Personal management of Junák

This diploma thesis investigates the human resource management in Junak. It focuses on the basic organisational units in Junak. The topic of the diploma thesis follows the personal areas from Strategy 2022, which contains visions that are supposed to be fullfilled by 2022. The aim of this study is to monitor the practice of human resource management in organisational units with good people management. The theoretical part involves explanations of human resource management fundamental terms and engages in relevant subjects which are related. The empirical part is divided into two areas. The first one introduces the Scout movement in general, the Scout organisation in Great Britain and the organisation Junak and its strategy. It describes the organisational structures and focuses on the department of human resource management and support for volunteers. The second area is the research itself. Sixty Scout units were chosen for the study. I addressed 18 leaders of units according to some qualitative indicators and special recommendations, 14 interviews took place. Interviews focused on the practical experience, inspiration, personal attitudes and opinions of the leaders or their deputies. Situational leadership theory and its application in the optical business in the Czech Republic

The Theory of Situational Leadership, the core of the thesis, has become nowadays one of the intensively studied area in Sociology of management. The primary goal to be accomplished here in this thesis is to examine leadership styles of leaders in the optical business in the Czech Republic and to determine if the leaders are effective when exercise leading the followers, all with regard to Blanchard's and Hersey's Situational Leadeship Theory. The main part of the thesis consists of empirical study which focuses on leaders and their ledearship styles in optical organizations as well as their effectiveness in leading team of followers. The quantitative survey tool modified by author so can be used in czech environment will be introduced in the methodological part of the thesis. The theoretical assumptions should appropriately illustrate the analytical results obtained by the research. Coping strategies of leaders in a child (Scout-like) organization

The bachelor thesis deals with the problems of coping with difficult situations with the leaders of children's clubs. The aim of the thesis is to map and describe the activities of the leader in a particular children's club, the sources of difficulty in it and coping strategies that the leaders use. First, the theoretical part of the thesis deals with clarification the terms related to coping with difficult situations (stress theory, work load, resistance, adaptation, coping, personality characteristics, coping strategies). The next part of the thesis deals with the clarification of terms related to the clubs activity and the work of the leader (what is a club activity, its development in the Czech Republic, a club collective, internal organization, educational system, leader's work, legislation). The empirical part of the thesis deals with qualitative research, whose main aim was to find out what coping strategies are used by the head of a particular children's club. It also describes the mapped work of the leader and the sources of difficulty in it. A semi-structured interview and a SVF 78 questionnaire were used for data collection. It defines theoretical starting points for web applications. Based on requirements and analysis of current solutions, it provides a proposal for application, description of implementation, economic evaluation and summary of benefits.
Web Service for Master's Theses Supervision

This thesis deals with design and implementation of new version of web portal for master's thesis supervisioin. The website is written in PHP using Nette framework. The goal of this application is to simplify the work of theses supervisors. The application provides supervisors with overview of students' activity by weekly reports. It allows students to cooperate and share information and motivation. The main reasons for creating a new implementation were improvement and extension of functionality and improvement of user interface and user experience. Results of testing show that all the above-mentioned changes were successful. Users are more satisfied, especially with the user interface.
