Kubátová, Monika ; Kašpar, Ladislav (advisor) ; Přibyl, Ivan (referee)
Title: Accomplishments of our cross-country skiing at the Winter Olympic Games Abstract: This thesis is focus on history of Czech and Czechoslovak cross-counrty skiing at the Winter Olympic Games from the first competition at WOG Chamonix 1924 to Vancouver 2010. Using the direct method and the method of content analysis it documents and summarizes the accomplishments of our cross-country representatives. It finds out that representatives of such a small country reached splendid results. But the available literature doesn't mention them as far as they didn't win a medal. Very interesting is the comparison between two skiing generations using the interview with their representatives Kveta Jeriova and Katerina Neumannova. The resulting comparison between their answers reaches a conclusion: the first of them had much harder conditions and worse facilities. In spite of this fact, she proved to be successful but her career was shorter and the number of medals smaller. Keywords: Winter olympic games, history, cross-country skiing, accomplishment
Prerequisites for successful participation of Czech football clubs in European competitions
Pártl, Matěj ; Pokorný, Ladislav (advisor) ; Přibyl, Ivan (referee)
The thesis is focused on identifying the basic assumptions for successful participation of Czech Football clubs in European competitions. One of the main motivations is the financial reward resulting from participation in European competitions. Basic assumptions are found in the team axis and their representative experience in team selection U16-U21, in the ideal age average of the basic assemblies, opponents' playability from the point of view of their nationality and an estimate of the progress of Czech teams in future years against teams by nationality. The results of the thesis clearly show that if the assumptions mentioned above are fulfilled separately the possibilities of success for the Czech teams are small. It is really important to combine these assumptions in one complex at the same time. There is not calculated with the influences we can not predict but may significantly affect the results in the competition . It is possible to estimate the success or failure of Czech teams in European team competitions from the result of this work.

The objective of the practical part is to find answers to the research questions: 1. How do the foreign language teachers perceive motivation? 2. How do the teachers motivate their students? The author of the thesis contacted seven teachers of an anonymous secondary school in order to find the answers. The answers were being searched for via semi-structured interviews with these seven teachers. Either qualitative or quantitative methods could be used to analyze the result of the research. This thesis uses qualitative method since the number of the respondents wasn't as important as finding individual understandings of the subject. Collated data were analyzed using open coding of which the subjects answering the research questions arose. As to the first research question, the answer is that the teachers perceive motivation of...
