Preventing burnout syndrome of short-term foster carers
Kaše, Adam ; Angelovská, Olga (advisor) ; Šťastná, Jaroslava (referee)
Burnout syndrome is a topic studied since the 1970s with increasing vigour and interest. This phenomenon, characterised in particular by mental and physical exhaustion, negative feelings related to the workload and environment, or general apathy, is primarily associated with workers in the helping professions. However, to date, there has not been a single research study on burnout in short-term foster carers. Therefore, the empirical part of the thesis presents research targeting the experiences of this vulnerable group in the Czech Republic, mapping the current status, risk factors and possible prevention of burnout syndrome. The research uses a qualitative design and the method of semi-structured interviews. Despite the methodological limitations of the study, the results show that despite minor variations in personal opinions, there is rather a consensus among the respondents regarding the perceived risks of burnout syndrome. This suggests that burnout syndrome in transient foster carers is a promising area for further research and a topic for stimulating discussion. Key words: burnout syndrome; foster family care; short-term foster carers

Gazdová, Marie ; Novák, Petr (advisor) ; Drahoňovský, Jan (referee)
The bachelor's thesis will be focused on the drawing of the "enchanted family". In the theoretical part, I deal with concepts related to the family. I also deal with surrogate family care, its forms, the perception of family care, etc. The theoretical text also contains an approach to the topic of children's drawing, especially its developmental stages, family drawings and drawings of the "enchanted family." The practical part is focused on drawing an "enchanted family" with children from foster families and talking to them. With the drawing of the enchanted family, it is essential that the child can express his view of the individual members of the family by bewitching them into an animal. Drawing in my research part is used to get to know the child's personality, especially his relationships between family members and his overall experience while drawing. I also decided on child development and substitute family care. Keywords Family, Foster Care, Child, Child Drawing, Family Drawing, Enchanted Family Drawing

Gabrišová, Barbora ; Hendrychová, Michaela (advisor) ; Šustek, Petr (referee)
Theory, practice and prospects of foster care in the Czech Republic Abstract The thesis deals with the issue of foster care, as a traditional private law institute of alternative family care, which has significant public law features. The aim of the thesis is to provide a comprehensive view of the legal regulation of foster care de lege lata not only from a theoretical perspective, but also to point out some practical consequences of the application of the legal regulation in question. Part of the thesis is also devoted to the prospects of regulatory developments of foster care following the upcoming legislative changes in the field of alternative care for children. If, from objective or subjective reasons, the child's parents cannot personally care for the child, the state must ensure a suitable alternative care for such a child. One of these forms of alternative care is foster care, which provides a solution to the lack of personal care for child by his or her parents in an environment that resembles a family as much as possible. That is why foster care holds an irreplaceable position within the system of alternative care for children. First, the thesis provides a brief explanation of the history and development of foster care and its legal regulation in the territory of the Czech Republic, also in view...
