63 Community trade mark and its relation to a national trade mark, in particular with respect to the accession of the Czech Republic to the EU. (RESUMÉ) The purpose of my thesis is to show some aspects of the Community trade mark and its influence on the Czech national trade mark. The reason for my research is to show how important community trademark can be. A trade mark can become one of the most important assets of a company. It is a sign which serves to distinguish the goods and services of one organisation from those of another. The thesis is composed of six chapters. The first chapter is only introductory and contains some basic facts about the community trade mark. Chapter two on the other hand is subdivided into eight parts. This chapter deals with some basic facts and describes and explains conception of the community trade mark. This chapter subsumes kinds of trade mark, its function, community collective mark, some history and describes the rights of the owner of the trademark. The Mythologization of Photography

The subject of this thesis is a semiotically inspired analysis of Michael Phelps photos from Beijing Summer Olympics (2008). The theoretical part deals with semiotic concepts of Roland Barthes reffering to Ferdinand de Saussure theory and Barthes original concept of modern myths. The aim of this work is to provide an insight into the reading and interpretation of photographic images. It focuses on the issue of mechanisms of photographic meanings and their description. Beside the critical view of Roland Barthes semiotics of photographs and concepts the thesis presents the works of Vilém Flusser and Umberto Eco as well. The main intention of the diploma paper is to show the photograph as an area of utterances. The emphasis on interpretive role is there put into opposition to the understanding of photography only as a mechanical representation of reality. Along with Barthes the work explains the construction of myths as an ideological representation of meanings and intentions that are not obvious at first sight. The practical part offers semiotic-based analysis of several photos of Michael Phelps from the Beijing Olympics games. Synaesthesia (Sutton, 2001), a term used in anthropology of food for the capacities of food to evoke the past in its sensual totality, finds its use in the situation of migration. Migration as a geographical and cultural displacement leaves the country of origin behind. Country of origin becomes the past, its food can be used for evocation of this past experiences subsumed under the notion of home. Evocation of home through the medium of food helps to patch the discontinuites arising from displacement. The memory of home operates as filter through which new circumstances, beliefs and values are experienced and viewed. Taste and eating habits as a part of habitus, mundane taken-for-granted world, yet embodied part of beliefs and cultural norms, are resistant to suspicion that our perception of it might be subject to our interpretation and can play an active role as confirmation of our beliefs about self and Others, and cosequently as the legitimation of action. Moreover, contextuality of food and eating habits (Appadurai, 1988) allows to place cultural difference in the private contexts and does not interpede the proces of integration into the host society. Energy Conception of Czech Republic - coal as the most important domestic energy resource

The state energy conception sets the direction in energy industry and outlines main instruments and trends in this area. The priority of the state energy conception is to reach energy security of the country, which can be ensured by more energy resources of the fuel mix. The main component of the domestic energy mix is brown coal, which is mostly used in brown coal electric works for generating electric energy and heat. Coal mining is and was one of the main elements of Czech Republic's national industry, but there are also negative ecological impacts connected with coal winning. Further coal mining is restricted by so-called territorial ecological limits for brown coal mining that protect the environment and community against the mining consequences. Many of the brown coal supplies can, however, also in future represent an important energy resource, which will enable security, production independence and price availability of energy. At work is further explanation of the limits and progress of breaking the limits. Other energy resources are nuclear energy and renewable energy resources, whose importance rises and which contribute to a balanced energy mix.

The Importance of Boccia in Coherent Rehabilitation and Quality of Life Evaluation

Název práce: Boccia a její význam v ucelené rehabilitaci a hodnocení kvality života Title: Boccia and follows with its meaning in coherent rehabilitation and valuation quality of the life Cíl práce: Poukázat na sport boccia, který může mít význam v ucelené rehabilitaci u těžce tělesně postižených lidí. Dále chci jistit, jakým způsobem boccia ovlivňuje kvalitu života u lidí s nejtěžším tělesným postižením. Metodika: Prostřednictvím dotazníku oslovit lidi s nejtěžším tělesným postižením, kteří se aktivně věnují boccie a z toho některé lidi, kteří hrají bocciu nejméně osmnáct měsíců, oslovit i řízeným rozhovorem. Získat a vyhodnotit informace týkající se vlivu boccii na socializaci, integraci a kvalitu života lidí s nejtěžším tělesným postižením. Výsledky: Přijmout či odmítnout obě hypotezy, že paralympijský sport boccia má kladný vliv na socializaci lidí s nejtěžším tělesným postižením a že tento sport jim zvyšuje kvalitu života. Výsledky přispějí organizacím věnujícím se lidem s těžkým tělesným postižením, ale i samotným lidem, kteří by se mohli věnovat boccie aktivně. Informují o vztahu boccii k socializaci, integraci, o vlivu tohoto sportu na kvalitu života lidí s nejtěžším tělesným postížením. 3

The aspect of postmodernism in the works of Mario Vargas Llosa

Žijeme ve společnosti, která se označuje různými adjektivy: konzumní, masová, ludická, informační, postindustriální, postmoderní. Označení odkazují k jednotlivým charakteristikám současné společnosti. V práci pracuji s konceptem postmodernismu, jehož samotné označení je polemické. Vysvětluji, v čem spočívá polemika o postmodernismu, na základě teoretických děl Huyssena (2002), Harveyho (1998), Jamesona (1991, 1998), Baudril1arda (1987) a Hutcheonové (2002). Každý ze zmíněných autorů předkládá kritickou studii určitého aspektu postmodernismu a přispívá k diskusi o vztahu modernismu a postmodernismu, obecněji k diskusi o významu pojmu "postmodernismus". Se zmíněnými autory polemizuji. Zjednodušeně lze říci, že popisuji rysy současného umění a situaci v současné kultuře. Na úvod je třeba odlišit postmodernismus a postmodernitu. Postmodernismus se týká aspektů estetické reflexe povahy modernity. Kdežto postmodernita označuje vznik nového typu sociálního řádu, odlišného od instituCÍ modernity. Marketing strategy of a selected international company

Recently the role of marketing strategy for a company has significantly increased. Marketing strategy -- as a main plan which not only includes product, promotion, distribution, and pricing approach, but also determines the choice of market segment, positioning, and allocation of resources -- has become vital for a company. The main goal of the thesis will be to analyze and assess presently used marketing strategy of Philips Lighting in the Czech Republic in business to business market. Therefore, analyses that should be conducted before formulating a marketing strategy will be clarified. Since a wide variety of approaches to the categorization of marketing strategy exists, it will not be the goal of the author to deliver a complete enumeration of marketing strategies. With regards to the subject, classification reflecting company's position in the market, product life cycle period and market situation will be explained. Consequently, having acquired knowledge of marketing strategy categorization, and based mainly on the SWOT and Porter's industry analysis, recommendations and correcting measurements of Philips Lighting marketing strategy will be suggested.

The phenomen of social exclusion. Theoretical framework and aspects of the subject

V diplomové práci se budu zabývat vybranými aspekty fenoménu sociální exkluze a rovněž základními teoretickými přístupy, které si kladou za cíl objasnit příčiny vzniku sociálních problémů vyskytujících se v současných společnostech a hledat řešení, jak je odstranit, nebo alespoň eliminovat. Témata sociální exkluze, chudoby, sociálních nerovností a v širším významu sociálního znevýhodnění některých jedinců a sociálních skupin představují podle mne velice aktuální společenské problémy, na které je stále nutné zaměřovat pozornost jak ve společenských vědách, tak v praxi. Tato práce by měla přispět zejména k seznámení s pojmem sociální exkluze, k vysvětlení tohoto sociálního problému a v neposlední řadě, na základě srovnání rozdílných teoretických přístupů, k objasnění příčin jeho výskytu v současných společnostech a možných způsobů, jak se s ním vypořádat. Dotknu se rovněž empirické roviny problematiky, protože koncept sociální exkluze je zároveň analytickým modelem využívaným v sociologickém výzkumu a také v sociální politice jako nástroj k popisu aktuálních společenských problémů, jenž vede k tvorbě strategií a politik sociální inkluze.
