The social interaction of bus passengers is seen as dramaturgical proceeding of actors in specific social surroundings. The aim of this work is to describe social interactions and definition of personal space in the intercity bus. The work is theoretically based on the works of Erving Goffman. Findings in the empirical part of the work are based on the qualitative research data. The data were collected using the participant observation method on the passengers of specific intercity bus. They mostly use their body (they sit on the seat closer to the corridor in the middle of the bus) or items like clothes and luggage which they put on the seat next to them. The work also describes reactions of passengers on the insufficient interaction space. Most people responded with civil inattention accompanied by some involvement....

Rosendorfová, Johana ; Hrabec, Ondřej (advisor) ; Smetáčková, Irena (referee)
The goal of this bachelor's thesis is to contribute to further development of the concept of a play style of both male and female video game players, and to highlight the relevance of studying video games in relation to the female population. The target of this work was to uncover the play styles of adult female video game players, for which I propose approaching the play style as an element of the interaction process between the player and her environment (fellow male and female players and the general public). In the main part of the work I propose a contextual model of play style and arrive at a categorization of gender specific play styles and their relation to the concepts of agency and communion. The results were reached by in depth analysis of interviews with female video game players.

Learning through experience, its potential, mechanisms and connected phenomena
Kos, Andrej ; Smetáčková, Irena (advisor) ; Štech, Stanislav (referee)
This thesis aims to illuminate the potential for personal growth in learning through experience. The paper also tries to describe the principles of learning and connected phenomena and the mechanisms, through which its acteurs gain the option to achieve personal growth. To support its theoretical claims, an observation has been conducted in the duration of circa four months among three after-school activity groups. The observed phenomena have then been interpreted in terms of theoretical concepts of learning, experiencing, the dynamics of small groups and personal growth provided earlier in the paper. Based on the observation, a system of "learning situations" has been constructed and its characteristics and mechanism, through which its acteurs can achieve personal growth, explained. Key words: Learning, social learning, group activities, free-time activities, personal growth, leadership, social attachement
Nonverbal communication in the pedagogical communication
Musil, Roman ; Prokop, Jiří (referee)
This thesis aims to draw the attention of teachers throughout different grades to a number of nonverbal phenomena that occur (mostly subconsciously) during didactic communication, not only amid students and teachers but amongst classmates, as well. This treatise transfigures scientific research in the fields of nonverbal communication and business into a didactic environment. By describing the many nonverbal phenomena, the teacher can envision what is behind the nonverbal signals that the students emit and what signals he transmits back. As a result of the knowledge acquired on nonverbal communication in didactic communication, the teacher can intentionally improve his own relationship with students and amid classmates, as well as the bond between students and the given subject, which can contribute to greater joy in the process of learning for both students and teachers. The teacher may apply the knowledge from this paper when interacting with parents or colleagues, as well.

Radek Vorlíček ABSTRACT The dissertation explores the dynamics of social marginality and dominance in educational settings. It explores social distance dynamics among pupils in elementary school, and its impact on their position in social hierarchy. The dissertation is structured in four parts: (1) Introduction, referring to the aim and structure of the dissertation; (2) Methodology, presenting the research process, strategies and methods as well as data analysis, theoretical and methodological discussions, reflexivity and ethical aspects; (3) Elementary schools in...
