Training zones estimation

Training zones, or exercise intensity zones, are a vital part of modern sport. Assessing these zones is not only costly but also needs to be done quite frequently. This paper proposes a new way of assessing training zones to overcome these challenges - based on DFA alpha1. It shows that laboratory assessment of training zones by DFA alpha1 is quite accurate. However, its usage to monitor exercise intensity in daily use is not as accurate, especially during low and medium intensity exercises.

Tréning založený na tréningových zónach je dôležitou súčasťou moderného športu. Tieto tréningové zóny sa zvyčajne určujú na základe parametrov výmeny plynov alebo hladín laktátu v krvi, ktoré sa merajú počas laboratórneho odstupňovaného záťažového testu. Na základe týchto testov sa športovcom určia prahové hodnoty srdcovej frekvencie alebo záťaže, v rámci ktorých by mali udržiavať požadovanú intenzitu cvičenia. V posledných rokoch sa objavila nová metóda merania tréningových zón v laboratóriu s možnosťou ich zobrazenia športovcom v rovnakej metrike, v akej boli namerané - na základe koeficientu DFA alfa1 variability srdcovej frekvencie (HRV). Táto práca predstavuje aplikáciu na zobrazovanie tréningových zón v reálnom čase na základe koeficientu DFA alfa1 HRV a výpočet ich reprezentácie tepovou frekvenciou na základe laboratórneho testu. Zobrazovanie trénigových zón v reálnom čase na základe DFA alpha1 však nesie minimálnu podobnosť s referenčnými dátami (presnosť 22,39%, Kohenovo =0,05), preto je v tomto smere aplikácia nepoužiteľná. Na druhej strane však dosahuje dostatočné výsledky pri laboratórnom testovaní ( 3 ± 2 bpm, p>0.05), aby bola v tomto smere označená za použiteľnú.

This work focuses on the issue of measuring and predicting indoor air quality using the Python programming language. It includes an analysis of existing methods for air quality monitoring, the design of a data collection model, the creation of a predictive model, and the application of computational algorithms to address this issue.
Effect of acquisition site compression in multisite photoplethysmography

The theoretical part of the thesis describes the pulse wave's origin, the principle of photoplethysmography, and the influence of vein compression on the morphology of the photoplethysmograph caused by external pressure during PPG signal measurement. Furthermore, the thesis contains the measurement and analysis of the PPG bilateral signal, which is used for the evaluation of whether there are differences between the PPG signal measured on the left or the right side of the human body. A dataset consisting of 10 volunteers was created for evaluation. The practical part contains the algorithm which analysis the PPG signal. Furthermore, normalization and statistical analysis is performed. The results show that external pressure has an effect on pulse wave width analysis and heart rate. When the pressure is high, the ability of pulse wave analysis is impaired.
Gait analysis using EMG signals

This bachelors thesis is focused on the analysis of gait using EMG signals. It includes the physiology of a muscular system, with a focus on the lower limb. Bipedal walking consist of ste system that are described and explained also with the movements of the joints. Another chapter is dedicated of Electromyography and this application to the walk analysis. This thesis also includes designing a custom program enabling dataprocessing. Thi final chapter focuses od the data processing. The final chapter focuses on the data analysis and its evaluation.
QRS detection using zero crossing counting

This master's thesis describes basics principles of QRS complex detection. It is focused on QRS detection using zero crossing counts method. There are described princips and program realization of this method. The other part is focused on genetic optimalization algorithm. There are presented obtained optimalization results on standard CSE and MIT-BIH database. The quality of the detector is compared with other authors. The optimalized QRS detector achieves comparable results with other authors. The part of the thesis is graphical user interface which supply view on modified ECG signal and detection results.
Electrooculogram based text comprehensibility evaluation

This thesis deals with principles and measuring of electrooculography (EOG) and with electrooculography signal utilization for assessment of reading comprehension. The basic physiology and anatomy of the eye, types of eye movement and identifiable elements in EOG during reading are described in thesis. Methodology of electrooculogram-based text comprehensibility evaluation is described and verified by recording of EOG of ten volunteers using Biopac system. Detection of identifiable elements is implemented by Matlab. The last steps of process are statistical evaluation of data and revers identification of text complexity.
Reccurence plot for heart rate variability analysis

The aim of this thesis is to describe the variability of cardiac rhythm and familiarity with the methods of the analysis, ie by monitoring changes in heart rhythm electrogram signal recording and using the methods in the time domain using recurrent diagram. The work describes the quantification of the methods and possibilities of quantifiers in the evaluation of heart rate variability analysis. It also describes the clinical significance of heart rate variability and diagnostic capabilities changes of heart rate variability caused by ischemic heart disease. The practical part describes how to create applications in Matlab to calculate the quantifiers analysis of heart rate variability in the time domain using recurrent diagram. The calculation was made of the positions R wave elektrogram signal isolated rabbit hearts. The calculated values of quantifiers both methods were statistically evaluated and discussed.
Pulse visualization in videosequence of face

In the semestral thesis is given basic methods of non-contact measurement heart rate. There is explained Eulerian video magnification method deals with the visualization of the pulse in the videosequence of face. The semestral thesis describes algorithm Viola-Jones face detection in images and algorithm Kanade-Lucas-Tomasi for tracking faces in the videosequence. Part of the work includes design and realization of measurement. There is explained realization of the program and documented execution results, which are discussed. From the results it is designed to guide for optimal recording.
Fatigue evaluation using electromyography

The aim of the diploma thesis is the design and implementation of methods for detecting fatigue in electromyogram (EMG). At first is done a literature review on the topic of fatigue detection in electromyography (EMG). Measurement of fatigue-induced changes in the EMG signal is performed on ten subjects using the Biopac ©. Next is in the thesis solved the selection of the optimal methods of evaluating the fatigue-induced changes in EMG recording using statistical testing. In the final part of the thesis is discussion on the results of statistical testing, creation a user interface in Matlab © and comprehensive instructions for laboratory focused on the topic of fatigue in the EMG signal.
