Chinese economy has reached its export limits and is located in an era of transformation process into new economic model based on domestic consumption and sector of services. Under pressure from foreign entities which require internationalization of yuan as an implementation of free floating exhange rate regime, China must deal with number of problems arising from the process of economic transformation. This thesis examines possible solutions to current problems from the perspective of exchange rate policy of the People's Bank of China.

Decision-making within the public policy shown on the foreign operations of the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis deals with a decision-making within the public policy shown on the approving of dispatching of military troops to Afghanistan by the Parliament of the Czech Republic. The paper uses the theory of historical institutionalism for explaining the decision- making. The historical institutionalism is a theory, which accents the influence of institutions on the decision-making. It also recognises the influence of other variables: context and actors. It is recommended to explore the history to learn which variables are the most important ones. The paper is written on the basis of this point of view. It deals with the history of engagement of the Czech Republic within the foreign military operations, the development of the situation in Afghanistan and reactions of international organizations. It also explores the influence of the main Czech actors on the decision-making.

Fiscal policy of the Russian Federation after 2000

The aim of this Bachelor's Thesis is to analyze the fiscal policy of the Russian Federation, explaining the principles of this policy, defining the specifics of the operation, targets, weaknesses, main instruments and tools. The first part is a theory describing the topic related to fiscal and budgetary policy and tax system. The next section is an assessment of the current tax system and the overall tax burden in the Russian Federation. Also is discussed the structure of state budget's revenues and expenditures of the Russian Federation, and its development over time. There is an analysis of state debt of the Russian Federation and conducted an analysis of individual state actions on the model of aggregate supply and aggregate demand. In conclusion is the overall assessment of the fiscal policy of the Russian Federation and a summary of the performed Bachelor's Thesis.

Austria and the Eastern question 1829-1841

Relying on thorough examination of relevant documents housed in the archives in Vienna, Paris, London, Berlin and Munich, this thesis analyzes the attitude of one of the most important personalities of the 19th century, Austrian Chancellor Metternich, towards the Ottoman Empire and his behaviour in the complicated evolution of the Eastern Question from 1829 to 1841, in other words from the signature of the Treaty of Adrianople to the conclusion of the second London Treaty regarding the Straits. Attention is paid particularly to the final phase of the Greeks' struggle for independence and the relating Russian-Ottoman war, the French expedition to Algeria, the two Ottoman-Egyptian crises, the Rhine crisis caused by the complications in the Levant, the Russian-British rivalry in the East and the difficult situation of the Christians in Syria in the spring of 1841. A further reason for writing this thesis is to point out some of Metternich's hitherto unknown characteristics and diplomatic procedures transpiring from his Near Eastern policy. Tools of Czech Foreign Policy in Terms of Public Diplomacy- Case Study of Danish-Czech Club in Copehagen

The main topic of the thesis is public diplomacy. It introduces its actors and tools it uses. Linked terms are explained such as cultural diplomacy, nation branding, soft power or hard power. The thesis contains also a chapter that introduces the relationship between Czech republic and its compatriots. The concept of the Czech Ministery of Foreign Affairs is also mentioned. The practical part of the thesis constitutes of the analysis of the Danish-Czech Club in Copenhagen as a tool of Czech public diplomacy. The SWOT analysis assesses the strenghts and weaknesses of the club as well as the threats and opportunities. Recomendations that could help the Club to be more active are also a part of the thesis.

Foreign policy is an outer side of the nation's life, and this applies even more to the foreign policy of the United States. Historian Arthur M. Schlesinger Jr. sums up this statement in his excellent book The Cycles of American History writing: "The foreign policy is the face a nation wears to the world."1 Tremendous growth of the United States during the 19th century set up conditions, which helped to the 'Colossus of the North' to assume during the 20th century a role of the most important world power. Especially because of the result of the Cold War and the recent course of international events, political scientists are comparing present position of the United States with the Roman or British Empire in a peak of their power.2 One of the most interesting aspects of a study of American history is its uninterrupted continuity and 'logic,' which consequently brings forward strong appeal to our presence. This diploma thesis "Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs) as a Stakeholders of the Integration Policy in Relation to the Foreigners" discsusses the Czech integration policy and the role of these organizations in the process of formation and implementation of this policy. It provides basic insight into the integration policy and process of its making, focuses on the role of individual stakeholders in this process, examines the relationships between the concerned stakeholders and focuses on problem areas connected with the theme of this thesis.
