The master‘s thesis deals with the creation of economic analysis and locating sources of funding for a non-profit organization named Duha. The master’s thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the issues of non-profit organizations and fundraising. The practical part is focused on finding new possibilities to raise funds.
Nonprofit sector entities in the social sphere

This thesis is devoted to the nonprofit sector entities in the social sphere, which are an important tool that is used primarily for removing social exclusion in society. Social services help clients ensure the physical and mental independence so that they can participate in the daily life of society as much as possible. The aim of my thesis was to analyze the activities of selected nonprofit sector entities in the social sector, focusing on management and economics. These entities were then compared. It was concluded that all companies are the largest source of funding grants, and all companies also form long-term strategic plan of the company. The two organizations use volunteer work. And further that the future development of nonprofit organizations in social services is positive and the number is growing. It is primarily due to the aging population.
Usage of social media in nonprofit organizations in the Czech republic

The aim of this diploma thesis is the inception, concept and performance of presentation the Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague on Facebook since the official launch on the 13th April 2011 to 31 March 2012. The thesis describes the key features of concept, composition of the team, collaboration with other parts of the Faculty of Arts and also the experience of interacting with fans and other presentations. The second part is devoted to a survey of selected communication tools used by the Faculty of Arts, which has been realized in order to determine the opinion of fans of presentation at the end of the first year of operation.
Propagation of Japanese culture in the Czech Republic - a communication analysis of Informational and Cultural Centre of the Japanese Embassy in the Czech Republic and the Czech-Japanese Association in 2009-2010

The topic of marketing communication activities between Japan and the Czech Republic has despite of all important economical links of the two countries not yet been deeply analysed. The goal of this work is to examine the major communication activities advertising the Japanese culture to the Czech audience. It also includes an insight into the cultures, their similarities and differences and how these affect the mutual communication. Japan and the Czech Republic have started mutual relations during the 1st World War, keeping them friendly for most of the future time regardless to political changes that haven't always been favourable. After the Velvet Revolution and re-creation of Czechoslovakia (splitting into the Czech and the Slovak republic later on), the Czech-Japanese Association and the Japan Information and Culture Centre emerged - they are now two organizations with different backgrounds yet similar goals: to help building mutual relations of the two countries and to introduce the Japanese culture in Czech republic in its wide range. This work presents a detailed analysis of both organizations' work in propagation of Japanese culture in the Czech Republic. The cooperation of the civil sector and the public sphere in the selected area - ORP Železný Brod

The aim of this thesis is to find out if there is cooperation between civil sector and public sector in chosen locality - Železný Brod. It is target on poverty and social exclusion. This cooperation will be assessed from the perspective of chosen respondents. The theoretical part describes some models of cooperation, situation in Czech Republic, importance of nonprofit organizations focused on social services and health care. Empirical part deals with methods and techniques of data collections, data analysis techniques. Next there is justification of location and target group. In the part Results, there are presented the results of analysis examined localities and respondents' statements. There is also answer the research questions. Resources Optimization of Non-profit Organizations

The thesis reviews present financing of professional social centres in Jihomoravský kraj with regard to the law no. 108/2006 Sb. It evaluates the possibilities of EU, ministerial and public financing of the organizations providing services specified by the communal plan of South Moravian region. Proposals for efficient supervision of such organizations are put forward, with emphasis on the importance of the provided services as well as their quality.

This master´s thesis deals with evaulating of non-profit organizations focusing on amateur football clubs. During the analytical part,a financial statement will ge given by a CBA analysis based on a practical example of designing a new building with changing rooms and technical infrastructure of the football club "TJ Sokol Slavonin". "Finally, proposals improving the return on investment, followed by a financial structure, how to finance the project in an optimal way, show that an integrated finance model was created.
Tax burden of nonprofit organizations according to the particular legal form

The thesis deals with comparing the tax burden of nonprofit organizations according to their chosen legal form. Based on the regulations of the Czech Republic the first part of the thesis describes the characteristics of nonprofit organizations and explains the main differences in the tax base and tax burden on the taxpayer. The second part compares the tax liability for income tax and value added tax. Calculations in this thesis are based on the data of the nonprofit entity whose main activity is equestrian sport. The third part compares the impact of the tax burden in model situations. In conclusion it is recommended what legal form would be the the most suitable for particular taxpayer, taking into account the scale and kind of realized income.
How to use Competitive Intelligence in nonprofit organizations.

This work analyzes the possibilities of using of Competitive Intelligence in nonprofit organizations and suggests a method of implementation of Competitive Intelligence in the existing nonprofit organization. In the theoretical part I write about the nonprofit sector in the Czech Republic and selected countries of the European Union and I briefly describe the term Competitive Intelligence. In the practical part I use a questionnaire to analyze the possibilities of using of Competitive Intelligence in the nonprofit sector and after that I perform PESTEL and PORTER analyses of the SOS Children's Villages. In the end I use a multi-criteria evaluation to select the best method of the implementation of Competitive Intelligence in the analyzed organization.
Volunteering and voluntary sector at local level - Třebíč

The Bachelor thesis is focused on the elections and its results, and the overall situation in the community has its fundamental influence on it, in this case in Třebíč. Age, occupation, gender and economic situation of the citizens electors even the representatives the elected representatives of the citizens - are reflected in the results. In the bachelor thesis I try to explain the political situation in the municipality in the aspect of creation and functioning of various political subjects and I try to assess the current political situation with regard to the management of the city and its long-term electoral programme. The interview with one of the representatives will help me to prove it as well as the questionnaire focused on the political programme or the financing of election campaign. The aim of this thesis is to explain the process of the formation of the local authority in the selected community. Especially, the characteristic of specific social-economic factors influencing local political process, the identification of local political participants, the relations they have each other, the revealing of the methods of creating the lists of candidates, as well as the approaching of the mechanism of postelection negotiations or forming of the local government. The thesis will be a case study in its character and will utilize the main theoretical concepts relating to the party systems, electoral process and the formation of electoral and executive coalitions at the local political level.
