The End of the War, Litoměřice in 1945

This master's thesis focuses on year 1945 and events in Litoměřice town. Especially events in the town itself in spring the same year, upcoming revolt in the nearby village Žitenice, situation both the German and the Czech population, their reaction to the forthcomig end of the war and last efforts of occupiers to hold the town. There will be briefly mentioned also the history of the Nazi occupation of Litoměřice. Special attention will be paid to the concentration camp Litoměřice. Here I will build on my previous barchelor thesis, in which I mentioned the liberation of the concentration camp in one chapter. I will complete and extend aforementioned events. Attention will be paid, among other things, also to the way how the end of the war enrolled to lives of prisoners themselves. I will try to reconstruct all from archival materials and literature and mainly from memories of civilians and prisoners of the concentration camp in a similar way as in my previous bachelor thesis.

Nazi underground factory Richard in the Memories of former Prisoners

This bachelor thesis deals with Nazi underground factory from the perspective of prisoners of the concentration camp in Litoměřice and the Small fortress, who worked in the underground. It focuses on life and production in the underground, daily program, working conditions, but especially on fellings and impressions of the prisoners themselves. Main source for the bachelor thesis are written memories of the prisoners saved in Terezín Memorial. Attention will be also paid to history of the factory and the concentration camp in Litoměřice town and in the end there will be a reflection on the issues of the current situation of the factory and attitude of leadership of the town to the future of this palce.
Terezín diaries in project teaching

This Diploma thesis deals with the use of diaries from the Terezín Ghetto in project teaching. Their use should be made through a series of worksheets designed for project teaching. The benefits and success of worksheets were tested on several groups of elementary and secondary schools. The first chapter is devoted to theoretical introduction to the issue of projects and project-based teaching, the following chapter discusses the history of Terezín, the third chapter deals with the Terezín diaries and their authors, in the fourth chapter are placed excerpts of diaries with the relevant historical context. Into the last chapter are included worksheets created on the basis of excerpts from the diaries, their solutions and evaluation for their success by students. The last pages are devoted to the work attachment list and a list of references and online resources. The work demonstrates that diaries are a good source for creating worksheets about everyday life in the Terezín Ghetto and that they bring to learning new ways of work and wider view of the issues being discussed.
The display of Ravensbrück and Neuengamme concentration camps (and their surroundings) in the documentary literature and the testimonies of eyewitnesses

In my bachelor thesis I focus on the display of Ravensbrück and Neuengamme concentration camps and their surroundings in the documentary literature. I examine how the people of the neighborhood towns and villages cooperated with the concentration camps, how they dealt with and how they accepted the fact that a concentration camp was so close by. I explore this topic from the point of view of the people who lived in that area as well as from the point of view of the prisoners from the concentration camps. A further focus is drawn to the prisoners themselves and how, or in what way they were in contact with the civilian population.
Concentration Camp as a Topic in German Literature

This thesis deals with the topic of the Nazi concentration camps in German literature. At the beginning of the work the historical background and the most important dates and events from the history of the concentration camps will be described. It will be continued by the general description of the topic in German literature and the attitude of society in the postwar period. In the last chapter three works with the theme of concentration camps from every literary genre will be analysed in detail. From drama it will be The trial by Peter Weiss, then the poem Death Fugue by Paul Celan and finally the novel Naked among Wolves by Bruno Apitz. Apart of the interpretations of works the emphasis will be put on the lives of the authors, for better understanding. The main subject of this thesis will be to approach the topic of concentration camps in German literature, historical background and attitude to this topic in the postwar period. The Psychology of Life under the Conditions of Concentration Camp

Diploma thesis was divided into three main parts: the historical part, true stories of survivors and psychological part. The order of these three parts is not accidental. One follows the other, and each of the following, you might say, is clear. The second part contains the real stories of survivors and two stories of survivors of the Auschwitz concentration camp, and two stories from the Theresienstadt ghetto.On the stories of former prisoners trying to illustrate what life was like lágrového prisoner what they had to endure what he had to give up what had become accustomed to, and what a great inner strength had to use that he managed to survive. In every story outlines the change that is in man during detention takes place. The main task of the second part is to offer readers a chance to try to put yourself in the characters and try to bring your inner feelings at least a partial understanding of the urgency of the topic. The third and last part, the part psychological. Its mission is to gather, grab and name phenomena that occur freely in the stories of survivors. Another aim is to highlight the consequences of the concentration camp experience entails. Liberation of prisoners in concentration camps do not stop there. On the other hand, surviving thanks to her horror experiences we take away...
