Personal and social development of pupil in music education at primary school

The diploma thesis focuses on the topic of personal and social development of pupils in the music education process at the 1st level of basic education. It brings forward selected music therapy techniques, which represent one of the means of personal and social education. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the concept of personal and social education with a brief history of the issue. It represents the position of personal and social education in curricular documents. The practical part of the work presents regular teaching of music lessons at the Dolní Břežany Elementary school. The research part also includes activities with emotional cards. The diploma thesis offers a possible connection of communication cards with listening to selected songs, in order to briefly diagnose the research sample. The chosen music therapy techniques are applied to the pupils of the 1st grade, which represents a significant milestone in the transition from kindergarten to primary school. Social class climate in the first grade of the primary school

Social class climate in the first grade of the primary school is the topic of my diploma thesis. My work is oriented on the creating and affecting the class climate by a beginner teacher. The theoretical part of my thesis is describing the key concept of class societal climate. Later on, I am describing methods that teachers can use to affect the class societal climate. I have chosen methods of personal and societal education and describing them in detail within the theoretical part. Those methods are described in connection with Framework Education Program of Elementary Education and didactic point of view. In addition, there is a part describing pupils' maturity and their readiness before and after entering school. To be fully oriented in this area, I recognized as a very important thing to also include methods used for collecting information about the status of the class climate. The empirical part of my work incorporates teachers research based on McNiff cyclus. Activities related to Personal and Social Education I divided into separate chapters based on different objectives. Determinants of application of experiential education at Czech basic school

Hanková This thesis focuses on the experiential pedagogy about the implementation of personal and social education. The research aims to investigate and describe the determinants of the experiential pedagogy, particularly about the didactical thinking of group teachers who plan and implement teaching personal and social education in a Czech basic school. The theoretical grounds of this current study are based on the extensive comparison of heterogenous terminology of experiential pedagogy, general didactics, and didactics of personal and social education. This study adopts the qualitative research paradigm with multiple-case- studies research design. The data have been gathered from thematic writing and focus group interviews which were analysed by the content analysis method with the support of axial analysis. The analysis of didactical thinking is concerned with the objective and the experience as a means of learning and reflection and revealed that teachers determine their didactical thinking and practice by the knowledge of the group and individuals concerning psychological safety. The role of Drama-in-Education in personal and social development of persons studying technology at university level Abstract The dissertation thesis deals with application of the Drama-in-Education form in a curriculum of a technical university. The courses at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague were aimed to help the personal and social development of the students. As such courses and the form were unusual in the study plans in the time of research, both the outcome and the students' perception of the courses are studied. In general, the work aims to verify whether the Drama-in-Education form is able to effectively help the personal and social development of technically oriented students in tertiary education. The text consists of two parts. The theoretical part describes the historical and cultural context in which Drama-in-Education and also Personal and Social Education originated and were integrated into the educational process. Enhancement of a communication effectiveness in a class at primary school

This thesis describes a level of communication among a class teacher, her pupils and the pupils themselves in a master class at a first stage, where the author works. The aim of the class teacher is to develop communicative competences that will lead to more effective communication in the class among the class teacher, her pupils and pupils themselves. The theoretical part gives a support to the practical part based on theoretical knowledge. It formulates specifics of pedagogical communication, features verbal communication, observes effective ways and barriers in communication. It submits tools by Personal and social education defining. The tools can reach expected outputs in communication defined in the National Curriculum and the Minimum Preventive Programme. Personality and Social Education and its influence on the classe climate

The topic of my Diplome Thesis is Personal Education and its influence on the class climate at Primary School. In the theoretical part i describe the class climate, its participants, types, approaches and methods of its research. Thereafter, I explore how to optimize class climate. In the second part I describe the Personal and Social Edusation. I analyse the benefits of this croos- curricular topic, I split its contents on the topics and in conclusion, I analyse methodology principles and scheme of work with the aktivity of the Personal and Social Education. In the practical part I do the initial diagnosis of the climate in my class. It builds long- term interventions implemented activities of the Personal and Social Education, which is topped off with the final diagnosis. The comparison of both of the diagnostics, where it is showed a very positive shift, it illustrates the influence of Personal and Social Education in the class climate. PSE as One of the Possibilities of Primary Prevention

This thesis is focused on the possibility of using Personal and Social Education in implementing effective primary prevention program in elementary schools. After the theoretical analysis of primary prevention and Personal and Social Education, the second part of the thesis presents and analyzes a proposed model of prolonged non-specific primary prevention, which is based mainly on the activities of school prevention methodologist. The methodologist is educated in social pedagogy and professionally trained in Personal and Social Education. The school prevention methodologist is employed full-time for this position, he does not teach any other subject but Personal and Social Education. In this part of the thesis there are discussed demands on school prevention methodologist activities and difficulties of presented primary prevention model. The last chapter presents supporting research that took place at four elementary schools in Prague. Observations of the teaching Personal and Social Education, conversations with its teacher and also an analysis of the Minimum Preventive Program of the school were made there.

Leader In Me, the educational program at a primary school

This thesis examines the educational program "The leader in me" and its functioning within the first grades of elementary school. The thesis is divided into three chapters - theoretical, analytical and practical. The first theoretical part introduces the program and defines and explaines the term "habit". The outcomes of the first presented chapter focus on the interconnections between self-management and the Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education. The analytical part summarizes experiences and results gathered during researching the sample elementary school A.B. Combs and other schools that use the examined program in their classrooms. This has been achieved based on the analysis of Czech and foreign resources. The last practical part presents a qualitative survey, whose main objective was to reflect on teaching practices that have been based on methods of self- management and on knowledge gained in the theoretical part of this thesis.

Skill of students primary school to set their personal goals

Diploma thesis named Skill of students primary school to set thein personal goals, maps and describes the components which affect child and how do they influence child's choice of his/hers personal goals. The specification of personal goals is one of the activities of cross- section subject personal and social education, which is set by educational program framework. Its scope requires to name particular activities and their praxis. The thesis id divided into theoretical and practical parts. Theoretical part covers elemental components for personal goals specification, which are divdided into internal and external. The thesis also describes the fundamental basics of personal and social education, its methods and forms. In the practical part there is a model lecture covering two lessons. The lecture is a form of action research, and every realization of the lecture is reflected in detail. The purpose of the lecture is to find out the major motives for personal goals specification and what forms of work to chose while facilitating the lecture. The thesis should help to improve and enhance the work of the teacher, my personal development and as an inspiration for the classes where is performed.
