Human being by Ibn Rushd and Maimonides

This thesis interprets the concept of human being in the work of Maimonides and ibn Rushd, two representatives of major Arab and Jewish medieval philosophy. It combines the ancient Greek philosophical tradition, especially Aristotle, with a religious context. When Maimonides and Ibn Rushd tried to harmonize these two traditions, they had to deal with many opposite views, that stemmed from the difference between religious and ancient world. Behind this intellectual ground have they created the original thesis and approaches to grasping reality, the world and the human being in it. The issue of human being is analyzed in three levels. The first level consists of the relationship between human being and creation, which addresses the question about origin of the world the human soul and the resurrection. The second level, i.e. the man and the world, is devoted to describing a scheme of the world, human knowledge and the theory of prophecy. Ethical and political views are analyzed on the third level, which represents the position of human being in relation to the polis. Issues of Values of Education in Postmodern Society in the Early 21st Century

The aim of the thesis is to outline the issues of current conception of values as moral standards in postmodern society and to identify the consequences of this conception for education. The thesis tries to analyze current pluralist society on the base of literature, which is relevant to given subject. The thesis deals with a question, if and under what conditions is possible to determine socially valid values and if is possible to integrate them into the process of education. The text is divided into two chapters, the first of them deals with issues of postmodern society, pluralism and philosophical deconstruction and tries to indicate relations with education. The second chapter is focused on the problem of values, current educational objectives and the last part of this chapter is focused on the authority of education in current society. The Images of Nature in the Works of Turgenev

Bachelor thesis gives an overall analysis of selected works of the famous Russian poet, prose writer and playwright, Ivan Sergeyevich Turgenev. The thesis focuses on the major theme of his works. The bachelor thesis investigates above all the author's perception of natural images in the selected works; and it aims at the role of different themes. The comparison analysis is grounded on the period context and biographical facts, which incredibly influenced the author, but it is based on the works of various Russian authors as well, in their works we can find similarities with the above mentioned theme. Emerson's influence on women in works of Nathaniel Hawthorne

Due to its emphasis on the concepts of self-reliance, inner guidance and the aboriginal Self, Ralph Waldo Emerson's philosophy elaborates theses that favor the individual over community, such as the superiority and sanctity of self-definition, as opposed to definitions constructed by society and imposed on the individual. It is possible, then, to perceive his philosophy as important for the formation of the Women's Rights Movement and for the emerging feminism. In his four romances, Nathaniel Hawthorne creates female protagonists who advocate for women's right to self-reliance as Emerson describes it. Hawthorne's heroines can be understood and interpreted as contemplating the Emersonian principles, thus illustrating the connection between Emerson's philosophy, and themes and motifs present in Hawthorne's romances. Related to Hawthorne's portrayal of the heroines' reflections on the concepts of inner guidance, the aboriginal Self, moral dereliction and self-reliance is Hawthorne's attitude toward the relationship between "womanhood" and "femininity" on one side, and "manhood" and "masculinity" on the other side. To think from psychededic experiences means to introduce a transdisciplinary model of psychedelic domain. This model is based on autoethnographic, cognitive, phenomenological and psychopharmacological types of analysis. These analyses allow to demonstrate: 1) place of psychedelics in contemporary globalised czech society; 2) possible heuristic (theoretical and experiemental) value of psychedelic experience for understanding human situation. This text interprets psychedelic experience as a process of deteritorialization and reteritorialization that occurs on different, intertwinned levels of our experience, and, thus, it is a contribution to explication of a philosophical concept of intertwinning. Information Systems Quality Measurement and Evaluation

This dissertation thesis includes a concept of an information system evaluation based on the criteria provided with respect to the philosophical, historical and cultural context and using contemporary methodologies well proven in industrial quality assurance systems. The reasoning and proper foundations are made with the sampling methodology through the selected sources interpretation. A comprehensive and an integral approach apply paradigms inspired with for example Aristotle, Giordano Bruno, Confucius and also with the contemporary authorities in philosophy and arts (Belohradsky), information science (Wiener, Shannon, Nielsen), management (Ducker), economy (Stieglitz), psychology and sociology (Kohoutek, Koukolik), quality assurance systems and software and information technology quality assurance systems based on the CSN, EN, ISO and IEC standards. The essence and the nature of information are put to the relation with a value in its social, economic and ethic sense. Based on the information systems quality model designed on such basis, using the statistic methodologies and the seven year data retention pool, the managerial information systems quality evaluation is given with respect to the related processes in the electric generation facilities environment.
