Support options for vocational education

The bachelor thesis deals with possibilities of how to support vocational education, expecially its technical branches.The aim is to find out what kind of support is provided to students at secondary vocational schools and apprentice schools by businesses, organizations and other support programs so that the graduates could find employment after graduation in their field. The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and pracitcal (i.e. research) parts. The theoretical part describes the individual strategic documents that deal with the support of the vocational education, which nowadays suffers from the lack of students. The practical part determines a set of research questions and includes the research that was carried out in the form of a questionnaire survey between teachers of vocational schools and interviews with vocational school students. The results were subsequently evaluated and conclusions were drawn to identify which possibilities of support are used and how they are accepted by the students alone.
Project: Pre-school aesthetical education "PAE"

The main topic of this diploma thesis is project called Pre-school aesthetic education "PAE", which is tought at Elementary Art School. In theoretical part are generally explained terms aesthetic, aesthetic education and their brief history, current possibilities of aesthetic education in selected Elementary Art Schools and characteristic of PAE project. Research part focus on acquisition of the project in education at Elementary Art Schools, effectiveness in the selection of artistic field in pre-school age and at least suitability of including this project into the School Education Program of other Elementary Art Schools. For the research were used empirical methods (observations, questionnaire, interviews). Overall results of research are based on comparison and evaluation of the answers from all respondent categories. These results show positive evaluation of PAE, which suitably fills the pre-school period of children with meaningful activities, which are connected with comprehensive development of personality. Extensive appendix brings closer view to the work of children in PAE classes. It contains scanned pictures, newspaper articles and patterns of questionnaires. Migration and integration in Czech education system

This bachelor thesis deals with current programmes of integration of migrant children into Czech schools. It examines which programmes are available and who publishes them. The thesis analyses ways of migrant children's integration into kindergartens and elementary schools. Second part of the thesis contains examination of School education programmes in 35 elementary schools and 35 Gymnasiums. The main focus is on number of geography lessons in each grade, followed by comparing the placement of migration topic in a specific grade. History of migration in the Czech Republic and evaluation of current situation is also a part of this thesis. The thesis is based on the study of available materials and the subsequent data synthesis. Another information source was a questionnaire distributed into the schools. Unfortunately the number of responses was not high enough therefore the results are used as a complementary information only. This thesis can work as a basic material for orientation in migrant children's integration issues and as a view into the geography lesson's syllabi. Developing scientific literacy in pre-primary education through environmental themes

1 Abstract Thesis Woods as an educational space? examines using quantitative methods the differences between children in ordinary kindergartens and forest kindergartens, and it does so according to formation of individual components of scientific literacy or knowledge of selected terms (concepts) in its empirical part. For this purpose it creates evaluation model of scientific literacy of preschool children (didactic test) based on the example of processing a particular topic - Forest. The topic is set into the concept of pedagogy, developmental psychology, and social ecology. The theoretical part discusses the issue of scientific literacy, especially in the context of preprimary age. From the perspective of developmental psychology are furthemore described cognitive developmental characteristics of preschool age in their basic level. This part also focuses on strategic documents of (permanent) sustainable development. The thesis gives a first interesting insight into the problem and reveals a serious facts such as that children from ordinary kindergartens confuse natural objects under artificial objects also are less oriented in inanimate components, than the children of the forest kindergartens. Support of health in the curriculum of the Nursing College and Secondary Nursing School in Prague 1

The topic of the following thesis is the health promotion included in curriculum of Special Medical High School and Medical High School in Prague 1. The aim of a qualitative research is to find out how the school adopted the possibility of health promotion in its curriculum and other educational documents, what is the life style of the teachers and their particular experience in health promotion during their classes. Three different data collecting techniques were used when doing the research: semi- structured interviews with selected teachers; class observation; analysis of relevant pedagogical documents. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the history and presence of the schools selected, pedagogical documents and also with chosen pedagogical staff. Further it informs about specific school health support projects. The practical part contains final results of qualitative research which shows that the topic of health support is included in many areas of chosen documents. Its following realization depends not only on financial possibilities and capacity of the school but mainly on particular teachers and their responsible approach to this issue within their lessons and lifestyle. Jitka Vodáková, CSc. ABSTRACT The goal of this theisis is to test efficiency of special craft program based on natural materials which was developer for pupils with autism. Theoretical part is focused on characteristics of pupils from special basic school. It describes thein diagnoses - mental handicap, multihandicap and especialy autism. Next part oves overview of natural materials, thein varieties and manufacturing. It also describes how crafts are involved in General education program and School education program.This part of thesis pay attention to safety precautions during craft works. Practical part pay is focused on casuistry of four pupils with autism. The main method was direkt observation during their work with natural materials. This observational work took six months. Evaluation tools for assessment of the School Educational Programme in the field of pedagogical process

The final thesis deals with methods and techniques that are used for collecting and analyzing data used in the evaluation process in school curriculums in kindergartens. The theoretical part contains definitions and basic concepts related to the areas of assessment and evaluation, evaluation tools and processes. It identifies the basic methods and techniques of evaluation processes and their practical application in the assessment of the evaluation system of the School Education Program (SEP) in terms of merged kindergartens. In the empirical part it focuses on the issue (area) of the evaluation of school curriculums in kindergartens in terms of unified kindergartens and is based on information obtained by a questionnaire survey. It examines the practical usage of specific evaluation tools in assessing evaluation systems, analyzes actual implementation, effectiveness and functionality of evaluation practices and evaluation of the research. In conclusion it provides recommendations for possible procedures and solutions of discovered shortcomings in the evaluation of school curricula in terms of unified kindergartens.

Possibilities and importance of art education of pupils with visual impairment in elementary education

The theme of this thesis is the evaluation of the possibilities and importance of art education of pupils with visual impairment in elementary education. The aim of the thesis is to present the possibilities and importance of art education for the development of cognitive and motor function of the upper limbs of young learners with visual disabilities. The practical aim is to create a modified school educational program (SEP) for the subject area Art education that would address the special needs of pupils with visual impairment or blind at the first grade of primary school. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is divided into five main chapters. The first chapter is devoted to the definition of visual impairment, its classification and structuring by grade, type and causes. The second chapter is about the etiology of visual impairment. The third chapter deals with the specific development of children with visual impairment at school age. Specifically, the cognitive development of children this age with visual impairment is described. The focus is on the visual, auditory and tactile perception as well as attention, memory, thinking and speech. The fourth chapter describes the capabilities of the elementary education related to teaching students with visual impairments. First, the related legislation, early care and preschool education are noted. Afterwards, a large part of the chapter is devoted to elementary education either through integration or at the elementary school for the visually impaired. Basic information on secondary education is also provided for the sake of completeness. The last theoretical chapter is dedicated to the art education for pupils with visual impairment. The practical part presents the proposed modification of elementary school education program for mainstream schools. First, the presented aims and methodology of the practical part are listed, including a description of the research and analysis of the SEP field for elementary schools. The last part includes the modification proposal itself; the original and modified curriculum and expected outputs and methodological supplement specifically for blind and visually impaired students are presented in form of dedicated tables. Qualitative approaches were used for the practical part of the thesis. The data were collected by an analysis of documents (specifically school education program). The thesis is usable as a study material for students of special education, special educators, and after a formal update also for the target group of parents and pupils with visual impairments. It could serve as a methodical suggestions for teachers in primary mainstream schools and pupils with visual impairment that have such educational needs.
Possibilities and importance of physical education of pupils with visual impairment in the basic education.

Subject of this bachelor thesis is the opportunity and meaning of physical education for visually impaired pupils at primary school. The main aim is to perform a modification of the education plan for visually impaired pupils. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to present theoretic points of the meaning of physical education for optimization of development of all character attributes of the pupils with visual handicap. The other aim of this bachelor thesis is to modify an education plan in the subject "Man and Health" (Physical Education) for visually impaired pupils at primary school. This bachelor thesis is composed of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with the processing of the starting theoretic points, which topic is visually impaired pupils or children. I dedicate to visual handicap, its definition and classification in the literary research specifically. The theoretical part also presents the specifics of the visually impaired child's development, its motor, mental, cognitive evolution and its progress of exercise and spatial orientation. The other topic of the theoretical part is the early care and education system of visually impaired children. The last biggest chapter of the theoretical part are some chosen physical and sport activities for visually impaired children. e.g. athletics, swimming, cycling, goalball and showdown, suitable for visually impaired children. The practical part deals with a modification of the education plan itself at the primary school at České Budějovice. Firstly, there is introduced the aim of the thesis and research methodics. This is followed by a summary of the results of the quantitative research, modification of the education plan and the conclusion of the thesis. A document analysis and an interview were used as methods of research in this bachelor thesis. The interview was held with teachers from primary school at České Budějovice. On the base of research there was made a modified education plan for physical education. Suggested modifications have material, personnel, didactical and methological character. The base for data processing was research results from analysis and literature and from interview with teachers at the primary school at České Budějovice. This bachelor thesis should serve as a study material for pedagogic students at university, also for public and it should be used by teachers for visually impaired pupils at primary school.
