The integration of shadow projections in the teaching of C.G. Jung and its possible benefits for theological ethics of interpersonal relationships
Otáhal, Tomáš ; Červenková, Denisa (advisor) ; Bouma, David (referee)
In the first part, this thesis is examining the psychology of C. G. Jung, especially those parts, which are somehow connected to interpersonal relationships. That means foremostly the psychological projections and mechanisms, which are causing those projections. By those mechanisms, I mean the dynamics of consciousness - unconsciousness, the shadow and the cognitive functions. Besides those concepts and mechanisms, the thesis aims to explore the way which Jung ascribes to deal with those shadow projections - in favor of improving the interpersonal relationships. This deed lays mainly in the so-called individuation, with main focus on the shadow integration. The aim of the second part of this thesis is to reflect upon the C. G. Jung's psychology from the theological ethics point of view. The thesis is defining the criteria of goodness of the interpersonal relationship from the theological ethics standpoint. Then further uses those criteria to clarify the conditions under which could be maintained the dialogue and cooperation between theology and psychology and thus, under which conditions is theologically acceptable to utilize C. G. Jung's findings.
Cooperation of First and Second Graders in the Learning Process
Markupová, Pavla ; Tomková, Anna (advisor) ; Marušák, Radek (referee)
The work deals with the cooperation of pupils among first and second grade pupils in a primary school. It analyzes to which extent are second grade pupils able to give their knowledge to pupils of the first grade. Then it shows how the learning style and the personality affects the cooperation of an individual within the group. The practical part proofs the long-term investigation in one class that was systematically prepared for the cooperation among older and younger pupils. The results of this research in the observed class evaluate higher level of cooperative and communication skills of individual pupils than those, who previously did not deal with cooperation. Teaching pupils how to cooperate gradually developed their relationship not only to younger classmates, but to the willingness to help each other, to respect the opinions of others and it also strengthened the relationships in the observed classroom. Enneagram-Development of Personality Type Test
Kilianová, Jana ; Bahbouh, Radvan (advisor) ; Niederlová, Markéta (referee)
The enneagram typology describes nine personality types and their mutual relations. It is a theoretical construct whose psychological validity is still being scientifically verified. The focus of this work is to develop a reliable and valid psychometric tool for recognizing the enneagram type and thereby verify the validity of this typology. The theoretical section describes the enneagram system on the basis of available literature and reviews research that set it in the psychological context. The empirical section deals with the development of the test to determine the ennea-type, with verification of its psychometric characteristics and criterion validity, and at the same time it examines the construct validity of enneagram typology. The criterion to review the validity is The Essential Enneagram Test by David Daniels, type identification by interview and self-identification. A quantitative data analysis was conducted on the sample of 300 persons of both, men and women of all ages using various kinds of statistical methods. The findings indicate that the tool developed to identify the ennea-type is reliable, of good psychometric quality and satisfactory criterion validity. Furthermore, the research supported the existence of nine enneagram types as per the theoretical construct, yet did not...

The concept of teaching macroeconomics at higher education institutions with economics-based curricula
Marková, Lucie ; Rotport, Miloslav (advisor) ; Asztalos, Ondřej (referee) ; Pavelková, Jaroslava (referee)
The ultimate objective of the present PhD thesis is to propose effective instructional methods to be employed in teaching macroeconomics as an academic subject, their selection being determined by the personality type recognition of the students of economics-based academic programmes. First, a current state of academic education and an increase in the number of university/college students, schools and faculties are analysed. Within the sector of higher education institutions (HEI) providing academic training in economic sciences, the focus is on the rationale of the inclusion of macroeconomics in their syllabi. Having conducted the quantitative research, the MBTI questionnaire being employed to measure personality types, the composition of academic study groups in the chosen economics-based schools was examined from the viewpoint of the given typology. An analysis of currently applied forms and methods of instruction in macroeconomics at the Private University College of Economic Studies (PUCES) is accompanied by the interpretation of their impact on the academic achievements of particular personality types. Based on the research findings, appropriate teaching methods are matched with respective personality types and subsequently with the entire study group comprising different types of personalities. The present dissertation thesis consists of an introduction, seven chapters and a conclusion. The introduction presents the aim of the thesis, an overview of the current state of relevant research on the topic as well as research hypotheses and methodology. Chapter 1 explores the current state of HEI programmes affected by soaring numbers of students, HEIs and their faculties. Chapter 2 focuses on macroeconomics as a scientific discipline and an academic subject incorporated in the syllabuses of the selected HEIs. Chapter 3 concentrates on academic teaching, outlining the philosophies, modes and methods of academic instruction. In chapter 4, personality typologies are exposed, focusing selectively on their development, emphasising those with significant social influence. The MBTI personality typology is given special attention, corresponding basic personality dimensions, dispositions and study successfulness being considered. Chapter 5 describes the results of the research of the student groups' structure according to MBTI typology in five chosen HEIs, summarizing the outcomes from the schools being tested. In chapter 6, macroeconomics examination results achieved by PUCES students are displayed, being related to respective personality categories in compliance with the above typology. In the last chapter, optimal methods and instructional approaches are suggested for teaching particular personality types of students, the heterogeneous composition of the study groups being taken into consideration.
