The issue of professional competences of activation workers in homes for the elderly

The submitted dissertation deals with the issue of activation of seniors, or by analyzing and identifying the competences of activation workers of homes for the elderly. The goal of the work is to define the framework of educational and qualification requirements for an activation worker in homes for the elderly, when this worker is a fundamental employee influencing the sense of security, social involvement and quality of life of the elderly. The research was carried out in the form of qualitative research, based on grounded theory, using structured interviews with activation workers and senior staff of homes for the elderly in the Ústí Region. The topic of activation of seniors is current and socially significant, therefore it is necessary to pay professional attention to workers implementing activation programs and activities. Educational sciences, especially andragogy and gerontagogy, can be included among the key theoretical starting points. Competencies of Real Estate Broker

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze and evaluate activity and competencies of a real estate broker, suggest a competency model, and compare the use of competencies in practice. There are defined terms such as competencies, soft and hard skills, key competencies of a real estate broker, a competence model, and real estate activities. Furthermore, the current situation of selected real estate agents is analyzed, as well as the comparison of theoretically acquired knowledge with information obtained from practice, and lastly, proposed competence models and possible improvements are based on the analysis. The research is carried out on the basis of a questionnaire survey and subsequent analysis of the results from the questionnaires using statistical methods in the Statistica platform.
Employer Branding in selected company

The diploma thesis is focused on Employer Branding in a selected organization. The aim of the work is to propose changes that will lead to the improvement of the current state. These changes are designed based on the analysis of Employer Branding tools of the selected company. The work is divided into three consecutive parts. The first of them is the theoretical part, in which the findings drawn from the literature or Internet sources were processed. The work continues with the practical part, which deals with the characteristics of the selected organization and its Employer Branding activities and tools. The practical part also deals with the analysis of the results of the questionnaire survey. The last part of the work are recommendations that were designed based on the shortcomings identified during the processing of the practical part.
Headmaster's competency at secondary technical schools with technical focus

The diploma thesis deals with the current topic of headmaster's competence at secondary vocational schools, technically oriented. The thesis is based on the general theory of competencies and competency models. It aims to identify the headmaster's competencies at the technical vocational school in Prague and based on these findings create the competence model. On the basis of the literature search, a research was carried out, its purpose was to find out what competences the those people possess, i.e. to identify these competencies and to compile a competence model. The questionnaire survey technique was used as the first, data collection technique. Within the questionnaire survey, all headmasters and deputy headmasters were approached at 15 secondary technical schools in Prague. The third group of respondents was consisted of the founder of these schools. Through the questionnaire survey, we determined the importance of individual competencies. The second used technique was a semi-structured interview with selected representatives of respondent groups (headmasters and deputy headmasters). The interview was used to verify observable formulations that are part of the competency model. Cílem této práce je vytvoření návrhu na rozvoj manažera v soukromém podniku. Prostředkem k tomuto cíli bude vytvoření funkčního kompetenčního modelu, jehož pomocí budu měřit komepence manažera. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na definici manažmentu a funkce manažera, dále definici komepencí a jejích členění. Následně popisuje jednotlivé fáze pro tvorbu kompetenčního modelu a druhy rozvoje vzdělání. Praktická část je zaměřená na popis daného podniku. Poté následuje vytvoření funkčního kompetenčního modelu a jeho praktického ověření. Dalším krokem je měření aktuálních kompetencí manažera, na jehož základě je vytvořen návrh na další jeho vzdělávání.
Social Skills of Middle Management School

Resumé Summary The thesis Social Competence of Middle School Management concerns with school management. It is dealing with its division into three levels according a model of business management. The main focus is on competence models, its application in education environment with attention to social competence in middle school management. The thesis comes from a theory of business management and from English school system experience. The key source is a book A. Gold Management of current school. The theoretical part is dealing also with competence model, a definition of the term competence and mainly with social competences. The competence models in school management are utilizable in selective procedure concerning filling key management vacancies. The competence model of the specific position is also a tool for a feedback and evaluation. The outcome of the questionnaire confirmed the statement, that a simple transfer of the business management division into school environment is not convenient. Furthermore, it was shown, that the most disputable position for inclusion into management level is the deputy headmaster. Comparison of competency models of headmasters at elementary schools in Prague 10

The thesis deals with the comparison of the competency models of headmaster of elementary schools in Prague 10. The theoretical part explains the basic terms as "competency", "key competency" and compares the definitions of different scientific sources. It describes their structure as well as the life cycle. Further on the thesis deals with the competency models in general and primarily with the models of the managers of the schools. The role of the competency model is highlighted as well as its reasons and its implementation. In the practical part the thesis deals with the qualitative investigation where the author compares the competency models that were created by shadowing and some other additional methods. The competencies were evaluated on base of the criteria of the competency model created by I. Lhotkova (2012). The output of the investigation is a case study in which the differences of the headmaster competencies in Prague 10, with similar conditions of leading the schools and with similar support from founders, are described. Big discrepancy in the competencies were not proved, on the other hand similar issues were detected.
