.
