Education of physically disabled Children

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the problem of education for children with physical disabilities. It discusses the possibility of their integration into the mainstream society and it opens a question of a special educational needs school as an acceptable alterna- tive on the way to a full inclusion. Through qualitative case study, it verifies Tom Schmid's idea that this kind of school may be a possible option only if it is not a total institution as E. Goffman puts it, it keeps the social functions of a school and respects student's individuality while concerning the handicap as part of his personality. The text specifies basic school functions, defines physical disabled people and their educa- tional opportunities and it describes the concept of total institution by E. Goffman as well as latter authors. The case study, based on participant observation, interviews and official document analysis, interprets totality of the institution in relation to its closedness that is not demonstrated by physical barriers as in E. Goffman's concept. The school possesses other features to bind its inmates within the walls. The research findings are interpreted in context of integration. It also looks at the conditions of ac- ceptability of special school education proposed by Tom Schmid.
Support for People with Autism Spectrum Disorders in the Czech Republic

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to assess support for people with autism spectrum disorders in the Czech Republic and to document an improvement in this field. The theoretical part of this thesis defines special needs of a person with autism spectrum disorder and his or her family and describes means of support and social services for the group. This part also includes brief history of civil society organisations that have contributed to the progress the most - Autistik and APLA. The next part analyzes experiences of parents of children with autism spectrum disorders compiled in a biographical survey. The outcome of this paper is a comprehensive presentation of issues concerning the life of people with autism spectrum disorders and their families in our country. This thesis also identified the means of support that are the most useful for this group.
Importance of nannies in a family of a child with special needs

This thesis deals with the problems of babysitting children with special needs. The theoretical part is primarily devoted to the characteristics of healthy child development. Consequently, it provides a comparison of optimal child development with the development of handicapped children. It highlights the difficulty of care for disadvantaged children, the importance of preventing parents becoming overloaded and the various possibilities for support of the families. The next chapter focuses on the educational assessment of healthy children and children with special needs. It describes the availability of babysitting services for those children, the offers of current agencies and the profile of good quality carers. The last chapter presents the empirical part of this thesis. The quantitative research was, with the use of questionnaires, addressed to the parents of children with special needs. This section presents the course of the research and the method by which the goals were attained. It presents the views of parents of children with special needs with regards to: their level of interest in, and the problems with, babysitting services. Title: Modified games -integrative factor mentally affected. Goal of thesis: To enable to persons with mental infliction of achievement maximum self- realization, satiation of the basic human needs (biological, social and vegetative) and purposeful incorporation to the society. Method: The empirical research - the application of sport kinetic games with choice set of mentally affected boys in terms club of sport games together with pupils common school. Specification of Employment of Persons with Autistic Spectrum Disorder

This thesis describes the specifications of employing people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The main goal is to formulate recommendations for managers and HR workers regarding adaptation of the HR processes, workplace environment and management methods to the specific needs of employees with ASD. This is achieved through the qualitative research using the methods of interview with participants of Autism@Work project together with analysis of additional resources. This thesis offers characteristic of people with ASD in the work context including the analysis of the current situation of people with ASD on the labour market and providing the best practice examples of supporting projects focusing at this target group. The first part is the specified diagnosis of autism, symptoms of autism and other ancillary diagnoses. The second part discusses the general requirements for children's rooms, and the requirements for autistic children's rooms in terms of space, ergonomics, safety, hygiene, furniture and other elements according to their needs. The third analytical part is focused on the present children's rooms and the needs of children with autism, using a questionnaire. The end is evaluates the applicability of the results obtained in practice.
