Incidence of musculoskeletal disorders related to work by physiotherapists

Title: Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders amongst Physical Therapists and Assistants in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia Aim: 1) To determine the prevalence of work related musculoskeletal disorder among physical therapist and assistants in physical therapy departments in Jeddah city. 2) To determine what age and sex (male- female) has the highest rates of disorders 3) To determine the most problematic area in the body that physical therapist and assistants complain from. Methods: Modified Nordic musculoskeletal questionnaire which was adapted in a study was made Kuwait in the year of 2010 it's a combination of self-writing and multiple choice questions. Paper based survey was distributed to 165 participants from different work settings in Jeddah City then analysed with SPSS analytics software. Result: The percentage of Work related musculoskeletal disorder among physical therapists in Jeddah city is 86.1%. The risk factors associated with work was scored as moderate by 70.3%. The low back region is most body parts complained about by 42.42%. Both sexes (Male-Female) where affected equally as age, BMI was not related significantly except in few body parts. A teacher's vocational load in variant cultures

This thesis is dealing with workload that teachers face in their profession, and focuses on secondary school teachers in the Czech Republic and New Zealand. The theoretical part presents topics of secondary school, culture, load and teacher workload based on available scientific Czech and foreign sources. This part discusses both theoretical principles and research done in these fields. The empirical part proposes a research project on appreciation of secondary school teachers in the Czech Republic and New Zealand. This project focuses on appreciation by students' parents and therefore seeks to explore one of the factors responsible for teacher workload. The aim of this thesis is to present the issue of teacher vocational load (or workload) and to offer an intercultural perspective that could be useful in this field. Sleep and Professional Stress of Teacher

The thesis deals with the topic of sleep and professional stress of teachers. The theoretical part provides information on workload, its sources and its possible consequences. From the long- term consequences of workload is paid attention to burnout syndrome, its symptoms and diagnostic possibilities. One part also reviews the results of burnout studies among teachers and attention is also paid to risk and protective factors. Furthermore, the theoretical part focuses on the topic of sleep, its physiological characteristics, the need and importance of sleep in human life and the consequences of insufficient sleep. It also provides information on selected sleep disorders. The last section of theoretical part summarizes studies of sleep in relation to stress and burnout, which is followed by the empirical part of the thesis. The aim of the empirical research is to investigate the quality of sleep among primary and secondary school teachers and to confirm relationships among sleep quality (PSQI), burnout syndrome (SMBM) and satisfaction with life (SWLS).

Proceedings before the European Court of Human Rights and their reform The purpose of this thesis is to analyse and evaluate the proceedings before the European Court of Human Rights. This Court that exists within the Council of Europe is the guardian of guaranteed human rights and fundamental freedoms defined in the European Convention on Human Rights. Under this Convention an individual is entitled to submit an application to the Court and seek for the protection of his rights that were violated by one of the Member states. One of the conditions that ensure this protection is an effective and adequate proceedings before the Court. At present, the Court has to face many problems that are able to put this human rights protection in danger. Therefore the Member states decided to initiate a reform of the Court and its proceedings. The basic goal of this reform process is to ensure the long-term efficiency of the proceedings. This thesis analyzes the outcomes of this reform and how it affects the current proceedings. This bachelor's thesis occupies itself with teacher's workload. It is focused especially on elementary and high school teachers. The first part contains descriptions of terms stress, load, workload and burnout syndrome. The main part describes teacher's workload with its specifics. There are named and described factors which contributes to teacher's workload. The next chapter is about the teachers in Czech republic. In the last part is presented my research project. This project is focused on protective factors which help decline the teacher's workload and the risk of burnout syndrome.
Factors influencing selection of class teachers at basic school

The final diploma thesis defines factors that significantly influence managements of basic schools in their decisions regarding the selection of class teachers in terms of the performed HR activities. Selection and appointing a suitable candidate to a position of a class teacher is a responsible personnel activity which poses high demands on each management worker in the field of education. It is demanding because a class teacher is in many ways the most important person who contributes to and presents the image of the school through everyday close contacts with clients, among others with pupils, parents, public, the school founder and colleagues. To a certain extent it is possible to say that the class teacher provides an outward representation of the organisation and his/her behaviour has a strong impact on how the community and public view the organisation/school. General groups of factors that influence the selection of class teachers were identified based on the results of a preliminary research and subsequently verified in the main research. The Culture of OSPOD Departments and the Conditions for Coping with Workload

The bachelor's thesis " The Culture of the Child Protection Unit and the Conditions for Coping with Workload" deals with working conditions at child protection unit, describes specific characteristics of the work. The thesis determines a role of head of the department focusing its essential influence on local working environment. Using the management theory the thesis specifies fundamental tactics to create stimulating surroundings with enough support and assistance in coping with overburden - often coupled with these departments. The research summarizes examples from common situations at child protection unit into concrete statements that reflect ways of executives to build good working environment for the workers - building strong relationships, considering periodic supervisions and atmosphere of trust, encouragement and respect.
Influence of school climate to the teacher and pupils at primary school

The thesis in the theoretical part with factors and phenomena that affect the school climate, the climate in the staff and classroom in relation to the teacher's personality, professional competences, motivation and self - esteem in a profession. I tis interested in teacher's satisfaction and its impact on teacher's interact with students and colleagues. The approaches to studying climate are collected at the end of the theoretical part. The practical part presents research based on observation describes the atmosphere of the school, which is an important indicator of school climate. The factors are analyzed here that affect the educational and pedagogical work of teachers and their satisfaction in working life. The thesis deals with load, stress and related questions of the working life. Work-related stress brings numerous difficulties not only to affected individuals, but as a result also to organizations. The thesis follows symptoms, impacts, somatic and mental aspects of stress, its types and also types of stressors, which cause this problem. It is concentrated on workload as a specific area of work-related stress, individual resistance to the load, factors of workload and work-related stress and also on coping with problematic situations. The specific topic related to the stress is burnout syndrome. The thesis describes its formation and development, its causes, symptoms in three main levels - mental, physical and level of social relations and then influence of important factors such as personality and work conditions. It is also focused on professions endangered by burnout syndrome and its prevention.
