European nations in the Asterix series
Kozoňová, Zuzana ; Kepartová, Jana (advisor) ; Skopek, Robert (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to confront predominantly Celtic nations depicted in the comic series about Aste rix by René Goscinny and Albert Uderz with information derived from literary as well as archaeological sources and consequently to describe current stereotypes and political and social events appearing in the series. Since its origin, Asterix series has become a world phenomenon with readers across both the social and age spectrum. Numerous allusions to the recent past, which the authors decided to humorously comment on through their cartoon characters, can be found in the series. However, each of the stories takes place in the historical background of the times around the year 50 BC, and it seems interesting to observe to what extent Uderzo and Goscinny stick to the sources and when their fantasy takes over. Keywords: Asterix, René Goscinny, Albert Uderzo, phenomenon, Celtic nations, ancient times, the Gauls, the Belgae, the Picts, the present nations, international

Rehabilitation of the sensuous world from the environmental perspective of David Abram.
Slovák, Ľuboš ; Daněk, Tomáš (advisor) ; Jaroš, Filip (referee)
This thesis is an attempt to reflect on the theme of phenomena and sensuous world in the context of environmentalism. It deals with the condemnation of phenomena in the modern era science and especially in the contemporary neo-Darwinian biology, and with various attempts at rehabilitation of sensory perception as a relevant way of relating to the world in biology (Adolf Portmann, Hans Driesch) and philosophy (phenomenology, particularly Maurice Merleau-Ponty). The main subject of the thesis is the eco- phenomenology of David Abram and a comparison of his approach with the one held by contemporary biology. Based on this comparison it is argued in what manner may the thoughts of David Abram, and the effort to rehabilitate phenomena in general, be of benefit to the environmental discourse, particularly in terms of forming an original epistemology and ontology and concerning the ethical motivations. KEYWORDS: Abram, phenomenon, environmentalism, neo-Darwinism, phenomenology, eco-phenomenology

The TV show Prostřeno as a mirrof of social and political phenomenons in czech society
Karták, Vít ; Štoll, Martin (advisor) ; Soukup, Martin (referee)
Prostřeno! show became a phenomenon amongst Czech television programmes. It is broadcasted daily and usually it is watched by hundreds of thousands of viewers. This culinary show should be apolitical and should focus solely on cooking and table manners. However, this is not the case and the show is corrupted by topics currently resonating in the Czech society. In a fact, these topics are usually connected with stereotypes and prejudices towards minority cultures and together with dramaturgical interventions they cause conflicts among show participants and also have impact on viewers of this show. This thesis aims to capture previously mentioned stereotypes in context of three examined topics (homosexuality, Roma ethnicity and Muslim culture), those have been significant themes in Czech society since 2015. The thesis is aiming to present a relevant view on if and eventually how are these stereotypes, prejudices and stances presented in the Prostřeno! show. Taking high viewership of this show into account, it might be assumed that the show itself is taking part on creating of stances, stereotypes or prejudices, which are present in the Czech society.
