Social media as a tool for promotion of artistic craftsmanship

The Diploma Theses aims to investigate the role of social media in promotion of particular art-craft workshops. Based on half-structured qualitative interviews we analysed, what is the role of promotion of art-crafts on social media in their competitiveness and long-term sustainability. Also, we focused on how do the owners of art-crafts workshops evaluate the role of social media in promotion of artistic craftsmanship and finally, which particular practices or types of content work the best in their opinions, either isolated or in context of other promotional techniques and channels. The goal of this research was to understand how exactly art-craft workshops use social media to promote themselves. The main social media sites appearing in the research are Facebook and Instagram, but also others. During the research we managed to discover other interesting findings related to the community of followers and their function, or to concepts of WOM and Direct marketing. As well as we managed to cover reactions of the owners of art-craft workshops to recent changes in Facebook's algorithms and its practical impact on them.
The Influence of Copywriting on E-mail Newsletters Effectiveness

This bachelor's thesis describes the influence of copywriting on email newsletter effectiveness. The theoretical part is dedicated to circumscribing the role of copywriter, specifying the value of copywriter's work and summarising available linguistic means for producing commercial texts. Given the interdisciplinary character of the topic, the thesis is mainly based on literature covering topics such as theory of communication, creativity research, linguistics, rhetoric, e-mail marketing and professional literature for copywriters and marketers. At the beginning, copywriting is set into the context of theory of communication followed by a brief description of the creative process and linguistic means strengthening persuasive effect, such as stylization, arguments and rhetorical figures. Specific recommendations adapted from professional literature are supplemented with the available findings of the scientific studies that tested them. In the last section of the theoretical part, the developmental process of commercial communication is described in seven steps. The practical part examines the hypothesis that the texts written by a copywriter are more successful in satisfying given goals than those written by an amateur. Communication Mix Proposal

The Bachelor’s thesis deals with the optimization and the designof the e-shop communication mix. The thesis is divided into three main chapters. The firts one is dedicated to the theoretical knowledge of the area od marketing, the second one contains basic data and analysis performed. In the third chapter, the improvement of the existing communication mix of the company is suggested, based on the theoretical knowledge and subsequent analysis of the problems and the actual condition. It includes the suggestion of the new promotional methods which will lead to a better communication with the public and the consequent increase of the number of the customers.

Basic and the most important terms closely connected with marketing strategy on the Internet are descibed in this diploma thesis. The practical part contains processed SWOT, market, competition and customer analysis. Online marketing strategy which should increase awareness of the brand of a particular company, test each form of promotion and in case of success to gain new orders is created on the basis of the evaluation of the environment and prospects of the company. A practical goal is removing weaknesses of the company found by means of SWOT analysis. At the same time the theme of this thesis can meet a practical usage fot the readers who search up-to-date knowledge for marketing of their companies in the same or similar business branch.

This bachelor thesis analyzes and suggestions a new e-commerce of a firm. What are the options currently in implementation and marketing promotion of online store. Selecting an optimal design solution for the business with protective working aid, working clothes and shoes, it´s implementation and successful launch on the online market. In the first part of this bachelor´s work we will introduce some theoretical things and in the second part we will use it for creation of e-commerce. The result is the fully functional online store, which makes an economic profit.

Text readability analysis

This semestral work deals with the EOG signal recording in reading condition. The theoretical part contains description of physiology and anatomy of ocular system, types of ocular movements and its use during a reading process. Principles of copywriting and typographic text parameters, which influence text readability, are introduced in this work as well. Principle of electrooculography and description of detectable elements in obtained signal are explained in chapter EOG. The chosen algorithm is described in the next chapter. Some detected parametres are converted into a single parameter which expresses the text readability. The results are statistically processed and there are made recommendations for the creation of optimally readable text.

This BSc Project was performed during a study stay at the Coventry University, UK. The goal of this project is to enhance the accessibility and usability of an existing company presentation located at http://www.hcc.cz, boost the site's traffic and so increase the company's revenues. The project follows these steps to accomplish this: a ) A partial refactoring of the back-end (PHP scripts). b ) Transformation of the website contents according to the recommendations of the World Wide Web consortium (W3C) and in particular to those of the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI). c ) Application of the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques and analysis of their impact. In this step, the project touches upon the Search Engine Marketing (SEM).
