Leadership styles of the school canteen managers

Thesis deals with the issue of people management and management styles of school canteens managers. The theoretical part of the thesis, based on the literature, deals mainly with the various ways of management, personality of the manager and his role in the team. The research took place among school canteens managers, which are part of the elementary schools, and provides an assessment of the cerrent situation. The aim of my work was to analyze the current used methods of management of school canteens managers and to propose optimal management style in school canteens at the basic school. The final thesis is focused on the managerial function of people management.
Application of the Person-Centered Approach (PCA) principles in management

The basic objective of the theoretical part of this diploma thesis is to present Rogers' Person- centred Approach (PCA) in terms of its development, theory, basic principles and potential applications out of therapeutical context, with emphasis on leadership. The first chapter is devoted to general knowledge of the PCA and in the second chapter there is a more detailed description of possible applications of the PCA in management. The basic objective of the empirical part is to verify the relationship between main necessary conditions of PCA in people management (respectively in person-centered leadership) and employees' organizational commitment. The quantitative research in the form of correlation study has been carried out on a sample of 63 respondents, employees of various organizations in various fields. Barrett-Lennard Relationship Inventory (BLRI) and Organizational Commitment Questionnaire (OCQ) were used as research methods. The results show the significant correlation between organizational commitment and measures of empathic understanding, congruence, and level of regard expressed by managers towards employees. Analysis of Employee Motivation and Proposals for Improvement

This thesis deals with the motivation and remuneration of employees in the company Erste Group Shared Services. Based on the information obtained is analyzed the current situation in the company. Using the survey is examined employee satisfaction with motivational resources used. The final section provides suggestions for streamlining motivation, increase labor productivity and improve employee satisfaction.

In my thesis I will deal with the current motivations and working conditions of employees. Analyze the business questionnaire and a personal consultation with all stakeholders in the company. The modern companies is increasingly realizing that prosperity of the companies is not only based on advanced technology, on the famously elaborate strategy but that the functioning of society depends on people themselves. Coaching is presented as a modern method of development potential employees on the basis of coaching freely determine their objectives over time achieve alone. Personal development of employees as well as the author considered a form of competitive advantage because satisfied and motivated employees are seen as a valuable source of the companies. Increased appetite for work, effort for increase their results and productivity, better perception of motivation - that all the author understands as the examples of positive results of coaching. To these positive effects were reached, it requires knowledge of substance and ideas, understanding of this method. The author is in the practical part of thesis focuses on students and graduates because she perceives them as a group preferred by modern companies. The aim of the practical part is to show which knowledge has the segmented group on the method and whether any such knowledge or ignorance is a sign of positive or negative results of coaching.

Effective non-verbal communication, communication through body language, is one of the fundamental prerequisites for successful manager's performance. The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the importance of nonverbal communication in human resource management and, on the example of management style and nonverbal communication of two the most successful managers in the world of information and communication technologies, Steve Jobs and Bill Gates, to formulate basic recommendations for effective nonverbal communication of current and future managers. Organically growing companies usually reach a point when people management starts to be challenging up to such scale that influences their further development. This master thesis in its first part covers basic topics essential for people management, especially communication, work motivation, job design and leadership. In the second part of this work is focus put on empiric research of a concrete situation inside the selected company, analyses of management interviews and employee questionnaires. The last part then presents a set of recommendations adjusted directly for the researched company in order to help improve current situation.
