Michal Zamboj, Ph.D., Department of Mathematics and Mathema- tical Education Abstract: The aim of this thesis is to reveal various errors and issues that high school students face in triangle construction problems. The thesis is divided into two parts for clarity. In the theoretical part we deal with construction problems in general and look into their various solution methods and formal procedures recommended by high school textbooks. Next, we focus on sets of points of a given property (that are part of the high school curriculum), give related denitions, basic properties and use cases. For better understanding of the demonstrated problems the thesis is lled with au- xiliary graphs made in the program GeoGebra. In the last chapter of the theoretical part, we introduce various problems that are expected to occur during geometry con- struction problem solving by students themselves. Those were the main focus of the following study. The preparation of the study, its implementation and subsequent ana- lysis of collected data is described in the practical part of the thesis. RNDr. Zdeněk Drozd, Ph.D., Department of Physics Education Abstract: This doctoral thesis is aimed at chosen aspects of teaching of thermodynamics on high school. The thesis can be divided into two main parts: The research part deals with investigation of typical students' conceptual difficulties in the field of thermal phenomena and its primary goal is to identify the most distinctive misconceptions of observed population. More than 500 students were questioned using a conceptual test both as pretest and posttest; approximately half of them also participated in the retention test which took part two years after pretest. The results of the conceptual test are connected with data obtained on the basis of the simultaneously conducted research of students' attitudes. The developmental part of the thesis - partly inspired by previous misconception research - deals with arranging, documentation and testing of experiments relevant to teaching of thermodynamics. High school students and the choice of university in families without university education

The bachelor thesis named High school students and the choice of university in families without university education will focus on decision to choose a university from the point of view of a high school student and his parent. The goal of this thesis is to point out factors influencing the choices of a high school student leading to continue study at the university and further to find out, what influences parents in supporting their children in further education. I specifically explore the situation of families, where the parents have not achieved university education. The theoretical part will familiarize the reader with basic concepts connected to choosing univerzity, choosing work and school and family environment, that have an effect on an idnividual. Furthermore in the theoretical part of my thesis, I focus on psychological evolvement of humans beings, specifically adolescence and emerging adulthood. In the empirical part I plan a qualitative research. Semi-structured interviews will be used for data collection. The data will be processed via open coding (grounded theory). The examined sample will consist of 6 respodents in the third year of general and vocational high schools and 3 parents with completed high school education. Pupils ' understanding of irrational numbers

Diplomová práce zkoumá žákovské porozumění iracionálním čísl·m. Cílem bylo zmapovat a zhodnotit porozumění žák· ze druhého a třetího ročníku na gymnáziu. Vyhodnocení probíhalo na základě dotazníkového šetření od 69 respondent· a polostrukturovaného rozhovoru od 12 z nich. Výsledky ukázaly, že pro velkou část těchto žák· jsou všechna čísla s neukončeným desetinným rozvojem považována za čísla iracionální a s ukončeným desetinným rozvojem za čísla racionální. V závěru práce uvádím dva přístupy, které by mohly zmírnit tuto chybnou představu. 1

Brand product as a symbol of young participants

This theses Brand product as a symbol of young participants is focused on the phenomenon of brands, which is interpreted through its relation to social status. In the theoretical part of the theses there are two contradictory views discussed (T. Veblen's and G. Lipovetsky's), which provide two different points of view concerning contemporary society and the relation between luxurious goods and social status. Through this discussion the thesis provides the characteritics of youth in the context of its developement during the 20th century. Another discussed topic are marketing techniques focusing on today's young generation. In the research part the author aims to find a connection between luxurious brands consumption and the concept of status among young adults studying Czech high schools. Results did not prove this connection to be very strong, and it seems therefore that Lipovetsky's point of view was the one closer to our analysis.

Title: Compilation and Validation of the Teambuilding Program for High School Students. Objectives: The main objective is the compilation and validation of the teambuilding program m for improving the atmosphere and communication in a selected high school class. Methods: Different methods were used In this bachelor thesis. For detecting atmosphere in the high school class a questionnaire was used. Sociometric investigation was used for mapping relations and an interview was used for completion of information necessary for the compilation of the teambuilding program. Results: It was detected that the program in its current form fulfils expectations. For further usage notes were written regarding improvement in particular areas which should lead to better results.
